Ronald retired from self-employment in Port Hope Simpson. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ida A. White announce her passing at the O'Connell Centre on Sunday, February 8, 2009 at the age of 101 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories, her daughters, Veneita (Mabrey) Winsor of Springdale; Bernice (Lewis) Wiseman of Corner Brook; Maisie (Max) Barrow of Deer Lake; three sons, Clarence (Marina) White of London, ON; Eric (Dora) White of Corner Brook; and Woodrow (Rowena) White of London, ON; 20 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and foster brother, Stanley Roberts. She was predeceased by husband, George, infant son, Ross and sister, Pearl Vincent. The funeral service took place from The Salvation Army Citadel, Clarence Street, Corner Brook with Major Frank Johnson officiating.
