on Wednesday, April 5, 2006, Captain John J. Barnes, of Grand Bank, age 80
years. Predeceased by father and mother George and Caroline Barnes; and brothers
Amos, Hubert, Norman and Clyde, sisters Hilda and Martha Jane. Leaving to
mourn: wife Jean; daughters: Bertha Brenton (Harvey) at Grand Bank, Cheryl
Hogan (Jack) at Gander; sons: Reg (Maria) at Winnipeg, Don (Sandy) at St.
John's, and Stefan at St. John's; 7 grandchildren: sister Nina West (Stanley)
at Bay L'Argent; sisters-in-law: Rachel Barnes at Grand Bank, Gertie Barnes
at Deer Lake, and Shirley Barnes at Creston South. Also a large circle of

Passed suddenly away at Larose, Louisiana on April 3, 2006, Perry
Frank Cake of Lewin's Cove in his 37th year. Leaving
to mourn his loving mom Carol and his dad David. Also leaving to mourn his
sisters: Cynthia Hogan (Luke) at Ottawa and Beth-Ann Quinton (Ian) at Wembley,
Alberta; four nephews: Jordan, Cody, Steven and Aidan and one niece Cassidy,
plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Berdina Ford conducted
funeral services at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in ship Cove, burin on Wednesday,
April 13th. Pallbearers were Geoff Hobbs, Derek Moss, Brian Corrigan, Dwayne

Passed tragically away at sea on April 20, 2006, Wallace Grandy of
Garnish in his 56th year. Predeceased by parents Jacob and
Laura Grandy, brother Brian Grandy, parents-in-law Thomas and Pearl Grandy
all of Garnish. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Wanda,
3 daughters; Lori Snook and husband Tony of Grand Bank, Connie Legge
and husband Danny of Garnish and Paula Pardy and husband Darin of Medicine
Hat, AB; grandsons: Adam, Donovan and Jayden; granddaughter Malaya; sister
Doris Grand and husband Eric of Grand Bank; brothers: Gordon and wife
Mary, Marven and wife Margaret, Keith and wife Ethel all of Garnish brothers-in-law
