INGRAM, JUSTIN - Passed away as the result of a tragic boating accident on Saturday, May 24, 2008, Justin Ingram of Clarenville, aged 27 years. Predeceased by sister, Jennifer; grandfathers, Victor Ingram and Andrew Blundon. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his parents, David and Marie Ingram; brother, David, sister, Emily; grandmothers, Hazel Ingram and Gladys Blundon; uncle Paul Ingram (Susan); aunts Lila Blundon (Cam), Joanne Toope (Johnny), all of Clarenville; cousins, Sarah, John, Jessica, Krista and Courtney and a large circle of family and friends. HOBBS, Liol - Passed peacefully away at his home on Thursday, May 29, 2008, Liol Hobbs of Bunyan's Cove, aged 87 years. Predeceased by his first wife, Mary Anne. CLENCH, Alexander - Passed peacefully away at Shirley's Haven, Catalina on Thursday, May 29, 2008, Alexander Clench of Shoal Harbour, aged 89 years. Predeceased by brother, Raymond Clench and grandson, Mark Marshall. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife, Ruby of 63 years; daughters, Jessie Marshall, Sheila Strong and Audra Strong (Leonard); sons, Austin (Peggy) and Walwyn; sister, Florence Tuck (Baxter); brother, Edward (Phyllis); grandchildren, Christopher, Kirby, Jeffery, Angel, John, Jennifer, Samantha, Ryan and Mark (deceased) and a large circle of family and friends. MANUEL, Marilyn (nee Kurceba)
1953-2008
- The family of Marilyn Ann Manuel announces with great sadness the passing of their wonderful wife, mother, daughter, and sister at the Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Friday, May 23, 2008, after a two-year battle with cancer. She will be forever remembered and loved by her husband, Graham; son, Shannon; daughter, Amelia, as well as her father, Alex Kurceba; sister, Michele Darragh (Kerry); brother, Sandy Kurceba (Maura) and nieces, Jaclyn and Kelsey, all of Winnipeg. She is predeceased by her mother, Joyce (April 25, 2008); sister-in-law, Margaret Kurceba; cousin, Kelly Millar and sister-in-law, Faith Matchem, Marilyn had a wide circle of family and friends in both Winnipeg and her adopted home of Newfoundland where she had lived for the past 25 years. Marilyn was a long time employee of the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville. Instrumental in helping her deal with the many trying times but also sharing in a lot of laughter are her nephew and niece Dave and Bonnie Matchem and their children, Sam and Hope. Despite facing a difficult and challenging illness, she approached every day with a relentless vitality and an irrepressible sense of humor - a true inspiration. She will be greatly missed. Cremation has taken place as she requested. Visitation took place at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Memorial Service held Tuesday, May 27, 2008 from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Clarenville with inurnment at the Interdenominational Cemetery, Clarenville. Flowers gratefully declined. Donations in Marilyn's memory may be made to the Dr. G.B Cross Memorial Hospital Foundation.

LETHBRIDGE, Artillus (Ted) - Passed away suddenly at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville in the presence of his family and friends, Ted Lethbridge of Clarenville, aged 63 years. Predeceased by father, Fred; mother, Bessie; brothers, Boyd and Calvin; father-in-law, Harvey Elliott; sister-in-law, Doreen Short and brother-in-law, Edward Smith. Leaving to mourn his caring wife, Yvonne of 42 years; mother-in-law, Emma Elliott; son, Paul (Ann); daughters, Sharron (Jeff) and Joanne (Philip); grandchildren, Victoria and Jonathan; brothers, Walter (Janet), Wayne (Margaret); sisters, Myrtle (Ray), Ivy and Cindy (Frank); sister-in-law, Nellie; brother-in-law, Oliver Short; along with a large circle of relatives and close friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service held on Friday, June 6, 2008 at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Clarenville with inter­ment at Pleasant Street Cemetery, Clarenville. Special thanks to the staff of Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital for helping Ted in his final moments.

HART - June Hart of Bonavista, NL, passed away suddenly on June 2, 2008 while vacationing in Denver, Colorado. Born January 7, 1947, June grew up and lived most of her life in Bonavista. After living in Toronto for a short time, June moved back to St. John's, Newfoundland but then returned to Bonavista where she continued the family business, J's Mini Mart. She spent her spare time dedicating herself to her family and friends or lending a helping hand to whomever needed it. Her compassion, kindness and continuous smile will be remembered most by those who knew her. Predeceased by her son, Jody; father, Eric Mouland; sister, Glendene and infant brother. Left with fond and loving memories are her son, Jamie (Crystal); mother, Stella Mouland; sister, Merve Snook (Ben); nieces Sharon Snook (Craig) and Glendene Snook (Leong); nephew Eric Snook (Connie); all the members of the Mouland and Hart Families and many close friends. The memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, June 18th at the Memorial United Church with Reverend Tony Cole officiating. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Strathies Funeral Home, Bonavista. MATCHEM, Judy - Passed away suddenly at Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, June 11, 2008, Judy Matchem of Bloomfield, aged 37 years. Predeceased by mother-in-law, Shirley Wiseman; grandparents, Phyllis and Samuel Hancock and Willis and Veita Matchem; cousin, Veita Matchem. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her husband, Rod of 23 years; daughter, Kayla; parents, Alex and Louise Matchem; father-in-law, Austin Wiseman; sisters, Sharlene Matchem and Kendra Matchem (Jamie Stanley); brothers, Shawn and Jason; sister-in-law Debbie Burt; nieces and nephews Trinda (Noah), Trent (Sherry), Troy (Melissa), Tori, Shawna, Teeanna, Tinikka, Danielle and Greg; great-nephew, AJ and companion Molly and a large circle of relatives and friends. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons, Edward, (Rosalind), of Sunnyside, and Peter, (Anne), of Ottawa; grandchildren; Josh, Ashley, Heather and Charlie; sisters, Ina (Alf Sharpe), of Mount Pearl, and Geraldine Pennell, of Carmanville. Predeceased by infant daughter and husband, Albert; sister, Bessie and brothers, Bram, Joe and Lloyd. Rested at St. Andrew's Anglican Chruch, Sunnyside and Stacey's Funeral Home, Carmanville. Rested at the Salvation Army Ditadel, Clarenville, from where the funeral service, officiated by Majors Fred and Gloria Pond took place on Thursday June 19, 2008 with interment following at the Pleasant St. Cemetery. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

O'Neill (Easton), Donna Feme age 46 Passed away at her home in Lantz, N.S. May 27th , 2008 Donna Feme O'Neill (Easton) age 46 yrs, following a courageous battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Donna was born in Clarenville, NL, the youngest daughter of the late William and Ruby Easton (Frampton) and later moved to St. John's with the family in 1966. Left to cherish her memories are her husband and best friend Harry, daughter Krista, son Christopher, her canine companion, Riley, who was constantly by her side, and bunny, Lucy. Sisters Mildred Holloway (Clarence) Missisauga, Beverley Manuel (Roy) St. John's, Shirley Easton Hamilton, Rosalyn Easton Calgary, and a best buddy, her only brother Ron (Mt. Pearl). Her in-laws Doug and Dorothy O'Neill, Enfield, N.S., formerly of Penneywell Rd., St. John's, NL, brothers-in-law Paul (Calgary) Doug (Calgary). Sister in-law Sherry Hart (John) Whitecourt. Also left to mourn, many nieces, nephews, the Easton and Bagg families of Clarenville and her school friend.Yjley Kieley (Goulds). Cremation took place May 28th , 2008. A Memorial service was held at Riverview United Church, Elmsdale, N.S. June 3rd , 2008 followed by a reception to cele­brate her life at the Royal Canadian Legion Elmsdale, N.S. Donations in a her memory can be made to a Cancer Charity of ones choice.

Predeceased by husband Clarence and parents John and Eliza Strong, brother James and sister Hazel. Leaving to mourn, son John (Susan), daughter Janice (late Bruce Murphy), grandchildren, James, Sean (Anna) great-granchild Ivy. Sisters: Rhoda (Ron Bartlett), Hamilton, Ont., Jean (Late Ralph Burden), Clarenville, NL, Phyllis (Obe Burt), Stephenville.NL, Evangeline (Earl Snelgrove) St John's, NL, Gerry (Richard Dionne), Gander, NL. Nieces and nephews in Newfoundland, especially Linda, Clarenville, NL. Special friends Kim and Darrell of Greenspond, NL. A memorial service was held at Christ Church in Flamborough, Ont. Predeceased by first husband, Frank W. Brown in 1994 and second husband, Leroy Peddle in 2007. Leaving to mourn son, Allen Brown (Charlotte); daughters, Denise (Ingham Blundell) and Dildre (Hubert Lodge); daughter-in-law, Ada Brown; eight grand­children; seven great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends.
