Passed away peacefully on January 5, 2009 at the age
of eighty-four. Beloved husband of Margaret for sixty years. Devoted
father of Susan (Bob), Lorna (Jim), Nancy (Norman), Cathy (Rod), Karen
and Steve (Lori). Cherished grandfather and great grandfather. He will
also be sadly missed by his brothers Maxwell and Charles and his sister

50th Anniversary.
In loving memory of WILLIAM HENRY FLANAGAN August
25, 1886 - December 10, 1958. In loving memory of a dear grandfather, husband
of the late Roseanne Bremner, formerly of Sillery, Que. and son of
the late Mary Jane Flowers, formerly of Signal Hill, Nfld., and the
late George Flanagan, formerly of Stoneham, Que. The world remembered "Harry" as
a gentleman and as a gentle man. I remembered him as a quiet, kind,
generous grandfather. Lovingly remembered, Avril Foster.
KENT, Rosemary

After a long and courageous battle with breast cancer, Rosemary
Kent passed peacefully away on March 24, 2008,
at Rosalind's home in Bareneed, Newfoundland, with her sister Linda by
her side. Predeceased by Nish Kent, her loving husband of 37 years, her
parents Martin and Anne
Hearn, her brothers Mack and Marty Hearn. For the last year of her life,
she was lovingly cared for by her sisters Rosalind, Linda, and Nora who
will miss her youthful spirit and joie de vivre. She leaves to mourn
her brother Jim Hearn (Dot); her sisters Rosalind Crompton (Howard Byrne),
Linda Penney (Derm), Nora Masson (Pete); sisters-in-law Kathy Hearn and
Carol Ann Hearn. She will be especially remembered as the "fun" aunt
by her nieces and nephews: John Hearn (Madison and Chelsea); Jaimie Coombs
(Brad and Will); Scott Hearn; Matthew Penney (Tomoko) and Tim Penney;
Kimberly Robinson (Denis); Ryan, Chris, Sean, Adam, and Annie Masson.
Also remembering her fondly at this time are her in-laws: Ita Dober (Albert),
Evelyn Whitehorne, Tom Kent (Mary), George Kent (Linda) and their families.
Formerly of Bell Island, Rosemary lived in Montreal for more than 45
years and wintered at her home in Naples, Florida, for the past ten.
Besides her family, she leaves to mourn many dear friends in Montreal
and Naples. Cremation has taken place with services to follow in Montreal
and Naples and burial beside her late husband in Hudson, Quebec.

Peacefully passed away in her sleep at the
Villa Mount Royal on October 31, 2008 at the age of seventy years.
Beloved mother of John (Agnes), Cindy (Bob), Norma Jean (Derek) and
Tanya. Cherished grandmother of Patrick, Maureen, Jeremy, Kayla, Rachel,
Michael, Patricia, Jason, Steven, Kimberly and Tommy Jr. Loving sister
of Charlie (Josee), Gerald (Anita) and Clyde all of St. John's, Newfoundland.
Resting at the Blythe Bernier Funeral Home, 940 Ogilvy Avenue, Montreal
(corner Stuart), Park Extension on Saturday, November 8 from 2 to 5
and 7 to 8 p.m. Funeral service in our chapel at 8 p.m. followed by
a legion service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Villa

MACKEY, Dermott

On Friday, December 26, 2008, at Mount Sinai Hospital,
after a long battle with cancer, Dermott passed away peacefully. Survived
by his wife, Ruby Kitts, his 4 brothers, his stepchildren, Bruce, Celina
and Dale, his 3 grandchildren, Sean, Emily and Justin, and many thanks
for the loving support of Arnold and Blema Steinberg and also many
relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held in the spring

Passed away peacefully after a brief illness
at the age of eighty-five on April 26, 2008 at the Royal Victoria Hospital.
Beloved wife of the late Eleazer Pinhorn. Mother of the late Victor.
She will be greatly missed by her son James (Jim) and his wife Marilyn
Mitchell. She will also be greatly missed by Vera Hiscock who was like
a daughter to her as well as family in Newfoundland. Memorial service
will take place at a later date in Winterton, Newfoundland. "Rest
in Peace, Mom" Arrangements entrusted to Kane and Fetterly.
REID, Loyal Linton

We are saddened to announce the death of Loyal
Linton
Reid on September 25, 2008, peacefully at the
Montreal General Hospital. Linton is survived by his loving partner of
30 years, Michel Mason, his four
daughters Robin (Donna), Gillian (James), Lucy (Jay), and Caroline (Tom),
his three grandchildren Andrew, Emma and Felix, and his sister Ann Miller.
Born in St. John's, Newfoundland and a graduate of Sir
George Williams University, he was a member of the financial community
during his career. In
his retirement years Linton was a great source of advice and support
to many
dear friends in the Montreal area. A memorial service celebrating Linton's
life will be held later in the autumn. In lieu of flowers donations may

VERGE, Gregory Enos

It is with great sadness that the family
of Gregory Enos Verge, age fifty-four, of Huntingdon, Quebec and formerly
of Parsons Pond, Newfoundland, announce his passing at Montreal, Quebec,
on January 1, 2008 surrounded by his loving family. Gregory was born
in Hawkes Bay, Newfoundland, the son of Donald and Philomena (Sheppard)
Verge. Gregory grew up in Parsons Pond and as a young man moved to the
Montreal area in the 1970s, working for over thirty years in aircraft
maintenance at Nordair, Canadian Airlines and most recently Air Canada.
He spent many years working in Calgary and Vancouver with Air Canada
before returning back East.
Greg was a devoted husband, father and a
loyal friend to many people. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving
memories, his wife of twenty-six years Carolyn (nee Sherry), at Huntingdon,
Quebec; children, Derek and Shauna; brothers: Gary (Angela) of Parsons
Pond, Jeffrey (Romaine) of Fort McMurray, AB; sister, Darlene (Paul)
Bennett of Riverview, NB; mother-in-law, Beatrice Sherry; brothers-in-law,
Rick Sherry (Lorna) of Huntingdon and Bill Sherry (Cheryl) of Hamilton,
ON, as well as many, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins across
the country. Visitation at the Salon Funeraire Rodrigue Montpetit et
fils Inc., 170 Chateauguay Street, Huntingdon, QC, J0S 1H0, (450-264-5331)
on Friday, January 4, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 8:30 p.m., followed
by a funeral service at 8:30 p.m. Cremation will follow. A memorial
service is being planned for Springtime or early Summer at Parsons
