SIMMS, ETHEL PEARL (nee Fudge)
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ethel Pearl Simms announce
her passing at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Care Center, Grand Falls-Windsor
on May 3, 2005 at the age of 72. Mrs. Simms was a member of
the Salvation Army Citadel, Triton. Predeceased by parents; Violet and Andrew
Fudge, sons; Otto and Glen. Left with fond and loving memories are husband; Harvey;

daughters, Fronie (Doug) of Halifax, N.S; Shirley(Kevin) of Robert's Arm, NL;

Dianne of Hearts Delight, NL; Also leaving to mourn 3 brothers; 4 sisters; 18
grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and a large circle of friends and relatives.
Major Rex Colbourne conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel,
Triton May 6 2005. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery Triton. Pallbearers
were Corvin Vincent, Derrick Simms, Tony Ward, Austin Simms, Sheldon Simms and
Harvey Fudge.

sadness that the family of the late Blanche Florence Lily Regular announce
her passing at Murray Harbour, PEI on Friday, May 6, 2005 at the age of 67.
Predeceased by biological father Peter Mitchell; biological mother Ida Foster-Mitchell;
step-sister Hilda Grigsby; step-brother Herbert Mitchell; mother-in-law Dorothy

Pastor Cecil Young conducted the funeral service a the Calvery Pentecostal
Church and Cemetery, Ming's Bight on Monday, may 9, 2005. Pallbearers were
grandsons Christopher, Shannon, Raymond, Tyson, Michael and Joshua Regular.
WHALEN, JEANETTE MARIE
It is with great sadness that the family of the late
Jeanette Marie Whalen announce her passing at the CNRHC, Grand Falls-Windsor
on May 11, 2005 at the age of 58. Mrs. Whalen was a member of the Salvation
Army Citadel and the Home League of Pilley's Island. Predeceased by parents
Abraham and Mary Hart and son Kevin. Left with fond and loving memories are
husband Raymond; sons Dennis (Christine), Pilley's Island, Leonard (Joni),
Pilley's Island, Edward (Heather), Pilley's Island and Reginald (Kelly), Triton;
daughters Joyce (Ramsey) and Elizabeth (Calvin both of St. Lewis, Labrador.
Also leaving to mourn five brothers; two sisters; five grandchildren and a
large circle of other relatives and friends. Majors Frank and Jean Johnson
conducted the funeral service at the Salvation Army Citadel and Cemetery, Pilley's
Island on May 16, 2005. Pallbearers were Edward (son), Ramsey (son-in-law),
Gerald (brother-in-law), Paul (Nephew), Todd (Nephew), and David (family friend)
Chappell Hayward George
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Hayward George Chappell announce
his passing at the Valley Vista Seniors Home in Springdale, NL. on May
13, 2005 at the age of 79. Mr. Chappell was a member of the Springdale
Pentecostal Church and he retired as a fire officer with the Federal Department
of Transportation at the Deer Lake Airport. Predeceased by his first wife; Ruth
(nee-Dinney) of Deer Lake. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife; Ivy
(nee-Short) of Springdale; sons, Bruce of Fort McMurray AB, Roy (Wanda) of Deer
Lake, NL; daughters, Orpah (David Normore) of Springdale, NL, Hope (Bill Fleming)
of Plum Point, NL, Karen of St. John's, NL, Judy (Bill Murdoch) of Deer Lake,
NL; Also leaving to mourn sisters, Sadie Cole, Jean Boyd, Nina Lush and Hazel
Gaulton; 7 grandchildren and a large circle of friends and relatives. Pastor
Howard Head conducted the funeral service from the Pentecostal Church, Springdale
on May 16, 2005. Interment was at the Interfaith Cemetery Wights Road, Deer Lake.
Pallbearers were Cyril Goudie, Morris Young, David Young, Ron Peters, William
Paddock and Basil Saunders.

of the late Mary Helen Matthews, age 89, announce her passing
at the BVPHC, Baie Verte on Sunday May 29, 2005. Predeceased by husband William;
parents Joseph and Julia Perry; sons Fred and Garfield; daughters Sarah and
Melvina; grandson Francis Matthews; brothers Eric, George, Allan, Wesley, John
and Henry and sister Lily Jane Starkes. Left with fond and loving memories

all of Burlington; daughters Rita Dove, Burlington, Georgina Freake (Sidney),

Perry's Cove United Cemetery on Wednesday, June 1, 2005. Pallbearers were Nelson
