Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, Maxwell Clouter of Port Blandford, aged 81 years. Predeceased by parents Lewis and Eliza; sisters Lily Hoskins, Emeline Oldford and Veneta Anstey; brother Ernest. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Nellie of 60 years; children Melvin (Darlene) and Maureen (Jim); grandchildren Melanie (George), Jeanine (Matthew), Kayla (Adam), Megan (Sheldon), Nicholas and Jillian; great grandsons Reed, Hudson, Luke, Charlie and Nash; sister Edith Matthews (Sid); brother Gerald (Marg); sister-in-law Joyce; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Alton United Church, Port Blandford. Funeral service took place on Saturday, November 4, 2017 at Alton United Church, Port Blandford with interment at United Cemetery, Port Blandford. In his memory donations may be made to Alton United Church, Port Blandford or Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital.

HOWSE, Everett

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Monday, November 20, 2017, Everett Howse of Bloomfield, aged 85 years. Predeceased by parents Fredrick and Beatrice Howse, brother Charles, brothers-in-law Carson, James and Clyde King. Left with fond and loving memories his wife Goldie of 62 years; children Garry (Sheila), Glenda (Bill), Pauline (Gerald); seven grandchildren Dana (Darren), Corey, Kayla (Cory), Teri-Lynn (Justin), Mandy (Brad), Patrick, Matthew; four great grandchildren Daniel, Devin, Mackenzie, Madelyn; sisters, Rowena, Dora; brothers Norman (Leah), Wallace (Sherry); sisters-in-law, Rosalie (Bill), Katie (Ivan); brothers-in-law, Robert (Valerie), Eric (Marie); and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Lethbridge. Funeral service took place on Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at the Salvation Army Citadel, Musgravetown with interment at Salvation Army Cemetery, Musgravetown.

KEOUGH, Miriam
Passed on: November 21st, 2017

Passed peacefully away at the Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital in Clarenville on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 Miriam Keough of Plate Cove East, aged 78 years. Predeceased by her husband John Thomas Keough and daughter Roberta Duffett. Left with fond and loving memories her children Paul (Colleen), Kenneth (Vicki); son in law Jerry Duffett; 8 grandchildren Brent Keough, Fabian Keough, Breanna Keough, Cobie Duffett, Nash Duffett, Caleb Duffett, Sabrina Keough, Chloe Keough; 4 great grandchildren Kacey Keough, Zander Keough, Aleah Keough, Makayla Keough and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home in Clarenville. Funeral Service took place on Friday, November 24, 2017 at Fewer's Memorial Chapel, Clarenville with interment at Roman Catholic Cemetery, Plate Cove East. In her memory, donations may be made to Roman Catholic Church, Plate Cove or to the Canadian Cancer Society. We, the family of Miriam Keough, would like to give "Special thanks" to all the staff at Dr. G.B. Cross Memorial Hospital during her illness.

MARTIN, George Ernest Turner
Passed on: November 4th, 2017

Passed peacefully away at his home in Clarenville on Saturday, November 4, 2017, George Martin aged 86 years. Predeceased by his parents; three sisters and four brothers. Left with fond and loving memories are his wife Eloise of 62 years, son Paul (Robin), daughter Denise, his cherished grandchildren Andrew, Matthew, Erin and Gillian, sister-in-law Myrtle King, many nieces, nephews and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. A service to celebrate George's life will be held Thursday, November 9 at 2 pm from the United Church, Shoal Harbour with Interment to follow at the United Church Cemetery, Shoal Harbour. In lieu of flowers, donations in George's memory may be made to Shoal Harbour United Church.
George enjoyed every minute of a 30 year teaching career and followed that with an equally enjoyable 15 years in real estate. His favourite pastimes included golf, bowling, fishing and he spent many hours involved with community organizations and fundraising, times he often referred to as a journey of love.

OSBORNE, Effie
Passed on: November 30th, 2017

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, November 30, 2017, Effie Osborne of Arnold's Cove, aged 84 years. Predeceased by husband Thomas; brothers Issac, Silas, George, Thomas, Stanley and Edwin; sisters Lucy, Dorothy, Mary, Joyce, Debbie and Blanche. Left with fond and loving memories are her children Carl (Marjorie) and Thomas (Jeanette); grandchildren Nikki (Dennis), Mark (Leslie), Michael (Melinda), Matthew (Heather) and Victoria (Evan); great grandchildren Alex (Sara), Noah, Zachary, Claire, Charley, Owen, Spencer and Blake; great great granddaughter Sophia; sisters-in-law Bessie Lawrence and Burnsie Lawrence; and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Arnolds Cove. Funeral service took place on Monday, December 4, 2017 from St. Michael's All Angels Anglican Church, Arnolds Cove with cremation to follow. In her memory a donation may be made to St. Michael's All Angels Anglican Church, Arnolds Cove.

WALTERS, Effie
Passed on: November 9th, 2017

Passed peacefully away at Dr. G B Cross Memorial Hospital, Clarenville on Thursday, November 9, 2017, Effie Walters of Clarenville, aged 90 years. Predeceased by her husband Hezekiah; sisters Bertha Hookey and Florence Barnes; brother Thomas Ryan. Left to mourn with fond and loving memories are her children Les, Judy, Cathy, Perry and Lori (Barry); grandchildren Trina, Lezley, Anthony and Brittany; great grandchildren Sara and Kiah; sisters-in-law Helen Bailey and Edith Ryan and a large circle of family and friends. Rested at Fewer's Funeral Home, Clarenville. Funeral service took place on Sunday, November 12, 2017 at St. Mary's Anglican Church, Clarenville with interment at Pleasant Street Cemetery. In her memory donations may be made to St. Mary's Anglican Church, Clarenville.
