BUTLER - TILLY - December 25th, at the residence of the brides father, by the Rev. W. SWANN, Captain Zechariah H. BUTLER, Tilt Cove, to Elizabeth, youngest daughter of Mr. Moses TILLY, of Shoal Harbour, Random Sound.

DRYSDALE - McCARTHY - On Wednesday the 8th inst., at St. Patrick's Church, Carbonear, by the Right Rev. H. CARFAGNINI, R. C. Bishop of Harbor Grace, Andrew T. DRYSDALE, Esq., of Harbor Grace, to Maggie, second daughter of John McCARTHY, Esq., Sub-Collector of H. M. Customs, at that port.

RYAN - COADY - On Thursday the 9th inst., at the Cathedral, Harbor Grace, by the Rev. D. FALCONIO, Mr. James RYAN, of Spaniards Bay, to Miss Margaret COADY, of same place. p> HARTE - FAHEY - On Saturday morning last, same place, by the same, Mr. John HARTE, (cooper), to Miss Mary Ann FAHEY, of Riverhead.

DEATHS:

On Thursday evening, 9th inst., Ellen, the beloved wife of Capt. Richard BOLAN, aged 58 years.

On Friday last, after a long illness, Ebenezer BARNES, Esq., aged 52 years.

On Monday, 13th inst., aged 23 years, Thomas, fourth son of Mr. B. CONNORS, of the Orphan Asylum.

McMORRIS - WHEATLEY - At 55, Esplanade, Greenock, on the 3rd instant, by the Rev. Dr. McCULLOCH, Robert James McMORRIS, Esq., Surgeon, R. N., to Mary Louisa, only daughter of William WHEATLEY, Esq., St. John's, Newfoundland.

MELLIS - CHANCEY - On Thursday evening the 30th January, by the Rev. T. HALL, Mr. James O. MELLIS, of Torres, Scotland, to Isabella, fourth daughter of the late L. CHANCEY of this city.

CLARKE - GREENE - On the 29th September last, at the residence of the brides father, Seal Islands, Labrador, by the Rev. G. BISHOP, of Battle Harbor, Mr. William CLARK, Bolter's Rock, to Sarah, youngest daughter of Mr. William GREENE.

ROBERT - BURTON - At the same place, by the same, Mr. William ROBERTS, to Miss Mary Ann BURTON.

JONES - MONTGOMERY - At Putney Church, London, on the 1st January, by the Hon. and Rev. Robert STANLEY, M.A. the rev. W. Taylor JONES, M.A., F. C. P., of Sydenham, to Julia Caroline Henrietta, daughter of the late Lieut. Henry Cole MONTGOMERY, and step daughter of the late John STARK, Esq., Clerk and Registrar of the Northern Circuit Court of Newfoundland.

GORMAN - HAGEN - On the 6th inst., at the residence of the brides father, by the Rev. T. McGRATH, Mr. Dennis GORMAN of Burin, to Mary ELIZA, eldest daughter of Capt. John HAGEN, of the R.M.S. "Tiger".

PARSONS - PITTS - On Thursday last, at the residence of the brides father, by the Rev. C. LADNER, Mr. Albert PARSONS, to Emily PITTS, eldest daughter of Mr. Mark PARSONS, both of Harbor Grace.

DEATHS:

KELLIGREW - At Great St. Lawrence, on the 19th December last, of consumption, Anne, daughter of the late Mr. Edward KELLIGREW, aged 21 years.

ANDREWS - On Monday last, George, son of Mr. William ANDREWS aged 27 years.

BENDELL - On the 31st ult., Elizabeth mary, infant daughter of Jacob BENDELL.

GORMAN - HAGEN - On the 6th inst., at the residence of the brides father, by the Rev. T. McGRATH, Mary Eliza, eldest daughter of Capt. John HAGEN, of steamer "Tiger", to Mr. Dennis GORMAN of Burin.

JERRIT - NUTTALL - At all Saint's Church, Salmon Cove, Brigus, on the 4th inst., by the Rev. Robert H. TAYLOR, assisted by the Rural Dean, Rev. J. C. HARVEY, Mr. J. C. JERRIT, of Exeter, England, to Miriam, youngest daughter of J. C. NUTTALL, Esq., of H. M. Customs, Brigus.

PARKER - FURLONG - On the 18th inst., at the Episcopal Residence, by the Rev. T. McGRATH, Laurence PARKER, Esq., of the firm W. & L. PARKER to Bridget M., daughter of late M. P. FURLONG, both of St. John's.

WALSH - WIGHTON - At the Fort Chapel, Bombay, on the 6th January, by the Rev. Father COOKS, S. J., R. C. Chaplain, E. WIGHTON, Esq., Lieutenant R. A. 13th Brigade, to Anna Rose, youngest daughter of the late William WALSH,of this city.

DEATHS:

MORRIS - At Cuckle's Cove, Trinity bay, on the 24th ult., Capt. James MORRIS, aged 65 years.

PROWSE - On Wednesday morning, 12th February, at manor Park, Lee, Kent, Robert PROWSE, Esq., aged 74 years, forty-six of which he spent in this country.

GILLARD - At Truro, N. S., on Wednesday, the 5th inst., of brain fever, Miss Esther E. GILLARD, in the 20th year of her age.

FLEMING - At Harbor Grace, Riverhead, on the 10th inst., Margaret, the beloved wife of Mr. Richard FLEMING.

CARROLL - At Carbonear on the 9th inst., Mr. Martin CARROLL, a native of Queen's County, Ireland, aged 73 years.

DAE - On Saturday last, Bridget, wife of Mr. Michael DAE.

OLIVER - On Monday evening, after a lingering illness, Mary, the beloved wife of George T. OLIVER, and eldest daughter of the late Mr. John DEVAN, aged 22 years.

FRAZER - In the hospital, Charleston, South Carolina, U.S., on the 20th Nov. of small-pox, William Henry FRAZER, aged 29years, husband of Elizabeth, third daughter of Patrick and Ellen LIDDY, of this city.

HUTCHINGS - On the morning of the 9th current, elizabeth, aged 81, relict of the late Mr. John HUTCHINGS.

SUTHERGREEN - HUTCHINGS - At the house of the brides father, on the 3rd inst., by the Rev. G. G. MILLIGAN, M.A., Captain Wesley Smith SUTHERGREEN, brigt. "Artic" of Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia, to Euphemia Scougal, eldest daughter of Mr. Charles HUTCHINGS.

HANN - WHITEWAY - On Wednesday, 2nd April, at the Wesleyan Parsonage, by the Revd. George G. MILLIGAN, M.A., Mr. John HANN, of Mortons Harbour, to Jessie, eldest daughter of the late Mr. James WHITEWAY of Musgrave Harbour.

NIGHTINGALE - BROWN - On the 3d inst., at the Congregational Church, Waterloo, Liverpool, by the Rev. M. SAINSBURY, John W. NIGHTINGALE, Esq., of Bristol, to Dianna Mary Beator, daughter of Robert BROWN, Esq., Manager of the Commercial Bank of Newfoundland.

WHEELER - On Thursday last, Jane, relict of the late Joseph WHEELER, aged 90 years.

COSTELLO - On the 25th inst., Thomas, youngest son of Mr. John COSTELLO, Ferryland, aged 24 years.
