Passed peacefully away at U.S. Memorial Health Centre on July 24, 2006, Martha Adams of Creston South in her 95th year. Predeceased by husband Victor, father John Cleal and mother Mary Cleal. Leaving to mourn, son: Max Adams (Alma) of St. John's, daughters: Shirley Corkum (Harvey) of Cole Hr., NS., Muriel Paul (Dan) of Winterland, NL, Cora Burt (Gerald) of Glenwood, NL and Mary Gover (Henry) of Marystown, NL., brother-in-law Samuel Adams (Verlie) of London, Ontario, 23 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, 5 nieces and 9 nephews, plus a large circle of other relatives and friends.Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Oscar Elms at Calvary United Church in Creston South on July 28, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. Interment was at United Church Cemetery in Creston South. Pallbearers were Carl Burt (grandson), Dean Burt (grandson), Jack Legge (nephew), Jim Hooper (friend), Jim Mayo (nephew) and Leslie Sweetapple (nephew). Funeral arrangements entrusted to Geoff Lomond of Peninsula Funeral Home Ltd., Creston South.

BECK, George
Passed suddenly away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on July 30, 2006, George Beck of St. Lawrence in his 62nd year. Predeceased by mother Mildred, father George and brother Melvin. Leaving to mourn his loving wife Elizabeth, son Jeffrey (Tracey) of Beaver Bank, New Brunswick. Also leaving to mourn brothers Roy (Leona) and Ray (Mac); three grandsons Chad, Anthony and Aaron, plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Rev. Berdina Ford conducted a memorial service at St. Matthew's Anglican Church in St. Lawrence on Mon., Aug 7th. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes.

BRAKE, Ann Liza
Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Home, Grand Bank on July 17, 2006, Ann Liza Brake of Marystown in her 86th year. Predeceased by husband William Brake and husband Celestine Farrell, son Patrick and daughter-in-law Courtney. Leaving to mourn sons Tom (Francis) of Marystown, Gerard (Susan) of New Brunswick, Bill of California, Peter of Marystown,Gary (Lori) of Alberta, Charles of North West Territories, and Raymond (Olivia) of Marystown; daughters Ann (Dieter Steimecke) of British Columbia, Victoria (Koos Joustra) of Beau Bois, Mary (Don Butler) of Marystown, 23 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a large circle of other relatives and friends. DOBER, Mary Magdalene
Passed away at the U.S. Memorial Health Care Centre, Mary Magdalene (Doll) Dober of Beau Bois in her 79th year. She was predeceased by husband Albert. Leaving to mourn: sons Albert (Tina) of Marystown, Dann of Beau Bois, Erwin (Karen) of Beau Bois. Daughters Marguerite Dimmer (Danny) of Fox Cove. Also leaving to mourn sister Marguerite Power of Mortier, and brother Joseph Farrell (Meta) of St. John's, 8 grandchildren, and one great-grandchild plus a large circle of other relatives and friends. Father Charlie Kelly conducted the funeral mass at Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Marystown, on Monday, July 3, 2006. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Little Bay. Passed suddenly away at the Health Science Complex, St. John's on July 28, 2006 Stephen Grandy of Garnish in his 66th year. Predeceased by parents Marion and William Grandy. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Shirley; son Craig and wife Elaine of Garnish; daughters Angela Grandy and husband Dan Daigle of Martintown, ON, Kimberley Grandy of Kanata, ON and Jennifer Grandy and husband Rodney Clarke of Kanata, ON; grandchildren Samantha, Adam, Tara and Taylor; sisters Judy Cooper and husband George of Grand Bank and Meta Marsh and husband Cedric of Garnish; brothers Lloyd Grandy and wife Aletha of Mount Pearl and Wayne Grandy and wife Linda of Garnish plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by parents Manuel and Phoebe hillier; sisters Gladys and Agnus; brothers Maxwell, Walter, Russell and Charles. Leaving to mourn: wife Sarah at Fortune, daughter Sharon Lee (David) at Qatar; sons Oliver (Mildred) at St. John's, and Derrick (Sandra) at Oshawa, ontario; 6 grandchildren, sister Emily Thornhill at Tweed, ontario; mother-in-law Hilda Barnes at the Blue Crest Home, Grand Bank; brothers-in-law Samuel Barnes (Sharon) at Grand Bank, Jacob Barnes (Norma) at Garnish, and Gerald Barnes (shirley) at Manuels; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Rev. James Pollard on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 2 p.m. from All Saints Anglican church, Fortune. Interment followed in All Saints Anglican Cemetery. Predeceased by parents Eli and Susie Harris, daughter Shirley, and brothers Samuel, Frederick and Oscar. Leaving to mourn: husband Clayton at Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank; daughters Pearl Johnson at New York, and Joyce Trzetziak at Kentucky; son Wallace (Gertrude) at Paradise; 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; brother Eli Harris (Molly) at Roberts Arm. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral Service was conducted by Rev.Michael Li from Saint Alban's Anglican Church, Grand Bank on Thursday, July 27th at 2 pm. Interment was at Mount Cecilia Cemetery. Pallbearers were Elroy Tobin, Kent Pittman, Guy Tobin, Shannon Tobin, Frank Thoms and Dale Cox. Crossbearer was Devon Tobin. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes, Marystown.

WALSH, Nikki Amanda
December 18, 1995 - July 1, 2006

Passed suddenly away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin, on July 1, 2006, Nikki Walsh of Burin in her 10th year. Predeceased by grandparents Lawrence and Imelda Walsh. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories parents Kevin and Diane; sisters Kaela and Lacey; grandparents Ellen and Alonzo Barron of Mortier;Uncle Wayde and Aunt Ingrid of Marystown, Aunt Carrie and Ken of St. John's, Uncle Floyde and Amanda of Alberta, Aunt Doreen of Salt Pond, Uncle Eugene of Marystown, Aunt Leona and Uncle Reuben of Alberta, Aunt Mary and Uncle Paul of Australia, uncle Dean and Aunt Jackie of Grand Falls and uncle Bryan and Kathleen of St. John's; cousins Victoria, Evan, Denis, Daniel, Alonzo, Shawn, Tracey,Tanya, Sandra, Jason, Ritchie, Gavin, Cameron, Anika and Emma; plus a large circle of other family and friends. Funeral Mass was officiated by Father Charlie Kelly from St. Patrick's Parish Church, Burin on July 4th with cremation following. Pallbearers were Floyde Barron (Uncle), Wade Barron (Uncle), Cameron, Dunne (Cousin), Bob Tobin (Friend, Bus Driver), Ian Edwards (Friend) and Danny Antle (Friend). Cross bearer was Evan Barron (Cousin). Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin. "WE CARE."
