BAKER, Freeman M. 
(April 10, 1927 - February 20, 2007)

Passed peacefully away at the US Memorial Health Care Centre, St. Lawrence on Tuesday, February 20, 2007, Freeman M. Baker of Grand Bank, age 79 years. Predeceased by parents Samuel and Janet Baker; and sister Mary Baker. He leaves to mourn: wife Marjorie at Grand Bank; 6 children, daughters Mary Snook (John) at Mose Ambrose; Jane Bishop (Launce) at Halifax; Vera Marshal (Sam) at Fortune; sons Freeman (Joanne) at Grand Bank; Wayne (Mae) at Burlington, Ontario; and Michael (Phyllis) at Kilbride; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; sisters Jessie Baker (Max) at Grand Bank; Sarah Kearley at Grand Bank; and brother Tom at St. Catherine's, Ont. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. Michael Li from Saint Alban's Anglican Church, Grand Bank on Friday, February 23rd at 2 pm. interment followed at Saint Alban's Anglican Cemetery, Grand Bank. Music was provided by Karen Li. Pallbearers were: Freeman Baker Jr., Wayne Bank, Michael Baker, Sam Marshall, Launce Bishop and Todd Snook. Donations in his memory may be made to St. Lawrence Protective Care Unit. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank; "Where Dedicated People Care."

BROWN, Lewis
(July 7, 1916 - January 31, 2007)

Passed peacefully away at Burin peninsula Health Care Centre Lewis Brown of Burin Bay Arm in his 90th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sister Mildred Wiseman of St. John's; brother Clyde Brown of Burin Bay Arm; a large circle of nephews and nieces plus a large circle of family and friends. predeceased by wife Melinda, parents Mary and Matthew Brown; sisters Lilly Pearcey, Carrie Hiscock, Julia Paul, and Emmy Grandy; brothers Walter Brown, jimmy Brown and Lewis Brown. Rev. Mary Harris officiated funeral service on February 3rd from Serenity Chapel, Burin with cremation following. (November 12, 1940 - February 6, 2007)

Passed peacefully away at his residence in Grand Bank on Tuesday, February 6,2007, Arthur B. Clements, age 66 years. Predeceased by parents John and Maggie Clements; and brother Charles Clements. He leaves to mourn: wife Barbara at Grand Bank; son Richard (Ruby) and grandchildren Ashlyn and Ryan at Nova Scotia; sister Dorothy Prosser at Grand Bank; 3 brothers Fred (Jean) at Grand Bank; George (Cathy) at Grand Bank; Cecil and Marilyn at St. John's. Also a circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Majors Frank and Rita Pittman from the Salvation Army Grand Bank at 2 pm on Thursday, February 8, 2007. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank. Music was provided by Herbert Dunford and George Grandy. (November 27, 1940 - February 14, 2007)

Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Wednesday, February 14, 2007, Barbara A. Clements of Grand Bank, age 66 years. Predeceased by husband Arthur. She leaves to mourn: son Richard (Ruby) and grandchildren Ashlyn and Ryan at Nova Scotia; sister-in-law Dorothy Prosser at Grand Bank; brothers-in-law Fred (Jean) at Grand Bank; George (Cathy) at Grand Bank; and Cecil and Marilyn at St. John's. DENTY, Clayton Wilson
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on February 15, 2007, Clayton Wilson Denty of Boat Harbour West in his 65th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Anna; sons Darrell (Roslyn) of Boat Harbour West, Terry (Tina) of Medicine Hat, Alberta, Henry (Violet) of Salmon Arm, British Columbia, Paul (Jean), Cecil (Shauna) and David all of Edmonton, Alberta; daughters Darlene (Claude) Matterface of Boat Harbour West and Carol (Robert) of Salmon Arm, British Columbia. Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Friday, February 23, 2007, Arthur Joseph Fitzpatrick of Marystown in his 92nd year. Predeceased by four sons Gabriel, Gordon, Frank, Arthur and daughter-in-law Eileen. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Annie, sons Pat (Annie) of Marystown,Vince (Bernice) of Marystown, Les of Little Bay and Jack of Marystown; daughters Cellia (Ramon) Hernandez of St. John's and Pauline (Dave) Oakley of the Goulds; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral Mass was conducted by Father Ted O'Connor from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Marystown on Monday, February 26th at 10:30 am. Passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre February 6, 2007, Eileen M. Fitzpatrick of Little Bay in her 61st year. Predeceased by mother Lillian and father Thomas. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories husband Lester, son Darrell (wife Charlene) of Little Bay, daughter Tammy (husband Dennis) Hodder of Paradise and five grandchildren. Also leaving to mourn sister Alavena (Edward Power) of Spanish Room and brother Tom Farrell (Cathy) of Labrador City. Father Ted O'Connor conducted funeral mass at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown, Saturday, February 10 at 10:30 am. Interment was in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Cemetery, little Bay. Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre St. John's, surrounded by his loving family on February 12, 2007, John M. Herlidan of Lord's Cove age 57 years. Predeceased by parents Rene and Josephine Herlidan and sister Catherine Herlidan. Leaving to mourn wife Vivian, daughters Renee Flynn (Barry), Tanya (Curtis), son John (Stephanie), step father Les Hillier, brother Rennie (Rita), sisters Lena Lambe, Joan Dillon (Cyril), Marie Herlidan. Also a circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral mass was conducted by Father Ted O'Connor from Saint Elizabeth's Roman Catholic Church, Lord's Cove on Friday, February 16th at 11:00 am. Interment to follow in Saint Elizabeth's Cemetery, Lord's Cove. Music was provided by St. Thomas Aquinas Choir, cross bearer was Isaac Slaney. HILLIER, Aubrey J.   
(September 23, 1947 - February 16, 2007)

Passed away at the Health Sciences Centre, St.. John's on Friday, February 16, 2007, Aubrey J. Hillier of Lamaline, age 59 years. Predeceased by parents George and Lulu Hillier and brother Claude. Leaving to mourn: son Jamie (Michelle) of Paradise; daughter Jackie of Manitoba; 3 grandchildren Megan, Tyson and Matthew; 1 sister Sharon Martin (Scott) at Lamaline ;brothers Randell (Ernestine) at Toronto; Edgar (Nicole) at Toronto; Freeman (Ethel) at Lamaline; Wayne (Lillian); Hubert (Diane); Morgan (Bernadette) all at Lamaline; Barry at British Columbia. Passed suddenly away in St. Lawrence, February 1, 2007, James P. Howlett of St. Lawrence in his 59th year. Predeceased by parents Sylvestor and Mary Howlett. Predeceased by parents Hedley and Sabina Snook; son Clarence and husband Alex. She leaves to mourn: daughter Shirley Warren at Grand Bank; son Bob (Lillian) at Grand Bank; 3 grandchildren Craig (Lori); Darlene (Llewellyn), and Jennifer, great-grandchildren Christopher and Charity; Dylan and Megan; and hunter and Colby; 6 sisters Christie Griffin (Phillip); Bessie Mugford (Eric), Jessie Porter (Roy); Hilda Cumby (Sam); Beatrice and Violet; 2 brothers Arch (Carol); and David; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. She leaves to mourn: husband Allister at Grand Bank; daughter Elaine Ellis (Stephen) at Birmingham, England; son Frazer (Anita) at Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia; 4 grandchildren; Adam, Joel, Graeme, Lee. Sisters Rhona Cann (Neil) at Sydney Mines, Nova Scotia; Evangeline Marshe (Gerald) at Sydney, Nova Scotia; brother Charles Allen (Mary) at Barrie, Ontario. Predeceased by father Angus Ashford. Father Theodore O'Connor officiated funeral mass on February 28th from St. Thomas Aquinas RC church St. Lawrence with cremation to follow. Pallbearers were Harriett Langdon, Lillian Abbott, Jennifer Tobin, Ellen Tobin, Ann Marie Ducey and Susanna Slaney. Crossbearer was Donna Drake. Passed peacefully away at the Health Science Centre February 28, 2007, Winston Smith of Fortune in his 67th year. Funeral Service was from Calvary Pentecostal Church on Wednesday, February 28, 2007 at 2:00 pm conducted by Pastor Paul Perry. Interment was at Pentecostal Cemetery in Pool's Cove on March 2, 2007.
