We regret to announce the peaceful passing of Mary Ellen Butt, age 83, frm Hickman's Harbour at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on January 28, 2012. Predeceased by her husband, Ebe; sons, Kevin, Winston, John; grandson, Jeffery; great grandsons, Justin, Justin, Frederick; parents, Thomas and Emily Lambert; step mother, Moria; sister, Susie; brothers, George, Lester, Naze, and Harvey. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are her children, Audrey (Reg), Gertie (Ford), Tom (Glenda), John (Valda), Max (Beverly), Rowena (Aubrey), Rick (Tina), Fern (Harold), Rod (Denice); daughter-in-law, Sylvia; 29 grandchildren; 41 great grandchildren; sisters, Cecilia, Blanche (Austin); brother, Cecil (Maggie) and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home. The funeral service, officiated by Rev. Vera Abbott, took place on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from the United Church, Hickman's Harbour with interment following.

Gladys Lorraine (nee Osbourne) Hayter

Passed peacefully away at Bonavista Hospital on Wednesday, January 25, 2012, Gladys Lorraine Hayter of Southern Bay, aged 81 years. Predeceased by husband Roy; son Harold; sons-in-law Abe Frye and Cyril Penney. Left with fond and loving memories her children Bob (Lucy), Daphne Penney, Norm (Olive), Gladys Rowsell (John), Edith Frye, Austin (Arlene), Ian (Dale), Wayne (Audrey), George (Beth), Helen Clouter (Aubrey), Carol Gamache (Dan), Alma Barker (Paul) and Joan Trahan (Roger); 34 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; sister Alma Chapman; brother Hubert Osbourne (Ruth); sister-in-law Maisie Osbourne; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Princeton. Funeral service took place on Saturday January 28, 2012 at St. Peter's Anglican Church, Princeton with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Princeton. In her memory donations may be made to St. Peter's Anglican Church, Princeton or the Janeway Hospital.

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Friday, January 27, 2012, Charity Guy of Lethbridge, aged 72 years. Predeceased by brother Allan Holloway; sister Doris Abbott; parents Gordon & Annie Holloway; brother-in-law Cecil Guy. Left with fond and loving memories her husband Ross of 50 years; children Terry (Nancy), Karen Guy and Derrick (Helene); sisters Mona Butt (Joe), Louise Jacobs (Randy Penney), Bessie Ouellett; brothers Herman (Joyce), Glen, Frank (Cindy), Hanuel (Gladys), Barry (Minnie) and Ross (Michelle); grandchildren Brian, Ryan, Cassandra, Tyler, Corey, Cody and Courtney; sisters-in-law Olive Holloway and Roberta Guy; brothers-in-law Lewis Abbott and George (Elsie) Guy; and a large number of relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Monday, January 30, 2012 at United Church, Lethbridge with interment at United Cemetery, Lethbridge.

Lloyd McKinnon Greening
Passed on: January 22nd, 2012

It is with very deep sadness, the family of Lloyd McKinnon Greening announce his passing on Sunday, January 22, 2012 at the age of 62 years. Lloyd was born in Clarenville Newfoundland and moved to Alberta in 1977 where he worked as an Electrician. Lloyd is survived by his mother Sarah, Gander NL; sons Stephen (wife Melissa & daughter Makayla) Morinville, AB., Anthony James (girlfriend Jen) Edmonton AB., and Noah (mother Dana) Edmonton, AB; daughter Kathryn (husband Mike, sons Matthew & Nicholas) Morden, MB; brothers Roy (Debbie) Gander, NL., David (Dianne) Morinville, AB., Lorne (Patti) Fort Saskatchewan, AB. He also leaves behind numerous other relatives and friends. Lloyd was predeceased by his father, James and son Michael. In lieu of floral tributes, donations in memory of Lloyd may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's on Sunday, February 5, 2012, Angelina Ayles of Port Rexton, aged 91 years. Predeceased by her husband Benjamin and children Alex and Gloria. Left with fond and loving memories her daughter Glenda (Cliff Mouland), sons Roy (Helen), Doug (Teresa), Larry (Linda) and Ron (Barbara); grandchildren Debbie, Ian and Connie; great grandchildren Naomi, Kaine, Noah, Allysa, Keileigh and Ciara; brothers Roy and James Price; sisters-in-law Myrtis Chippitt, Emily White, Sally Huges and Peggy Ayles; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Christ Church, Port Rexton. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, February 8, 2012 from Christ Church, Port Rexton with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Port Rexton. Passed peacefully away on Saturday, February 4th, 2012, surrounded by family, Sophie Duffett, age 89 of Lower Lance Cove, Random Island. Predeceased by parents Richard and Eva Ivany; husbands Lester Pittman, Walter Duffett; Brothers Arthur and Lindo Ivany; Sister Louie Smith; Sisters-in-law Ethel Duffett, Dorothy Ivany, Joyce Duffett; Brothers-in-law Willis Duffett, Stuart Duffett, Jim Simmons; Grandsons Bobby Martin and Wayne Strickland. Leaving to mourn: Daughters Elsie Leawood (John), Diane Strickland (James), Theresa Duffett, Rebecca George (Earl), Cynthia Simmons (Clyde), Eva Martin (William), Judy Parrott (Vernon); Son Wayne (Dianne); 27 grandchildren. 48 great-grandchildren. Passed peacefully away at the G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday January 30, 2012 John Eli Brown of Little Harbour in his 87th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are his sister Betty Gilbert, brothers: Frank Brown, Ben Brown, Harry Brown (Shonda), Percy Brown (Alice), Tom Brown (Marie), sister in law Betty Brown all of Little Harbour, neices, nephews plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by step sister Pearl, brothers George and Norman, sister Bertha. Funeral service was officiated by Rev. Moses Tucker from St. Andrews Anglican Church, Little Harbour on Wednesday February 1, 2012 with interment following at Anglican Church Cemetery Little Harbour. Predeceased by her husband, William (1983), grandson, Dylan (2011), mother, Gertie and father, George, brothers, Garfield (Gert), Joshua (Flora), James and Frank, sisters, Millie (Joe) Pelley, Jessie Stanley and Elsie Ivany and brother-in-law Dave Bailey. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Elva; sons Jamie (Jeannie), Shannon (Sarah) and Bobby (Kim); grandchildren AJ, Kaitlyn, Lilly, Logan and Morgan; sisters Rosalie, Alvina, Marie (Watson) and Whilimena (Clayton); brothers Alex (Audrey), Raymond, Kirby (Rodena), David (Glenda), Kater and Bernard (Cathy); and a large circle of relatives and friends. Nora (Keats) Crocker
Born: June 1st, 1918
Passed on: February 13th, 2012

Passed peacefully away at Masonic Park Nursing Home, St. John's at the age of 93. Predeceased by infant daughter Gail, son Roy, first husband Clifford Keats, second husband Robert Crocker, parents John and Sarah Little, 6 brothers and 1 sister. Leaving to mourn her sister Hazel Matthews (Alberta), and nine children, Lorne Keats (Emily), Ella Baldwin (Tony), Bill Keats (Mary), Warren Keats (CarolAnn), Anita Sullivan (Paul), Daisy Rogerson (Tom), Ivan Keats, Bond Keats (Phoebe) and Glen Keats (Shannon), 28 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Special loved ones, Juanita, Irene, Linda, Sue, Bernadette and Janice. Heartfelt thanks to Lily Matthews for her kindness and devotion to Nora. The family also wishes to thank all the nurses and staff of Masonic Park Nursing Home for their care and support. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, and Wednesday February 15, 2012 from 2:00 - 9:00pm with funeral service from the Carnell Memorial Chapel on Thursday February 16 at 2:00pm.
