MARTIN, MARY
Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, December 2, 2008, at Lakeside Homes in Gander, formerly of Brent’s Cove, Mary Martin (nee Butler) aged 87 years. Predeceased by her husband William; parents Bridget and Anthony; sisters Elizabeth, Anne, Angela, Theresa, Katherine, Christina, Marie and Florence; brothers John, Michael. Left to mourn and to celebrate her life are her daughters Clo, Presentation Convent St. John’s, Mildred (John Dubourdieu) of Gander, Bridget (John King) of St. Johns, Loretta (Mike McCarthy - deceased) of Marystown, Marian (Brian White) of Gander, Eileen (Eric Lapointe) of Quebec City; sons Mike (Mary) of Whitby, ON, Clarance (Beverly) of Baie Verte, Greg (Margie) of Moncton, NB, David (Karen) of Gander, Felix (Judy) of Gander, Bill (Joy) of Gander, Charles (Helen) of Gander, Neil (Elaine) of St. John’s; thirty one grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and a large circle of nieces and nephews; sisters Clo Maloney of Texas, Margaret (Dave Furey) of Bishop’s Falls; uncle Greg (Agnes) Matthews of Brent’s Cove and aunt Mary Ellen MacIssac of Stephenville. Resting at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander. Visitation was held Wednesday at 7-9 p.m., Thursday 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass on Friday, December 5, 2008 at 11 a.m. from St. Joseph’s Parish Church, Gander. Burial Service and interment took place from St. John the Apostle Church, Brent’s Cove on Saturday, December 6, 2008 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Church Building Fund in Brent’s Cove. Arrangements entrusted through Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander.

WINSOR, SABRINA MINDY
Passed away peacefully at NLRHC Hospital, Fort McMurray, AB after a brief illness, Sabrina Mindy Winsor of Fort McMurray, AB. Predeceased by grandparents, Marjorie and Joshua Winsor and grandmother, Annie Reid. She leaves to mourn parents, Wycliffe and Beverley Winsor; son, Justin (Fort McMurray, AB); sister, Natalie (Dwight) Budden (Lloydminister, AN); brother, Ashley (Melissa) Fort McMurray; nephews, Jayden and Daymien, niece, Kelly (Lloydminister, AB); BBF Anthony as well as a large circle of relatives and friends in Newfoundland and Labrador and Fort McMurray, AB. The funeral service was conducted at Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle, Triton on Sunday, December 7, 2008 with Pastor Jeffrey Elliott officiating. Pallbearers were son, Justin, special friend, Anthony Bailey, brother, Ashley Winsor, uncles Alfred Bridger and Dave Miller and cousin, Oscar Hatcher. Interment was at Triton Evergreen Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by Green Bay Funeral Home.

ROWSELL, DAVID EDWARD
It is with great sadness that the family of the late David Edward Rowsell announce his passing at the Saint John Regional Hospital in New Brunswick on December 6, 2008 at the age of 48. Predeceased by his father - Edward Rowsell. Left with fond and loving memories are his ex-wife - Linda Rowsell and current girlfriend - Verna Ingalls of Grandmanan, New Brunswick, son - Gary of Nicky’s Nose Cove and daughter - Sarah also of Nicky’s Nose Cove. Also leaving to mourn sisters - Lucy and Marion Rowsell, mother - Emma Rowsell, family and friends. Major Henry Bingle conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel in Harry’s Harbour on December 12, 2008. Interment was at the United Cemetery in Jackson’s Cove. Pallbearers were brothers-in-law - Tony King, David King, Dennis Anstey and friends - Craig Toms, Dennis Thomas and Jeff Watts. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

EARLE, LEAH
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Leah Earle announce her passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale on December 11, 2008 at the age of 91. Leah was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church for 53 years. Predeceased by her husband - Stanley Earle and stepson - Otis Earle, infant son - Dennis Earle, son - Eric Rideout and stepson - Harold Rideout. Left with fond and loving memories are her sons - Roy (Janet) of Pacquet, Wade (Faye) of Labrador City, Freeman (Shirley) of St. Lawrence and Melvin (Linda) of St. John’s; daughters - Minnie Saunders (Ron) of Springdale and daughter-in-law - Bonnie Earle of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn sisters - Emily Head of Twillingate, Marie Norman of Baie Verte, brothers - Andrew Sacrey of Springdale, Sidney Sacrey (Phyllis) of Pacquet, Ralph Sacrey (Edna) of Robert’s Arm, as well as 18 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and special niece - Golda (Kelvin) Kelleher of Springdale. Pastor Lindsey Foster conducted the funeral service at the Springdale Pentecostal Church on December 14, 2008. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were Shawn Saunders, Richard and Jonathan Earle, Kelvin Kelleher, Rick Scanlan and Clyde Norman. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

JONES, PRIVATE JUSTIN PETER
Baie Verte, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Private Justin Peter Jones, age 21, announce his tragic passing which occurred while he was on patrol near Kandahar City, Arghandab District, Afghanistan on Sat., Dec. 13, 2008. Left with fond and loving memories are his parents, Anthony and Rowena Jones; girlfriend, Kayla Madsen; her parents, Connie Madsen and Steven Kerr; paternal grandparents, Raymond and Genevieve Jones, Baie Verte, NL; maternal grandparents, Philip and Lillian Verge, Beachside, NL; aunts and uncles, Gerard Jones, Fort McMurray, AB, Mary-Maude Doyle (Eugene), Baie Verte, NL, Tom Jones (Dorothy), St. John’s, NL, Lisa Jones, Fort McMurray, AB, Loretta Jacobs (Harry Newman), Springdale, NL, Pauline Young (Chester), Burlington, NL, Marilyn Shea (Cyril), Fort McMurray, AB, Hedley Verge (Jackie), Tumbler Ridge, BC, Peggy Fowlow (Lorne), Grande Prairie, AB, and Peter Verge (Linda), Fort McMurray, AB; his colleagues at his military unit - 2 Platoon, Golf Company, Second Battalion Royal Canadian Regiment, CFB Gagetown, NB; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Joseph Tebsis conducted the Funeral Mass at St. Pius X Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Baie Verte, NL on Tue., Dec. 23, 2008. Pallbearers were Pte. Betts, Pte. Smith, Cpl. Doucet, Pte. Parsons, Pte. Clarke, Pte. Michaud, Pte. Gillire, and Pte. Cobbett, the insignia bearer was Cpl. Legacy, the headress bearer was Cpl. Boudreau, and the honorary pallbearers were Matthew Ford, Jeff Hennebury, Kyle Payne, and Blair Clarke. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton’s Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

HENSTRIDGE, GWEN
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Gwen Henstridge announce her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor on December 16, 2008 at the age of 65. Gwen was a member of the Pentecostal Church. Gwen retired from Fishery Products International Limited. Predeceased by her father, Roland Fudge and father-in-law, Harry Henstridge. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband, Lloyd; sons, Wilmore Henstridge of Lloydminister, Paul Henstridge (Fern) of Brighton, Darrin Henstridge (Leanne) of Triton and daughter, Faye Pittman (Max) of Pilley’s Island. Also leaving to mourn her mother, Neta Noseworthy; brothers, Ford Fudge (Ida), Melvin Fudge (Geraldine), Calvin Fudge (Loretta), Lawrence Fudge (Maunda), Allister Fudge (Sandra); sisters, Joy Reid (Elwood), Connie Bown (David); mother-in-law, Rowena Henstridge; grandchildren, Corina, Mark, Jennifer, Candice, Aaron, Marsha, Jasmine, Jacinda, Matthew, Zack; great-grandchildren, Ashton and Ethan as well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Pastor Elliott conducted the funeral service at the Maranatha Pentecostal Tabernacle on December 20, 2008. Interment was at the Evergreen Cemetery. Pallbearers were sons, Paul Henstridge, Darrin Henstridge; grandsons, Matthew Pittman and Aaron Henstridge; son-in-law, Max Pittman; and granddaughter, Corina Fudge. Honorary pallbearer was granddaughter, Candice Henstridge. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

DROVER, FREDRICK JOHN
Baie Verte, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Fredrick John Drover, age 73, announce his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre in Baie Verte, NL on Fri., Dec. 19, 2008. Predeceased by his parents, Peter and Grace Drover; brothers, Ron Drover and Ambrose Drover; parents-in-law, James and Elizabeth Philpott; and siblings-in-law, Bert Philpott, Mary Furey, and Bill White. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Stella, Baie Verte, NL; children, Juanita Reeves (David), Baie Verte, NL, Anne Baker, Vancouver, BC, Fred Drover Jr. (Kim), Edmonton, AB, Madonna Drover, Fort McMurray, AB, Don Drover (Judy), Edmonton, AB, Elaine Drover, Toronto, ON, Bud Drover (Paulette), Edmonton, AB, Grace Drover (Peter Koutrou), and Trudy Drover (Bob Bryan), both of Baie Verte, NL, and Greg Drover (Karen), St. John’s, NL; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, James Furey, Mick Drover (Madeline), Alice White, Bridge Bennett (Archie), Tina Grier (Greg), Dave Drover, Rose Collins (Ap), Kevin Drover (Geraldine), Jerry Drover, and Sharon Cross (Gary); and siblings-in-law, Anastasia Philpott, Brose Philpott (Clo), Aiden Philpott (Mariam), and Jim Philpott (Kathleen); many nieces and nephews, and a large circle of other relatives and friends. FUDGE, RONALD
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ronald Fudge announce his passing at the Springdale Hospital on Dec. 23, 2008 at the age of 93. Ronald retired from Goodyear’s Construction. Predeceased by his wife, Ivy and son, Cyril. Left with fond and loving memories are his son, Colin and wife, Freda of Lantz, Nova Scotia. Also leaving to mourn: sisters, Effie Fudge of Brighton, Clara Roberts of Triton, Netta Noseworthy of Brighton, Mamie Rowsell of Embree; brother, Ralph of Lewisporte; grandchildren, Juanita, Angela, Della, Melanie, Morris, Peter, Adam and eight great-grandchildren. Majors Larry and Phyllis Fudge conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel in Triton on Dec. 26, 2008. Interment was at the Brighton cemetery. Pallbearers were, Ford Fudge, Frank Fudge, Willie Bridger, Brian Winsor, Tom Murray and Barry Roberts. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

SHELLEY, GEORGE GERARD
Fleur de Lys, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late George Gerard Shelley, age 58, announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, December 30, 2008. Predeceased by his wife, Josephine Shelley; parents, James and Genevieve Shelley; brother, Dennis Shelley; niece, Robin-Ann Ford; nephew, Shawn Shelley. Pallbearers were Terrance Shelley, Cameron VandeLigt, Anthony Shelley, Brian Barker, Benjamin Shelley and Ronald Barker, and the crossbearer was William Shelley. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton’s Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

COLLINS, GERALDINE MARY
Baie Verte, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Geraldine Mary Collins, age 82, announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte, NL on Wed., Dec. 31, 2008. Predeceased by her husband, Adolphus Collins; parents, Josiah and Naomi Tilley; and brothers, Samuel Tilley, Lewis Tilley, and George Tilley. Left with fond and loving memories are her son, Cecil Collins (Brenda), Baie Verte, NL; granddaughter, Barbara Collins, Baie Verte, NL; brothers, Earl Tilley (Phyllis), London, ON, and Cecil Tilley, Kitchener, ON; sister-in-law, Evelyn Tilley, St. John’s, NL; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Jason Haggstrom conducted the funeral service at St. Paul’s Anglican Church, Baie Verte, NL, on Mon., Jan. 5, 2009. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton’s Funeral Home, Baie Verte.
