HANN, Martha
Passed peacefully away after a short illness at the Placentia Health Care Centre on Thursday, July 6, 2000, Martha Hann of Arnold's Cove, formerly of Kingwell and Spencer's Cove in her 86th year. Predeceased by husband Isaac (1991), Daughter Alma (1993) and son Harvey (1999). Leaving to mourn two daughters Dorothy (Albert) and Eva (Ronald), one son George (Sylvia), daughter-in-law Jane, son-in-law Roland, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Arnold's Cove. Funeral was held Monday, July 10, 200, from St. Michael's Anglican Church, Arnold's Cove, with interment at the Interfaith Cemetery, Arnold's Cove. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Interfaith cemetery Fund.

MAHONEY, Michael
Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on Friday July 7, 2000, Michael Mahoney of Gander (formerly of King's Cove) aged 86 years. Predeceased by wife Bertha (1971), son Michael (2000), brother-in-law Wilfred (1962), sister Alice (2000) and brother Patrick (1999). Left with fond and loving memories are sons William (Mary) and Jim of Gander; daughter Mary (Roy Clarke) of Dartmouth, NS; and sister Lucy Sturge of Gander. Also, two grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Funeral service held Monday, July 10, 2000 from R.C. Church, King's Cove. Interment at R.C. Cemetery, King's Cove. Arrangements entrusted to Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander.

JACOBS, Maxwell
Baie Verte

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Maxwell Jacobs announce his passing at the Baie Verte Peninsula Health Centre on Saturday, July, 8, 2000. He was 71 years old. Predeceased by father Samuel and sister Melvie Spurrell. Left with fond and loving memories are wife Mary; sons Wayne Jacobs (Juanita), Baie Verte, Roger Jacobs (Viola), Baie Verte, Chris Jacobs, Toronto, Ontario, Ron McCarthy, St. Anthony; daughter Linda Law (Donald), Trenton, Ontario. Also leaving to mourn mother Annie Jacobs, Clarenville; sisters Marion Foote, Sunnyside, Joyce Jacobs (Lindsay), Pickering, Ontario, Wavie Avery (Clifford), Long Beach; brother Wilson Jacobs (Annie), Clarenville, Stewart Jacobs (Louise), Cecil Jacobs (Alice), Levi Jacobs, all of Little Hearts Ease; nine grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Marilyn Avery conducted the funeral service at Bethany United Church, Baie Verte on Tuesday, July 11, 2000. Interment followed at Bethany United Cemetery, Baie Verte. As an expression of sympathy donations may be made to the NF Cancer Research and Treatment Foundation. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Eddie Wimbleton, White Dove Funeral Home, Baie Verte.

GREGORY, Roderick
Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Sunday, July 23, 2000, Roderick Gregory of Come By Chance, aged 35 years. Predeceased by his father Clement and mother Evelyn. Left with fond and loving memories his sister Peggy Holden of Saskatchewan, brothers Harold Gregory of Winnipeg and Lorne Gregory (Karen) of Come By Chance, grandmother Elizabeth Sarah Chaulk of Elliston. Rested at St. Paul's Anglican United Church, Come By Chance. Funeral service performed by Capt. Violet Chaulk with Interment at the Anglican Cemetery. In his memory a memorial fund to St. Paul's Anglican United Church.

HUMBY, Ambrose
Passed away unexpectedly at the G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital on July 26, 2000, Ambrose Humby of Summerville, aged 78 years. He was a Veteran of World War II having served in the Royal Navy. Until his retirement, he was employed with the Department of Highways. Left to mourn are his son Everett (Susan) Hampton, NB; daughters Jocelyn (Aloysius) Walsh of Plate Cove West and Carol (Al) McGrath of Saint John, NB; brother Reuban (Anna) of Bridgewater, NS; sister Joyce (Cliff) Hewlett of Springdale; two grandsons David and Craig Walsh; two granddaughters Cynthia and Natasha; and two great-grandsons. Also special friend Emily White of Princeton. Interment took place at the Summerville Interdenominational Cemetery with services conducted by Rev. Beth Hayward.

STOYLES, Beatrice
Passed peacefully away at North Haven Manor, Lewisporte on July 26, 2000, Beatrice Stoyles of Hillview, age 91 years, 11 months. Left with fond and loving memories are sons Wilson (Audrey), Gander, Wilbert (Dorothy), Labrador City, Bram (Elaine), Fort McMurray, AB, Reg (Joan), Topsail; daughters Mildred, La Scie, Ruby (Wilson), Noggin Cove; daughter-in-law Edna, Whitby, ON; sixteen grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; also a number of nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by husband William, 1983 and son Ches, 1977. Funeral service held Saturday, July 29, 2000 at Grace United Church, Hillview with Rev. Pamela Jones-Fitzgerald officiating. Interment followed at United Church Cemetery, Hillview. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Woolfrey's Funeral Home, Lewisporte.

MARCH, Victoria
Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre on Saturday, July 29, 2000 Victoria March of Lady Cove, aged 85 years. Left with fond and loving memories are her husband Hayward; daughter Mable Antle (Eric); sons Wayne (Norma) and Randy; 5 grandchildren Geoff (Dee), Jon, Vicki and Jackie (fiancée Gerard) Antle and Bradley March; two great-grandchildren Robbie and Stephanie Antle; three sisters Cecilia Burt, Ivy Bugden and Edith Bray. Also a large circle of nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral service held at Lady Cove United Church Monday, July 31, 2000 with internment at Lady Cove Cemetery.
