LAMBERT, Ethel M. - Passed peacefully away at Golden Heights Manor, Bonavista on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, Ethel M. Lambert of Southport, aged 90 years. Predeceased by husband, Henry; sister, Margaret and brother, Clarence. Left with fond and loving memories her daughter, Nina (Hayward Avery), Southport; sons, Clarence (Pearl), Brampton, ON, Samuel (Sharlene), Southport, Hector (Millicent), Whitecourt, AB and Stephen (Mary), Southport; sisters-in-law, Rachel Lambert, Lillian Lambert and Emma Lambert; brother-in-law, Wilson Lambert (Miriam); 19 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren;,, five great-great-grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Little Heart's Ease. Funeral service took place on Friday, May 29, 2009 from Anglican Church, Gooseberry Cove with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Gooseberry Cove.

GREENING, Lewis - Passed peacefully away at Golden-Heights Manor, Bonavista on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, Lewis Greening of Musgravetown, aged 81 years. Predeceased by wife, Annie and five sons. Left with fond and loving memories his sisters, Mavis Ivany, Bloomfield, Dorothy Ivany, Musgravetown and Shirley Keats (Larry), Bunyan's Cove; brothers, Adolphus Greening, Jamestown, Frank Greening, -Musgravetown, Albert Greening (Linda), Musgravetown and Harvey Greening (Leona), Musgravetown and a large circle of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral M Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Friday, May 29, 2009 from Salvation Army Citadel, Musgravetown with interment at Salvation Army Cemetery, Musgravetown. In his memory donations may be made to the Salvation Army Building Fund, Musgravetown.

GOSSE, Frederick - Passed peacefully away at the Mi1ler Centre, St. John's on Thursday May 28, 2009, Fred Gosse of Clarenville, aged 78 years. Predeceased by parents, Jar and Alice Gosse; brother, Douglas and sisters-in-law, Mari Gosse and Hattie Gosse; brother-in-law, Llewellyn Warren. Left with fond and loving memories his wife, Phyllis; daughter, Lorraine Laite (Gordon); son, Ivan (Jean); sister, Isabel Warren; brothers, Kenneth, Robert, Don (Stella) and Ernest (Joyce); grandchildren, Kerri Parrott (Ronnie), Brian Laite and Cindy-Lee Ellis (Ian); great-grandchildren, Kelly Parrott, Sherida Parrott and Ashton Ellis and a large number of relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Fune ai service took place on Saturday, May 30, 2009 from St. Mary's Anglican Church, Clarenville with interment at Clarenvilie Interdenominational Cemetery.

DIONNE, Geraldine (Gerry) - Passed peacefully away at the James Paton, Memorial Hospital, Gander, on May 24, 2009, Geraldine (Gerry) Dionne, age 66 years. Predeceased by parents, John and Eliza Strong; sisters, Ethel Carter, Hazel Jarrell and brother, James Strong. Left with loving memories are her husband Richard Dionne; John (Sara) of Tampa Fl, Kristy (Kenny) Yorston of Holderness, NH; sisters, Evangeline (Earl) Snelgrove of St. John's, Jean Burden of Clarenville, Phyllis (Obadiah) Burt of Stephenville, Rhoda (Ronald) Bartlett of Hamilton, ON; grandchildren, Charlie and Jack Dionne, Kacey Yorston; also a large circle of relatives and friends. Rested at Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Memorial service was Wednesday, May 27 at 2 p.m. from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, Gander. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gerry's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society Daffodil Place.
Gerry was a devoted daughter, a beloved sister, a caring nurse, a loving wife and mother, a doting grandmother, faithful friend. Her arms and her kitchen were always open, her selfless heart ever expanding with love. Ne'er a more smitten and adoring Nan did exist. Her passing leaves a chasm in the hearts and lives of all who loved her, who shared her laughter and her life a void that can only be filled with treasured memories of a life so lovingly lived. For all the love, the laughter, the care and the joy, we thank you, Nan. We will miss you.

WILFRED RAYMOND DIAMOND
MAY 27,1950 - JUNE 2, 2009

Passed suddenly away at his residence on Tuesday June 2, 2009 Wilfred Raymond Diamond of Lethbridge in his 59th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories son, Dwayne of Edmonton, AB; mother, Violet Diamond of Lethbridge; sisters, Winnifred Pike of Portland, Fern Simmonds (Maurice) of Portland; brother, Dennis Diamond of Lethbridge; friend, Sarah; five nephews and four nieces plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by father, Watson; brother, William (Bill) and brother-in-law, Clyde Pike. Funeral service was officiated by Rev. S. Rodgers on Saturday June 6, 2009 from Memorial United Church, Lethbridge with interment following at United Cemetery Lethbridge. Pallbearers were Kerry Diamond, Andrew Diamond, Austin Diamond, Maurice Simmonds, Garfield Holloway and Derrick Holloway. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Diamond family.

WALTERS, Bernard Hagedorm - We regret to announce the peaceful passing of Bernard Hagedorm Walters, age 72, from Shoal Harbour, formerly from Petley, Random Island, at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville, on May 30, 2009. Predeceased by parents William and Deliah, brother, James, grandson, Harold Whiffen and good friend, Verlie Wiseman. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories are his children and grandchildren, Barry (Gail), children, Jordon and Nicholas, Dana (Harold Whiffen), children, Brandon and Noah, sisters, Viola (Ralph Brown), Daphne (Rev. Roy Martin) and many other relatives and friends. Rested at Vardy's Funeral Home. Funeral service, officiated by Rev. BARRETT, Mabel - Passed peacefully away at Lakeside Homes, Gander on Wednesday, June 3, 2009, Mabel Belle Barrett of Harcourt, aged 89 years. Predeceased by husband George and son Vernon. Left with fond and loving memories her daughter Miriam (Bob), Lorraine (John) and Sharon (Elvis); son Lindo (Bernice); seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Bethany United Church, Harcourt. Funeral service took place on Saturday, June 6, 2009 from the Bethany United Church, Harcourt with interment at United Cemetery, Harcourt.

HOWSE, Gordon W. - Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Saturday, June 13, 2009, Gordon W. Howse of Bloomfield, aged 84 years. Predeceased by parents George and Elsie Howse; two sons Robert and Barry; sister-in-law Lorraine Howse. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Florence of 64 years; daughters Lorraine LeBlanc (Jim), Maisie Stringer (Oliver); son Lehman (Thelma); daughter-in-law Frances Holloway (Harve); sister Minnie Oldford (Gus); brother Harold; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service was held on Tuesday, June 16, 2009 at 2 p.m. from the Salvation Army Citadel, Musgravetown with interment at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Musgravetown.

Predeceased by parents, Thomas and Annie Maude George, two brothers, one sister, his wife, Deborah and granddaughter, Sonya. Violet Amelia Brown
August 3, 1923 - June 7, 2009

Passed peacefully away at the Albert O'Mahony Manor on Sunday June 7, 2009 Violet Amelia Brown of Bunyan's Cove in her 85th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: husband John; sons: Ted and wife Maggie of East Port, Edgar and wife Kathy of Edmonton, Roger and wife Barb of Edmonton, Heman and wife Jeanette of Bonavista, and Lawrence and girlfriend Marie of St. John's; daughters: Audrey Brown and Ken Mclver of Edmonton, Madeline McGarry and husband Mike of Ottawa and Susie McCallum of Ottawa; 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by brothers: Ted and Joe; sister Clara; son-in-law John McCallum. Funeral service was officiated by Pastor Chad Harnum from Ecclesia Pentecostal Church, Bunyan's Cove on Thursday June 11, 2009 with interment following at the Pentecostal Cemetery in Bunyan's Cove. Pallbearers were: Edgar Brown, Tony Greening, Bruce Brown, Fraser Sawyer, Sterling Hobbs and Calvin Reid. SPURRELL, Marjorie - Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Sunday, June 14, 2009, Marjorie Spurrell of Dunfield, aged 73 years. Predeceased by first husband William James Clarke. Left with fond and loving memories her husband William James Spurrell; sons Arthur Clarke (Elsie), Glenn Clarke (Rosalind), Sterling Clarke (Rhonda) and William Clarke (Sharon); sister Ena Spurrell (Moses); brother Sterling Ivany (Violet); sister-in-law Eileen Number (John); seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Memorial service took place on Friday, June 19, 2009 from United Church, Dunfield with interment at Anglican Cemetery, Trinity.
