It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth Anne Ingram announce
her passing at LeGrow Health Care Centre on Saturday, May 7, 2005 in
her 87 year. Elizabeth was a member of the Legion, Past President of the Legion
Auxiliary, member of the LOBA and CN Pensioners. She leaves to mourn with fond
and precious memories her husband, Nelson of 56 years; children, Tom Lomond (Dorothy),
Margaret Hayman (Allan), George Ingram (Barbara), Leander Ingram (Mary Ann),
Brenda Ingram (Edwin), and David Ingram (Joanne); 13 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren;
sisters, Harriett Green and Betty Battiste; sisters-in-law, Hannah Ford, Alice
Ford, Maggie Ford; brother-in-law, David Snow. She is predeceased by her parents,
Charles (lost on the Caribou) and Maude Ford; first husband, Victor Lomond (lost
on the Caribou); sisters, Lena Bungay, Pearl Buffett, Esther Green, Lillian Currie;
Brothers Tom, Edgar, Gerald, Wilson and Joseph Ford. Visitation took place from
Fillatre's Funeral Home on Sunday, May 8, 7-9 p.m. and on Monday 2-4, 7-9 p.m.
Funeral service was held at St. James Anglican Church on Tuesday, May 10 at 2:00
p.m. with Rev. Hugh Fudge officiating. Interment followed at St. James Anglican

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lawrence Henry Gallant announce
his sudden passing at his residence on May 8, 2005. He was the son of the late
Lloyd Gallant and Dorothy Brake. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories

also predeceased by his mother-in-law and father-in-law Tom and Mary MacIsaac;
brothers-in-law, Tommy Lahey and Tom Gale. Visitation took place on Tuesday and
Wednesday at St. Sylvester Roman Catholic Church, South Branch. Funeral mass
took place on Thursday, May 12, 2005, 2 p.m. at St. Sylvester Church officiated
by Father Lee Lainey. Interment followed at St. Sylvester Roman Catholic Cemetery,
South Branch. Funeral arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port

1919-2005
Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Centre on Monday
May 8, 2005 Leonard Dominic Hynes at the age of 85 years. Born at Codroy Valley
he was the son of the late John A. and Catherine Hynes (nee Downey). He leaves
to mourn his sister, Kathleen Patricia Sheilds of Oregon; and brother, John
Bernard Hynes of Oromocto, NB; and a large number of relatives and friends;
nieces and nephews living in the Codroy Valley and throughout North America.
He was predeceased by his sisters, Eileen Upton, Theresa MacDonald, Mary Stella
Hynes, Mary Dorothy Brown; and brothers, Joseph Gerard Hynes, Michael James
Hynes and Leo Gerard Hynes. Visitation took place at St. Anne's Roman Catholic
Church, Upper Ferry on Tuesday and Wednesday. Funeral mass took place on Thursday,
May 12, 2005, 10 a.m. at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church officiated by Father
Lee Lainey. Interment followed at St. Anne's Roman Catholic Cemetery. Funeral
arrangements in the care of East Haven Funeral Home, Port aux Basques, 695-2300.

HERRIDGE, George E.
Port aux Basques
December 4, 1925 - May 17, 2005
It is with great sadness that the family of the late George E. Herridge announces
his passing at LeGrow Health Center on Tuesday, May 17, 2005 in
his 79th year. Born and raised in Port aux Basques, George was a fisherman
and well known for his fine carpentry. He leaves to mourn with fond and precious
memories his five daughters, Kathleen Campbell (Tom) Massachusetts, Cheryl Lushman
(Gilbert) Nova Scotia, Iris Cooney (Peter) Ontario, Karen Strickland, Port aux
Basques, Stella Anderson (Rick) Port aux Basques; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren;
sisters, Kathleen Gerety, New Hampshire, Valetta Winchester, Massachusetts, Edith
Farrell, Ontario, and Stella Favale, Massachusetts; as well as a large circle
of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. He is predeceased by his parents,
Lilly Ann (nee Crewe) and George Herridge; sister, Evelyn Gouker; brothers, William
Warren, Frank and Ross Herridge. Visitation took place on Wednesday, 7-9 and
Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services was held from Wesley United Church
on Friday, May 20, 2005 at 2 p.m. with Rev. Ritchie and Rev. Fudge officiating.
Internment followed at Wesley United Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were entrusted

CROZIER, (Barrett) Ruth Florence
Passed peacefully away at the Dr. Charles LeGrow Health Center in Port aux Basques,
NL on Tuesday, May 24, 2005, Ruth Florence Crozier age 82 years. She was the
daughter of the late George and Florence (West) Barrett. She was predeceased
by her husband, James Crozier; sister, Ena Giles; brother, Earl Barrett; and
brother-in-law, Hugh Giles. Left to mourn with fond and precious memories are
her children, Sue Osmond, Port aux Basques, NL, George (Donna) Crozier, Aylesford,
NS, and Christopher Duncan (Barbara) Crozier, Kindersley, Saskatchewan. Also
by her six grandchildren, Stephanie Crozier, Aylesford, NS, Curtis Osmond,
Petawawa, ON, Allison Osmond, Halifax, NS, Stacey Crozier, Ottawa, ON, James
Crozier, Kindersley, Saskatchewan and Sean Crozier, Kindersley, Saskatchewan,
as well as by her brother, Murray (Gwen) Barrett, Rawdon, NS, and by a large
circle of relatives and friends. Visitation took place on Thursday, May 26,
2005 at St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Head of Chezzetcook, NS. Funeral service
took place Friday, May 27, 2005 at 2 p.m. from St. Barnabas Anglican Church
in Head of Chezzetcook, NS, with Father Carson Baxter officiating. Internment
to follow in the church cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to East Haven

EVANS, Vera
1919-2005
Passed away peacefully at the Dr. Charles L. LeGrow Health Center on Friday,
May 27, 2005 Vera Evans of Codroy at the age of 86 years. Born in Robinsons,
Newfoundland, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Ida Gillam. She was
predeceased by her husband, Chesley Evans in 1995; and twin sister, Nancy Marsh.
She leaves to mourn with fond and precious memories, her children, Kevin (Diane)
Evans, Prince Edward Island; Ida (Albert) Osmond, Port aux Basques; David (Elizabeth)
Evans, Codroy; and Wayne (Lucy) Evans, Corner Brook; six grandchildren, and five
great-grandchildren; brother, Percy Gale; and sister, Irene Gale (Leaman) all
of Robinsons, and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family, and friends. Visitation
took place on Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29 at Holy Trinity Anglican Church
in Codroy. Funeral service took place on Monday, May 30, 2005 at Holy Trinity
Anglican Church officiated by Rev. Evelyn Smith. Interment followed at the church
