CURRIE, Ena
Passed peacefully away at Health Sciences Complex, St. John's on Sunday, April 27, 2003, Ena F. Currie (Strong) of Clarenville, aged 52 years. Leaving to mourn her husband, Maxwell; special cousin, Cavelle Stanley; mother-in-law, Vida Currie; two brothers-in-law;three sisters-in-law; 12 nieces and nephews and many. friends and relatives. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville from where the funeral took place on Wednesday April 30, 2003 with interment at United Church Cemetery, Clarenville.

ABBOTT, Roy Clayton
Passed peacefully away at the Dr G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, April 30, 2003, Roy C. Abbott, Arnold's Cove, in his 82nd year. Predeceased by brothers, Ron, Wilson, and Calvin; sisters, Mildred, Bernice and Marjorie; mother, Lillian and father, Clem. Leaving to mourn his wife, Elaine (Ryder); brothers-in-law, Oscar and Eugene Ryder (Jessie); sister-in-­law, Marina Abbott and a number of nieces nephews, Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Arnold’s Cove.Funeral service held on Saturday, May 3, 2003 from United Church, Arnold's Cove. Donations in his memory may be made to Children's Wish Foundation.

DOOLEY, Cyril
Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memonal Hospital in Clarenville on April 21, 2003, Cyril Dooley, age 75, from Sweet Bay. Predeceased by his wife, Margaret. Leaving to mourn with many fond memories are his children, Paul (Carol Ann), Jackie (Larry Yetman), Ann Marie (Dave Casey) and Jim (Paula); grandchildren, Kailey, Nicole, Maggie, BJ, Stephanie, Mark, Evan, Rebecca and Ava. Also his faithful companion, Spade along with many other relatives and friends. Rested at the Roman Catholic Church, Sweet Bay from where the funeral took place on Saturday, April 26, 2003. Interment followed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

Passed away at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Friday, April 25, 2003, Annie P. (Prissie) Marsh of Clarenville, aged 76 years. Predeceased by her parents, William and Miriam Martin and brother, William Martin. Leaving to mourn her husband, Philip of 56 years; daughters, Donna (Chesley Smith), Deep Bight, Doris (Tom Spurrell), Little Hearts Ease, Trudy (Terry Martin), Little Hearts Ease and Christine Marsh, Mississauga, ON; sons, Alwyn (Dallas), Little Hearts Ease and Peter (Palma), Clarenville; sister, Winnie (Geoff Heather), Wasaga Beach, ON; brothers, George Martin (Loretta), Little Hearts Ease, Samuel Martin (Laura), Little Hearts Ease, Eric Martin (Jean), Little Hearts Ease and Roy Martin (Pauline), Alliston, ON; sister-in-law, Addie Martin, Clarenville; grandchildren, Tammy, Todd, Tim, Trevor, Trent, Lesley, Jeremy, Robyn, Preston, Katherina, Robert, Adam, Katrina, Nathan, Thomas, David and Kayla; great-grandchildren, Kristen, Chelsea, Julianna, Matthew, Jordan, Allisin, Sarah and Brandon; and a large number of nieces, nephews, family and friends. Rested at Fewer’s Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service held on Monday April 28, 2003 from Memorial United Church, Clarenville with interment at the United Church Cemetery, Clarenville. Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. Prissie was an active member of the Clarenville UCW, New Horizons Seniors Club, Clarenville Lions Club, Cormac Rebekah Lodge #130 and Blue Mist LOBA Lodge #138.

KEATS, Cecil
(Age 82 years, 5 months)

Passed peacefully away at Golden Heights Manor, Bonavista on April 18, 2003, Cecil, a longtime employee of the Canadian National Telegraph (CNT). Left to mourn wife, Olive of 55 years; four sons, Marvin (Shirley) at Bonavista, Boyd (Sandra) at Charlottetown, PEI, Hayward (Blanche) at Newman's Cove and Paul at Newman's Cove; four grandchildren, Tina (Brian), Barbara (Dennis), Jeanette (Jason) and Tracy; four great­grandchildren; sisters, Millie (Lloyd), Rita (Frank) and Verna; brother, Raymond (Sadie); and a large circle of friends. Funeral services held at United Church, Newman's Cove, by Rev. Chris Andrews. At this time we gratefully acknowledge all expressions of sympathy through cards, flowers, phone calls, monetary gifts, gifts of food and visits. Your kindness and thoughifulness will be long remembered.

FURLONG, JAMES LEO
James Furlong
age 60, from Plate Cove, passed peacefully away on May 2, 2003, at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville. Predeceased by his parents, Patrick and Genevieve; and brother, Anthony. Leaving to mourn with many fond and loving memories his wife, Carol; children, Linda (Blaine Preston), Calvin (Sandra) and Cyril (Kim); grandchildren, Tony, Brandon, Taylor and Nichelle; brother, Edward (Regina); sisters, Bernice Furlong and Johanna (Herbert Keough); and many other relatives and friends. Rested at St. Patrick's Parish, Plate Cove from where the funeral took place on Monday, May 5, 2003. Interment fol­lowed. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

It is with great sadness the family of the late Violet May Frye, age 79, announce her sudden passing at her home in Summerville on Sunday, May 11, 2003. Predeceased by her husband, Joseph; and son, Danny. She leaves to mourn her daughters, Marilyn (Job Abbott), Judy (Ray Madore), Sylvia (Phonse Walsh) and Christine; brothers, Gideon Parsons (Olive) and William Parsons (Jean); sister, Nellie Parsons; grandchildren, Melissa, Steven, Robert, Jamie, Amanda, Stephanie, Stacy and Lauren; four great-grandchildren; plus many other relatives and friends. Rested at the St. Mark's Anglican Church in Summerville from where the funeral took place on Wednesday, May 14, 2003 with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.

BLACKMORE, Dougald
Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G. B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Wednesday, May 14, 2003. Dougald Blackmore of Deep Bight, formerly of Clarenville, in his 68th year. Left with fond and loving memories his children, Roxane Bailey (Christopher), Clarenville and Tony, Calgary, AB and their mother, Ruby Rich; also Ray Stevenson, Deep Bight; poppy's little sweets Rebecca, Daniel and Kennedy; sisters, Ruby Stone, Moncton, NB and Eleanor Prieser (Hank), Deland, Florida; brother, Walter, Clarenville; and a large number of relatives and friends. A memorial service was held on Friday, May 16, 2003 at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. In his memory donations may be made to the Clarenville Area SPCA.

Passed suddenly away at the Health Science Complex, St. John's on May 13, 2003, at the age of 82, Harvey Hogarth from Trinity East. Leaving to mourn his loving wife, Shirley; children, Perry (Carol Ann), Richard (Renee), Cynthia (Dion Kendall), Victoria and Tracey Lynn; grandchildren, Tyler, Hudson, Daniel, Katelyn and Brianna; sister, Barbara (Mansfield Piercey) and niany other relatives and friends. Rested at St. Andrews Anglican Church, Trinity East from where he funeral took place on May 16, 2003 with interment following. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Vardy's Funeral Home, Random Island.
