COLEY, Alfreda
Isle Aux Morts, NL
July 28, 1934 - June 8, 2010

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Alfreda Coley announce her peaceful passing at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques on Tuesday, June 8th, 2010 at the age of 75 years. She was predeceased by her husband Thomas Sr. and her two sons: Arthur and Sandy. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Thomas Jr. (Alice), Ernie (Michelle), Henry (Leona), Dennis (Kim), Ward (Ada), Ellen (Jack), Milly (Ron), Alice (Bob), and Judy; two sisters: Ruth (Matthew) and Phyllis (Henry); two brothers: Ward (Alice) and Fred (Betty); 20 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren, as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. Friends visited Holy Spirit Anglican Church in Isle Aux Morts on Wednesday and Thursday, from where the Funeral Service was held on Friday, June 11th at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Duncan Granter officiated. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery in Margaree. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port aux Basques. The family guest book may be signed by visiting our website www.fillatre.ca

DOWNEY, Loyola Joseph
(February 26, 1936 - June 14, 2010
)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Loyola Joseph Downey announces his passing on Monday June 14, at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 74 years. Born in the Codroy Valley Loyola was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Downey. He was also predeceased by his sisters; Stella, Sheila, Linda, Dola, brother Kevin and niece Rucinia. He leaves to mourn with many fond memories his brothers; James (Cecilia) British Columbia, Joseph Great Codroy, Bernard (Lori) Conception Bay NL. Sisters; Geraldine Hayden, Nora Mahoney both of Conception Bay NL, Leila (Ray) Murphy, Rita Downey, all of Halifax NS, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation took place on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and continued on Wednesday at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church in Upper Ferry. Funeral mass took place on Thursday June 17, 10:30 AM at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, officiated by Father Edward Terry. Interment followed at Mount St. Thomas Roman Catholic Cemetery. KEEPING, Corella
Burnt Islands, NL
October 13, 1924 - June 10, 2010
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Corella Keeping announce her passing on Thursday, June 10th, 2010 at the Dr. Charles Legrow Health Centre in Port Aux Basques at the age of 85 years. Born in Burnt Islands, Corella was the daughter of the late John and Susanna Fudge (nee Taylor). She was also predeceased by her husband Wilson Keeping and two sons: Kent and Terrance Keeping and brother George Fudge. She leaves to mourn her family: Betty (Gordon), Lorraine (Gerald), Wilson (Sheila), George (Jacqueline), Roland (Dora), Dana, Jerome (Theresa), Gordon (Charlene) and sister Martha Hann, daughter-in-law Louise Keeping, 18 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren, other relatives and a circle of friends. Visitation took place on Friday and Saturday at St. George's Anglican Church in Burnt Islands, from where the Funeral Service took place on Sunday, June 13th at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Rev. Clayton Billard. Interment followed at Hillside Haven Cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques. OSMOND, Ronald Joseph

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald Joseph Osmond announces his passing on Friday, June 11, 2010 at Western Memorial Hospital in Corner Brook at the age of 66 years. Born at Middle Barachois Ronald was the son of the late Frances Osmond. He was also predeceased by his first wife Winnifred Osmond. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving family, wife Margaret of 25 years marriage Cape Ray, NL. Sons Keith Osmond Cape Ray, NL, Curtis Osmond Cape Ray, NL, Jerry Wall (Patsy) Cape Ray, NL, Dean Osmond Port Aux Basques, NL, Charlie Osmond (Michelle) N.S., Victor Osmond Port Aux Basques, NL. Daughters Mabel Osmond Yellow Knife, N.W. T, Nancy Downey (David) N.S., Tina Organ N.S., Sharon Osmond Stephenville Crossing NL, Tanya Osmond (Francis Collier) Codroy, NL.18 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren. Visitation took place on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral services took place on Monday June 14, 2 PM at St. John The Evangelist Church, Cape Ray officiated by Rev. Peter Boote. Interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. SAVERY, Susie Catherine
(September 18, 1908 - June 19, 2010)

Surrounded by her loving family Susie Catherine Savery aged 101, slipped quietly from earth's bright day into the eternal light of heaven, reuniting with her Husband Robert, and her parents Stephen and Eleanor Hardy. Leaving behind with saddened hearts her daughters Eileen Blackmore, Ruth (Stanley) LeDrew all of Port aux Basques. Grandchildren; Susanne (Hubert) Ingram, Rita (Wayne) Anderson all of Port aux Basques. Dianne (Donald) Gray Cape Breton. Derek (Kellie) Walters Halifax NS, Robert (Evelyn) Blackmore Port aux Basques, David (Debbie) Blackmore Halifax NS, Paul (Jean) Blackmore Musquodobit NS. 13 great grandchildren, 8 great, great grandchildren, special family friend Anne Lawrence and a large circle of nieces, nephews, many, many friends, especially her friends and the staff at Mountain Hope Manor where she resided for over 10 years. Visitation took place on Sunday and Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home. A celebration of Susie's life took place on Tuesday June 22, 2 PM at St. James Anglican Church, Channel officiated by Rev. Hannah Dicks. Interment followed at St. James Anglican Cemetery, Barachois Hill. Donations in Susie's memory can be made to St. James Memorial or Cemetery funds. SAVOURY, Gordon Philip
Jan 9, 1939 - June 29, 2010
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gordon Savoury announce his passing at Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Centre on Tuesday, June 29th, 2010 at the age of 71 years. He was predeceased by his mother Lena; father George; brother Frank, and sister Jean Brake. He leaves to mourn brother Carl (Mabel); sister-in-law Ethel; brother-in-law Don Brake; special friends Florence (Kevin) Reid, their son Russell and daughter Samantha from Sydney, NS, as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, and friends. Friends visited Fillatre's Funeral Home, Port Aux Basques on Wednesday and Thursday. The Funeral Service took place at St. James Anglican Church on Friday, July 2nd at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Hannah Dicks officiating. Interment followed at Barachois Hill Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St. James Church Piano Fund.

WALL, Joseph (Brian)
(December 25, 1949 - June 15, 2010)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Joseph Brian Wall announces his passing on Tuesday June 15, 2010 at Dr. Charles L Legrow Health Center at the age of 60 years. Brian was predeceased by his mother Rita Wall. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories his loving family; wife Vina of 39 years marriage. Sons, Keith (Alyson) Port aux Basques, Trevor of Stephenville. Grandsons; Noah and Scotty. His father Michael (Georgina) South Branch. Brother Stephen (Edna) South Branch. Sisters; Caroline (Paul) Hanlon St. John's NL, Sandra (Ken) Kendall Port Colbourne ON, Esther Wall St. Andrews, and a large circle of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many, many, friends. Visitation took place on Wednesday and Thursday at St. Sylvester's Roman Catholic Church in South Branch. The funeral mass took place on Friday June 18, 1 PM at St. Sylvester's Roman Catholic Church, officiated by Father Edward Terry. Interment followed at St. Sylvester's Roman Catholic Cemetery.
