RYAN, SAMUEL
It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Samuel John Ryan announce his passing at his home in Kings Point on December 11, 2006 at the age of 81. Samuel J. Ryan retired from self employment in the fishery. Predeceased by his parents Edward and Naomi Ryan: brothers Walter and Clarence; sisters, Pearl Foote and Ruby Ryan. Also leaving to mourn brother Chesley (Maisie) as well as a large number of nieces and nephews and friends. Reverend Mildred Tobin conducted the funeral service at the Central Funeral Home on December 14, 2006. Interment was at the Kings Point Interfaith Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clarence Foote, Ted Foote, Bruce Burt, Wayne Snow, Craig Ryan and Don Snow. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Jim Maidment, Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

DECKER, LEAZER LOUIS
Ming's Bight

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Eleazer Louis Decker, age 75, announce his sudden passing at his family residence in Ming's Bight, NL on Monday, December 11, 2006. Predeceased by his daughter - Marion Decker; biological father -David Decker; parents - Gertrude & Stanley Jenkins; sister - Dorothy Regular (Zephlyn). Left with fond and loving memories are his wife - Melvina, Ming's Bight; children - David Decker, Ming's Bight, Ronald Decker (Audean), Ming's Bight, Linda Sampson (Darren), Grand Falls-Windsor, Cyril Decker, Fort McMurray, AB; grandchildren - Melissa Decker, Andrew Decker, Maurice Decker, Jacob Sampson & Rebecca Sampson; brothers - Samuel Decker (Patsy), Lloyd Jenkins (Evelyn), Harvey Jenkins (Rosie); sister - Shirley Regular (Mervin); many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Cecil Young conducted the funeral service at Calvary Pentecostal Church & Cemetery, Ming's Bight, NL on Friday, December 15, 2006. Pallbearers were David Decker, Ronald Decker, Cyril Decker, Darren Sampson, Andrew Decker & Maurice Decker.

ROWSELL, IVY LOVELETT
It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Ivy Lovelett Rowsell announce her passing at the Green Bay Health Care Center in Springdale on December 13, 2006 at the age of 90. Ivy Rowsell was a member of the United Church, the United Church Women, the C.G.I.T. as well as Sunday School Superintendant. Predeceased by husband, Hayward Rowsell. Leaving to mourn brother Lloyd; sister Browen and husband Westley and as well a large circle of family and friends. Rev George Gard and Rev. Barbara Noble conducted the funeral service at the United Church in Beaumont on December 16, 2006. Interment was at the United Cemetery. Pallbearers were Clyde Croucher, Oswell Croucher, Stonewall Croucher, Paul Rideout, Aubrey Burton and Gilbert Burton. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

FORD, JEREMIAH "JERRY"
Fleur de Lys, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Jeremiah "Jerry" Ford, age 81, announce his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre on Sunday, December 17, 2006. Predeceased by his wife - Joan; great-granddaughter - Krysten Froude; parents - John & Bridget Ford; brothers - Charles, John "Jack"; sisters - Beatrice Lewis. Left with fond and loving memories are children - Wayne, Fort McMurray, AB, Sandra Froude (Munden), Fort McMurray, AB, Marlene Fitzgerald (Eric), Coachman's Cove, NL, Junior Ford, Fort McMurray, AB; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; Also leaving to mourn brothers - Clarence (Margurite), Holyrood, NL, Tom, St. John's, NL, Harold, Logan Lake, Paul, Toronto, ON; sister - Mary Ellen Walsh, Toronto, ON; and a large circle of other relatives & friends. Father Tom Duffenais conducted the funeral mass at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church & Cemetery, Fleur De Lys on Thursday, December 21, 2006. Pallbearers were Cornell Lewis, Wish Ford, Terry Fitzgerald, Mick J. Lewis, George Lewis, Kenneth Lewis; and the crossbearer was Tristen Fitzgerald.

GAVIN, EDITH
Seal Cove, NL

It is with great sadness the family of the late Edith Mae Gavin, age 92, announce her passing at North Haven Manor, Lewisporte, NL, on Tuesday, December 19, 2006. Predeceased by her husband - Dennis; son - Melvin; parents - Eli & Annie Rice; parents-in-law - William & Eva Jane Gavin; sister - Hannah; brothers - Heber, George, Stanley, Obediah; son-in-law - Pearce Banks; grandsons - Ford Hollett, Kirk Banks; and great-great-granddaughter - Skye Rice. Left with fond and loving memories are children - Delilah Hollett (Max), Hazel Banks, all of Seal Cove, NL, Ruby Biggin (Lloyd), Sudbury, ON, Fred (Jocelyn), Lewisporte, NL Junior (Agnes), Seal Cove, NL; 15 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; her friends at Baie View Manor; and a large circle of other relatives & friends. Rev. David Russell conducted the funeral service at St. Swithin's Anglican Church & Cemetery, Seal Cove, on Saturday, December 23, 2006. Pallbearers were Gordon Parsons, Eric Robinson, Gary Rideout, Bill Parsons, Alonzo Dyer, & Glen Banks.

PRICE, JOHANNA CATHERINE

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Johanna Catherine Price, age 87, announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte on Friday, December 22, 2006. Predeceased by her husband - Benjamin; parents - John & Lucy Head; foster daughter - Martina Haas; sisters - Angela Clarke, Mary Jones, Anastasia Dobbin, Bridget Alyward, Bernetta Payne; brothers - Michael Head, Lawrence Head, Thomas Head. GARDNER, NOAH JOHN
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Noah John Gardner announces his passing, after a lengthy illness, at Dr. Hugh Twomey Health Centre, on December 22, 2006 at the age of 81 years. Predeceased by his first wife, Marguerite; second wife, Theodosia Jean; and brothers, Lloyd and Edward. Left with fond and loving memories are two brothers, Ben and Reginald; sister, Elizabeth; seven stepdaughters and four stepsons, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Williams Funeral Homes, St. Thomas, Ontario. John will be sadly missed by all of us.

YOUNG, RUBENA PHOEBE
July 23, 1923 - Dec. 24, 2006

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Rubena Phoebe Young announce her passing at the Valley Vista in Springdale on December 24, 2006 at the age of 83. Predeceased by husband, Alex Young; sisters, Flossie Snow, Edith Reardon and Pearl Snow. Left with fond and loving memories are daughters; Elizabeth Wiseman (Reed) of St. Patrick's and Pauline of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn sisters Alma and Delphine; grandchildren, Jamie, Jill, Nathan, Shane, Keith and Erica. Great grandchildren; Parker, Travis, Jessica and Jenna. Majors Gerald and Doreen Lacey conducted the funeral service at the Central Funeral Home on December 27, 2006. Interment was at the Salvation Army cemetery in Springdale. Pallbearers were Jamie Wiseman (grandson), Ronald Ryan, Wayne Wellman, Wayne Burton, Major Lindsay Oxford and Ted Grimes. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

TERRY, ELLEN
July 24, 1929 - Dec 26, 2006

It is with great sadness that the family of the Late Ellen Mary Terry announce her passing at the Health Sciences Center in St. John's on December 26, 2006 at the age of 77. Ellen (Nell) was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish, St. Patrick's, Green Bay. Predeceased by her husband, Leo Terry; parents, Michael and Charlotte Bouzane; three sisters, Irene Skinner, Mary Skinner and Rose Pumphrey; brothers, Walter and Lawrence Bouzane as well as two of her infant children. Left with fond and loving memories are sons, Greg (Mary) of Baie Verte, Jerome (Loretta) of Mt. Pearl, Raymond (Lorraine) of St. John's, Don of Mt. Pearl, Ted (Joan) of Kilbride, Mark (Elizabeth Pittman) of St. John's, Keith (Sandy) of Mt. Pearl and Anthony (Terri-Lynn) of Grand Falls- Windsor; daughters, Frances Broderick (Tom) of Bay de Verde, Shirley Rogers (Lol) of Harbour Grace, Mary Broderick (Bill) of Baie Verte, Rosella Stuckless (Brian) of Lloydminster, Eileen Terry of Baie Verte, Christine Blundon (Everett) of Bay de Verde, Debbie Terry of St. Patrick's and Judy Terry (Colin Walsh) Bay de Verde. Also leaving to mourn brother Patrick of St. Patrick's and sisters, Margaret Armstrong of Little Bay and Frances Colbourne of St. Patrick's. as well as 34 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Father Tom Duffenais conducted the funeral service at the Sacred Heart Parish Church in St. Patrick's on December 29, 2006. Interment was at the Roman Catholic cemetery. Pallbearers were her sons; Greg, Jerome, Raymond, Don, Ted, Keith and Anthony Terry; family spray, son, Mark Terry and cross bearer, grandson, Joseph Terry. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Maude Dormody of Central Funeral Homes.

ROBINSON, NORMAN OBADIAH JAMES
Middle Arm, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Norman Obadiah James Robinson, age 83, announce his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte on Friday, December 29, 2006. Predeceased by his first wife, Elsie Robinson; second wife, Blanche Simms-Robinson; parents, Obadiah and Agnes Robinson; sister, Elizabeth Austin; and brother, Wesley Robinson. Left with fond and loving memories are: children, Boyce (Maisie), Middle Arm, NL, Neville (Ruby), Middle Arm, NL, Agnes Sheppard (Eli), Grand Falls-Windsor, NL, Edward (Joyce), Corner Brook, NL, Rowena Bussey (Charlie), Middle Arm, NL, Sheila Fudge (Koanda), Middle Arm, NL, Daphne Saunders (Wayne), Middle Arm, NL, Exie Robinson, Middle Arm, NL; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn are: sisters, Ida Chipp (Sidney), Middle Arm, NL, Pearl Rowsell (Sandy), Springdale, NL; Frederick Robinson, the Simms family and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Glenn Christophersen conducted the funeral service at Truth Tabernacle and Oceanview Interfaith Cemetery, Middle Arm, NL on Monday, January 1, 2007. Pallbearers were Boyce Robinson, Neville Robinson, Exie Robinson, Wayne Saunders, Robert Robinson and Mark Robinson. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.
