December 3, 2007

ADEY, Lewis - Passed away at Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Friday, November 23, 2007, Lewis Adey of Clarenville aged 71 years. Predeceased by his father Anderson. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Inez of 43 years; daughter Sherry King (Morley) of Clarenville; grandson Ian of Clarenville; mother Myra Adey of Gander; brother Don (Brenda) of Gander; and a circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Remains rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenvilte. Funeral took place on Monday, November 26, 2007, at the United Church in Clarenville with interment at the Interdenominational Cemetery in Clarenville. In his memory, flowers gratefully accepted or donations to a charity of one's choice.


December 10, 2007

VIGOT, Jean Francois - Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenviile on Sunday, December 2, 2007 Jean Francois Vigot of Musgravetown aged 83 years. Predeceased by brother Jean-Pierre and Jean-Paul. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Ruth of 37 years; daughter Monique Vigot-Schloer (Glenn); brother-in-law Pieman Skiffington (Shirley), brother-in-law Tom (Gaye), sister-in-law Patsy Chaulk (Ron), brother-in-law Grant (Doreen) and sister-in-law Arabella Rowe (Geoffrey); grandson Brady and a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenviile. Funeral service took place at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenviile on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 with cremation to follow. In his memory donations may be made to G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital.

WARREN, Harold - Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, December 5, 2007, Harold Warren of Deep Bight, aged 67 years. Predeceased by brothers George, Eugene and Stan; parents Robert James and Elizabeth; mother-in-law Elizabeth and father-in-law Watson Barnes. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Helen of 48 years; daughter Shawn Rowe, Cambridge, ON; sons Dale (Marg), Stratford, ON and Harold (Brenda), Thunder Bay, ON; sisters Jessie Vaters, Chapel Arm, Sarah Reid, Chapel Arm and Martha Gordon, California; brother Jim (Winnie), Happy Adventure; brothers-in-law Bob Barnes, Clarenville and Pat Barnes (Doris), St. John's; grandchildren Tanya, Bradley, Jennifer and Kyle and a large number of relatives and friends. Visitation took place at Fewer's Funeral Home, Ciarenville. Memorial service held on Saturday, December 8, 2007 from Fewers Funeral Home with interment at Shoal Harbour United Cemetery. In his memory donations can be made to Shoal Harbour United Cemetery Fund.

HOLLOWAY, Victoria - Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, December 6, 2007, Victoria Holloway of Port Blandford, aged 75 years. Predeceased by husband Samuel, daughter Judy; sons Hughie and Dean; twin brother Denis and sister-in-law Brenda Pardy. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his daughter Dianne Chatman (Arthur); sons Donovan (Joanne) and David (Carol Ann); sisters Maude Greening, Barbara Pardy, Bertha Peddle (Keble) and Linda Little (Alonzo); brothers Hughie Pardy (Josephine), James Pardy (Irene), Howard Pardy (Penny), Charles Pardy (Vonnie), Herbert Pardy (Linda), Leo Pardy (Yvonne) and Greg Pardy (Ida); grandchildren Adam, Blake, Holly, Shawna, Shayla and Tanya; great-grandson William and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Alton United Church, Port Blandford. Funeral service held on Sunday, December 9, 2007 from Alton United Churh, Port Blandford with cremation to follow. In her memory, donations may be made to Children's Wish Foundation.

PEDDLE, Rex - Passed away suddenly on December 7, 2007, Rex Peddle, aged 40 years, at Duncan B.C. Leaving to mourn his wife Kelli; one son Jesse; mother Goldie; three sisters; four brothers and a large circle of relatives and friends at Duncan and Clarenville. Funeral service at Duncan , B.C.; Cremation to follow. Memorial service at Clarenville for a later date.

BOWEN, Carl - Passed peacefully away in the presence of family and friends at the Health Science Centre, St. John's on Sunday, December 2, 2007, Carl Bowen of Red Cliffe, age 57 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife and best friend of 32 years, Nell Bowen (nee Leonard), daughter Corinne (Chris Combden), sisters Mary Lou Maloney (Gerard) and Barbara Fry (Gordon), nephew Wade, nieces Renee, Kelly and Jillian. Also a large circle of family and friends, including best buddies Francis Fennell and Donald Connors. Funeral service was held December 7, 2007 at St. Michael's Church, Red Cliffe with interment at St. Michael's Cemetery, Red Cliffe.


December 24, 2007

COLES, Adolph - Passed peacefully away on December 14, 2007, after a brave struggle against cancer, Adolph Coles of Brigus, aged 62 years. Predeceased by father William. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Doris; mother Amy; sons Phillip (Aneeta), Travis and Mark; daughter Janessa; one granddaughter Maya; brothers Austin (Olive), Harold (Anetta), Terry (Judy), Gerald (Diane) and Wade (Rita); sisters Bonnie (Clary), Elizabeth (Barry), Jessie (Justin), Marion (Ed) and Ivy (Ray) and a large number of nieces, nephews and friends. Also leaving to mourn his stepfamily Tony (Diane), Angela (Glenn), Max, Stephen, 12 grandchildren, Effie (Clarence), Ivan (Vera) and their families. Cremation has taken place. Visitation and memorial service held Wednesday, December 19, 2007 from Power's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. In his memory donations may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation.

CARBERRY, Mary Pearl - Passed peacefully away at Harbour Lodge, Carbonear on Tuesday, December 18, 2007, Mary Pearl Carberry of Burgoyne's Cove, aged 85 years. Predeceased by sons Clayton and Lindsay; son-in-law Doug; sisters Kathleen Johnson, Alma Gardner, May Gardner and Monica Efford. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband Alfred James of 65 years; daughters Rebecca (Ralph Froude), Burgoyne's Cove, Viola Ivany, Burgoyne's Cove, Vera Newhook, Amherstburg, ON, Monica (Woodrow Earle), Kenmount, ON, Laura Kelloway, Cambridge, ON, Doris (Francis Loder), Too Good Arm, Marjorie (Steve Coish), Caledon, ON, Karen (Ivan Gill), Courtice, ON and Iris (Denis Carberry), Brampton, ON; sons Melvin (Lavina), Oshawa, ON, Stanley (Betty), Clarenville, Gordon (Mary), Arnold's Cove, Reginald (Glenna), Brampton, ON, Gardner (Nancy), Orangeville, ON and Carl (Susan), Arnold's Cove; daughter-in-law Diane Carberry, Shoal Harbour; sister Jean Adams, Nova Scotia; brothers Reginald (Evelyn), Toronto, ON and Fred (Lillian), Clarenville; brother-in-law Ches Efford, Toronto, ON; 34 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; two great-great­grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville and St. Mary's Anglican Church, Burgoyne's Cove. Funeral service held Saturday, December 22, 2007 from St. Mary's Anglican Church with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Burgoyne's Cove.

BANNISTER, Anita - Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, December 19, 2007, Anita Bannister of Old Bonaventure, aged 83 years. Predeceased by her husband Maxwell, two sons, two daughters, one sister, four brothers and parents Samuel and Fanny Short. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her daughters Marie Cooper, Old Bonaventure, Louie (Lindy Smith), Elliott's Cove, Cecily (Darryl Marsden), Old Bonaventure, Sheila (Pleeman Spurrell), Dunfield and Delphine (Walter Stone), Roberts Arm; son Cecil (Suzanne), Old Bonaventure; sister Millicent Quinton (Jollife), Shoal Harbour; brother Lancelot (Patsy), New Bonaventure; many, many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister-in-law Doris Short, Clarenville; brother-in-law Augustus Pippy, Champney's and a circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Port Rexton. Funeral service held Saturday, December 22, 2007 from St. Peter's Anglican Church, Catalina with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Catalina.

GREEN, Bartlett - It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bartlett Green, age 86, from Hickman's Harbour, at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on December 16, 2007. He leaves to mourn his wife Lydia; children Cordell, Patricia (Dave), Elsie (Wayne), Clemmie (Don), Daphne (Stewart), Beverly (Pearce), Norma (Don) and Bradley (Tracy), 21 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and other family and friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island. The funeral service, officiated by Pastor Carl Earle, took place on December 21st at Bethel Pentecostal Church, Hickman's Harbour, with interment following.
