It is with great sadness that the family of the late Woodrow James Rideout, age 76, announce his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Center, Baie Verte on Thursday, February 1, 2007. Predeceased by his parents - John & Alma Lora Rideout; son - Bruce; brothers - Eugene & Dillon; 2 infant sisters; brothers-in-law - Joe Dillon, Richard Abbott, Edmond Gillingham, Chesley Rice; sister-in-law - Ethel Gillingham. Left with fond and loving memories are wife - Helen; son - Harry (Charlene); daughter-in-law - Debra; grandchildren - Michelle, John, Jordan, & Brandon; brother - Leonard (Millie); sisters - Evelyn, Mildred (Dawe), Valerie (Peter); sister-in-law - Maud Abbott, Lucy Rideout; brother-in-law - Donald (Gilda); many nieces and nephews and a large circle of other relatives & friends. Rev. Hubert Tucker conducted the funeral service at First United Church & Cemetery, Woodstock, NL, on Sunday, February 4, 2007. Pallbearers were David Rice, John Rideout, Rodney Rice, Herbert Norman, Donald Sacrey & Otis Regular. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

ALYWARD, WILLIAM GERARD
Fleur de Lys, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Gerard Alyward, age 56, announce his passing at his residence, Fleur de Lys on Wednesday, February 7, 2007. Predeceased by his parents, William and Alice Alyward; brother, Basil. Left with fond and loving memories are: daughter, Cambie Curtis (Denis), Sudbury, ON; brothers, Aloysius (Genevieve), Fleur de Lys, Michael (Cathy), Baie Verte, Patrick, David (Gemma), all of Fleur de Lys; sisters, Emeline Barnes (Keith), Stoney Creek, ON, Ann Barrett (Joe), Sparwood, BC, Mary Barrett (Don), Chetwynd, BC, Helen Alyward (Tom), Fleur de Lys, Alice McShane (Delbert), Edmonton, AB, Caroline MacBride (Denny), Springdale, NL; brother-in-law, Jack Alyward, Hamilton, ON; special friend, Lucy Lewis, Fleur de Lys; 19 nieces and nephews; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Eugene Morris conducted the funeral mass at St. Theresa's Roman Catholic Church and Cemetery, Fleur de Lys, on Monday, February 12, 2007. Pal! lbearers were Danny MacBride, Rex Lewis, Clete Lewis, Angus Shea, Rick Walsh, Gary Lewis; and the crossbearer was Helen Alyward. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

CHIPP, JULIA MEATRESS
La Scie, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Julia Meatress Chipp, age 88, announce her passing at the BVPHC, Baie Verte on Thursday, February 8, 2007. Predeceased by: her husband, Chesley Chipp; her parents, George and Fannie Ryan; brothers, William, John, James; sister, Neta Compton. Left with fond and loving memories are her children, Marion Burton (James), La Scie, NL, William Chipp, Flatwaters, NL, daughter-in-law, Mildred Chipp, La Scie, NL; grandchildren, Murray Burton (Michelle), Luann Burton (Keith), Eddie Burton (Linda), Darrell Chipp (Mary-Lou), David Chipp (Charlene); great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Chuck, Candice, Aaron, Tatayna; sister, Marjorie Butt (Maxwell), Springdale; her dear and special friends at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Residential Clare; and a large circle of other relatives and friends. WISEMAN, LILLIAN NELLIE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Lillian Nellie Wiseman announce her passing at the Green Bay Health Centre in Springdale on Thursday, February 8, 2007 at the age of 78. Lillian was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church. Predeceased by: parents, Walter and Helen Roberts of Little Bay Islands. Left with fond and loving memories are: son, Bruce Wiseman (Cavell) of Fort McMurray, Alberta; daughters, Golda (Clarke Norman) of Springdale, NL, Pansy (Brendan Shelley) of Springdale, NL. Also leaving to mourn are three brothers, Joseph, Norman and Parmeous; one sister, Victoria; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Pastor Howard Head conducted the funeral service at Central Funeral Homes in Springdale on February 11, 2007. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery in Springdale. Pallbearers were: Bruce Wiseman, Brendan Shelley, Clarke Norman, Jason Tizzard, Norman Roberts and Parmeous Roberts. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Daisy Evelyn Rideout, age 84, announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte on Saturday, February 10, 2007. Predeceased by her mother - Florence Lush; father - Albert Lush; step-mother - Marina Lush; sister - Ivy Squires (Pleman); infant brother. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband - Rubert; children - Shirley Wheeler (Bill), Cranbrook, BC, Bernice Pardy (Harry), Faro, Yukon, Jerry (Norma-Jean), Sparwood, BC, Dereck (Irene), Slave Lake, AB; grandchildren - Tony (Golda), Paul (Peggy), Bill (Pauline), Niles (Stacey), Blair Wheeler, Cynthia Haggarty (Wayne), Robert Pardy, Jeffery Rideout, Jamie Day, Tory Day, Shane Rideout (Lisa); great-grandchildren - Kimberly & Natasha Wheeler; Ashley, Candace & Billie-Jo Wheeler; Blake & Mitch Wheeler; Jessica & Melissa Wheeler; Caroline Pardy; great-great-grandson - Slater Wheeler; and a large circle of other relatives & friends. Pastors Earl & Lily Batstone conducted the funeral service at Trinity Pentecostal Church & Cemetery, Baie Verte on Tuesday, February 13, 2007. Pallbearers were Jerry Rideout, Shane Rideout, Carl Lush, Douglas Regular, Frank Lush, Frank Sacrey; honorary pallbearer was Harris Moores. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

FUDGE, BEVIN AUGUSTUS (GUS)
June 14, 1952 - February 17, 2007

It is with great sadness the family of the late Gus Fudge announce his passing at his home in High Level, Alberta on Saturday, February 17, 2007. Gus was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Myrtle Fudge of Woodstock, Newfoundland. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Sharon (nee Newman); son, Andrew (Nicole) of Gwacheon, South Korea; daughter, Sarah of Edmonton, Alberta; brother, Murray (Anita) of Gambo, Newfoundland; sisters, Pansy (Leonard) Rice of Whitehorse, Yukon, Claudine (Donald) Randell of Georgetown, Ontario, Sandra Fudge of Baie Verte, Newfoundland, four nieces, two nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Ray Lapka conducted the Celebration of Life Service at the Full Gospel Church, High Level, Alberta on February 22, 2007. Honorary pallbearers were Ernest Packwood, Roland Saunders, Vic Daradick, Michelle Mooney, Wendy Wolfe and Wallace Brown.

FOSTER, HERBERT BASIL
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Herbert Basil Foster announce his passing at the Green Bay Health Care Centre in Springdale on February 22, 2007 at the age of 79. Basil Foster was a member of the Salvation Army. Basil Foster retired from working at a poultry farm. Predeceased by sisters, Blanche, Sadie and Vivian. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife, Mary; son Eugene (Judy) of Clarence, Nova Scotia. Also leaving to mourn grandchildren, Jonathan (Ashley), Jill, Timothy, Elizabeth and Nathanael; great-granddaughter, Monica; sister, Rita; brother, Hedley (Ada); sister-in-law, Phyllis Thomas and Lucy (Bruce Tilley); brother-in-law, Earl Whalen and many nieces and nephews. Captains and Mrs. Joshua Randall conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army in King's Point on Sunday, February 25, 2007. Interment was at the King's Point Community cemetery. Pallbearers were Hedley Foster, Cluney Dawe, Harry Adams, Harold Adams, Alvin Adams and Sherwi! n Lambert. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

OSMOND, SHIRLEY EILEEN
Passed peacefully away on February 24, 2007 at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre, Shirley Osmond at the age of 59 years. Predeceased by her father, E.F. Fowler and son, Stephen. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Ivan; son, Peter of Vancouver, BC; daughter, Susan (Tony) of Forteau, Labrador; mother, Rosalie Fowler; brother, Milton (Irene) and a large circle of other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2007 at 2 p.m. from Memorial United Church with Rev. Howard Crooks officiating. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the CNIB or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Sunset Memorial Funeral Home.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Howard Reuben Rideout announce his passing at Beaumont, NL, on February 26, 2007 at the age of 73 years. Howard Rideout was a member of the United Church. Howard Rideout retired from fishing. Predeceased by parents and his brother, Roy. Left with fond and loving memories are wife, Genevieve; sons, Albert (Olive) of Carbonear, Wilbert (Daphne) of Long Island, Harold (Maud) of Long Island, Alonzo (Gloria) of Long Island, Herman (Menetta) of Long Island, Curtis (Nancy) of Triton; daughters, Dianne (Larry) of Long Island, Lorraine (Herbert) of Long Island, Gladdale (Bruce) of Long Island, Greta Jacobs (Nolan) of Springdale, Brenda Heath (Dennis) of Robert's Arm, Paula Hancock (Bentley) of Keswick, Ontario, Norma Lear (Owen) of Robert's Arm. Also leaving to mourn one sister, Alma Bailey; grandchildren, Michael, Blake, Vanessa, Trevor, Darryl, Jamie, Marcus, Ashley, Jake, Tyler, Morris, Jesse, Dylan, Dakota, Devon, Shera, Jordan, Alexander, Jade, Georgina, Tisha, Amber, and one great-grandchild, Isaac. Reverend Barbara Noble conducted the funeral service at the United Church on March 1, 2007. Interment was at the United Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jake Rideout, Tyler Rowbottom, Jessie Heath, Morris Colbourne, Dylan Jacobs, Trevor Rideout, Michael Rowbottom and Jamie Rideout. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

SEYMOUR, DINAH AMELDA
Baie Verte, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Dinah Amelda Seymour, age 58, announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte on Tuesday, February 27, 2007. Predeceased by her father - Michael; sisters - Cathy Wheeler, Jo-Anne Gould; parents-in-law - John & Elizabeth Seymour; sister-in-law - Marie Seymour. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

PENNEY, WILLIAM FRANKLIN
It is with great sadness that the family of the late William Franklin Penney (Frank) announce his passing at his home in Springdale on February 27, 2007 at the age of 43. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Roxanna; parents, Lily and William Penney; two sons, Darryl Oxford of Springdale and William Penney of Springdale; and one daughter Marie Penney also of Springdale. Also leaving to mourn brother Kevin (Elaine) of Hotboro, Pennsylvania; three sisters, Paula Borok (Bob) of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Louise England (Ken) of St. John's and Judy Clarke (Larry) of Springdale. As well as a large circle of relatives and friends. Rev. Betty Robbins conducted the funeral service at the Grace United Church on March 2, 2007. Interment was at the Salvation Army Cemetery. Pallbearers were Wade Weir, Calvin Inder, Ken England, Mick Thompson, Terrance Oxford, Bruce Oxford and Dave Clarke. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear, Jim Maidment and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

HICKS, HILDA AGNES
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hilda Agnes Hicks announce her passing at her cottage at Vista Place in Springdale on February 28, 2007 at the age of 93. Hilda Hicks was a member of the Springdale Pentecostal Church. Predeceased by husband, Jesse; parents, William and Dora Oxford; brother, Chesley; sisters, Lillian Dawe and Rosalind Keefe; son, Freeman Oxford. Left with fond and loving memories are sons, Norman (Nina) of Springdale; daughters, Ruby (Edward) of Springdale, Audrey (Ross) of Grand Falls-Windsor, Shirley of Scarborough, Marjorie (Marvin) of Springdale and Marilyn (Andrew) of King's Point. Also leaving to mourn: brother, Hubert Oxford (Mary); brother-in-law Malcolm of Grand Falls-Windsor, 25 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Pastor Lindsay Foster and Pastor Howard Head conducted the funeral service at the Springdale Pentecostal Church on March 4, 2007. Interment was at the Pentecostal Cemetery. Pallbearers were her children, Norman, Ruby, Audrey, Shirley, Marjorie and Marilyn. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Ken Goodyear, Jim Maidment and Marilyn Stuckless of Central Funeral Homes.

SPARKES, ISABELLA "BESSIE"
Seal Cove, NL

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Isabella Bessie Sparkes, age 81, announce her passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre, Baie Verte on Wednesday, February 28, 2007. Predeceased by her husband - James; parents - Martin & Maude Pinksen; sisters - Agnes Regular (Manual) & Mabel; brothers - George (Myrtle Kearly), Stewart (Doris Tuck) & Stanley (Edna Osbourne). Left with fond and loving memories are her children - Ethel Bailey, Rockland, ON, Albert Sparkes (Marilyn), Grand Cache, AB, Sheila Sparkes (Benoit Davis), Rockland, ON; grandchildren - Corey Sparkes (Kathy), Craig Sparkes (Annette), Troy Surrett & James Royden "J.R." Surrett; great grandchildren - Daylen & Destiny Sparkes & Sarah Sparkes; brothers - Esau Pinksen (Maude), & James Pinksen (Ethel); a number of nieces and nephews and a large circle of relatives and friends. Pastors Earl & Lily Batstone & Pastor Raymond Mitchell conducted the funeral service at Trinity Pentecostal Church, Baie Verte on Monday, March 5, 2007. Interment followed at Bethel Pentecostal Cemetery, Seal Cove. Pallbearers were grandsons - Corey Sparkes, Craig Sparkes, Troy Surrett & James Surrett; nephews - Manuel Decker & Clifford Pinksen. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Wimbleton's Funeral Home, Baie Verte.
