CHEESEMAN, Carmelita
Passed peacefully away at the U.S. Memorial Health Care Centre on Friday, June 8, 2007, Carmelita Cheeseman of Marystown in her 79th year. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories Laura & Mike Cheeseman of Marystown. Sister Mary T. Power of Florida. Sisters Magdalen (Douglas) Murphy of Ontario and Patricia (Don) McIntosh of British Columbia. Brother Jack of Ontario. Plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by husband Gordon, sisters Mary and Stella and brother Anthony. Funeral Mass took place from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic church, Marystown on Monday June 11th at 10:30 am. Interment followed at the Sacred Heart R.C. Cemetery in Marystown. Flowers gratefully accepted. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of White Dove Funeral Homes. CRIBB, Thomas
September 30, 1926 - June 1, 2007

Passed peacefully away after a brief illness Thompson Cribb aged 80 years of Marystown. Predeceased by brother John. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Cassie; sons Simeon and wife Jackie of Wardner, BC; daughters Marion Roberts and husband Cyril of Red Deer, AB, Emily Oliveria and husband John of Wardner, BC, Theresa Hodder and husband Frank of Creston North, Georgina Hennebury and special friend Debbie of Kelligrews, Donna Mullett and husband Christopher of Marystown and Denise Walsh and husband Corey of Marystown; 20 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; sisters Theresa Jackman, Sarah Lomond and Irene Cornish; brothers Jesse and Ches Cribb plus a large circle of other family and friends. Funeral Service was officiated by Captains Wendy and Daren Boone from Salvation Army Citadel, Creston on June 4th with interment following at Salvation Army Cemetery, Creston South. DOMINAUX, Elizabeth Mary
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin on June 19, 2007, Elizabeth Mary Dominaux of Bay L'argent in her 85th year. Leaving to mourn her loving husband James, sons: Warren of Oakville, ON, Maxwell of Toronto, ON, Chesley (wife Pauline) of Medicine Hat, AB, Hubert (wife Darlene) of Harbour Mille, Junior of Bay L'argent, daughters: Julie (husband David Webber) of Chamberlains, Marie (husband Calvin Osbourne) of Bay L'argent, Selina (husband Dan Stewart) of St. Bernard's, Carol Ann (husband Reg Grandy) of Hay River, NWT, sister Anne (husband Tom Bolt) of Bay L'argent, 17 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Donations in her memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Funeral Service was conducted by Mr. Roy Hillier at St. Hilda's' Anglican Church, Bay L'argent on June 23, 2007, 2:00 pm. Interment was at Anglican Cemetery, Bay L'argent. Pallbearers were Warren Dominaux, James Dominaux Jr., Jordan Dominaux, Charles Dominaux, Percy Clarke and David Webber. funeral arrangements entrusted to Geoff Lomond of Peninsula Funeral Home Ltd., Creston South.

FARRELL, Martin Patrick
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre Monday, June 18, 2007, Martin Patrick Farrell of Little Bay in his 85th year. Predeceased by wife Mary, brothers Tom, Bernard and Joseph; son John Thomas and sister Kathleen Hanrahan. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Joseph (Melvina) of Little Bay, Bern (Margaret) of Marystown, John (Rosemary) of Marystown, Martin (Lizeta) of St. John's, Norm of Little Bay and Clarence (Mary Lou) of Little Bay; daughters Bride (Graham) Stebbings of Ottawa and Nora (Peter) Lake of Ottawa; sisters Agnes Grant and Mary (Angus) Walsh; brother-in-law John Thomas Dober; 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral mass took place from Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Marystown Wednesday, June 20th. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Little Bay. GRANDY, Annie M.
(April 12, 1912 - June 9, 2007)

Passed peacefully away at the Blue Crest Interfaith Home, Grand Bank on Saturday, June 9, 2007, Annie M. Grandy of Garnish, age 95 years. Predeceased by parents George and Elizabeth Anstey (Newport); husband Wilbert Grandy; infant daughter Rose; brothers Willie, Tom and Gar. She leaves to mourn: Nephews Wayne Anstey (Marita), Alvin Anstey (Agnes) of Halifax; Niece Major Jeanette Crews (Kenny) of Pictou, Nova Scotia; "Adopted" daughter her niece Dora Moulton; and sister-in-law Winnie Grandy of Garnish. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. To all who knew her she was affectionately known as "AUNT NAN". Funeral Service was conducted by Rev. Chris Andrews from the United Church Garnish on Tuesday, June 12th at 2 pm. Interment followed at the United Church Cemetery, Garnish. Organist was Mona Cluett. Donations in her memory may be made to the Blue Crest Nursing Home, Grand Bank or to the United Church Cemetery Fund, Garnish. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank; "Where Dedicated People Care."

HODGE, Rosalie Mary
Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre Thursday, June 21, 2007, Rosalie Mary Hodge of Lord's Cove in her 79th year. Predeceased by husband William Hodge. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Julian (Mary), Emile (Merena), Jim (Anita), Glen (Cynthia) and George (Mary); daughters Alfreda (Peter), Loretta (Michael), Bernice (Wayne), Sylvia (Wayne) and Helen (Will); 25 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, one brother and three sisters, plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral Mass took place from St. Elizabeth's Roman Catholic church in Lord's Cove Saturday, June 23. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Lord's Cove. Flowers gratefully accepted. Passed suddenly away at his home Friday, June 1, 2007, James Mallay Jr. of Marystown in his 73rd year. Predeceased by wife Bride, brother Eli and grandson Jonathan. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories sons Leon (Jeanette) of St. John's, Fred (Mary) of Marystown and Terry (Audrey) of Mrystown; daughters Margaret Ann (Al) Cleal and Rosarri (Allen) Dimmer, both of Marystown; sisters Annie Brennan, Dot (Jim) Power and Geraldine (Tom) Lambe; brothers Len (Noreen), and Howard (Jean); seven grandchildren Stephen, Elyse, Heather, Elaina, Melanie, Megan and Jenna; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre Wednesday, June 20, 2007, Peter Joseph Moores of Rushroon in his 61st year. Predeceased by mother Irene and father Peter; brothers Eugene and Edmund and sister Elsie. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Frances; sons Gordon (Arlene) of Rushroon and Clifford (Dawn) of St. Lawrence; daughters Roxanne (Jim) Daily (sic) of Whitbourne and Wanda Lee of Rushoon; sisters Hilda (John) Saint, Ellen Walsh and Anadora; brothers Dave (Clara) Moores and Arch (Rosemary) Moores; six grandchildren plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Funeral Mass was held at Christ The King Roman Catholic Church, Rushoon Friday, June 22nd. Interment followed at the Roman Catholic Cemetery in Rushroon. Passed peacefully away at his residence on June 10, 2007, Levi Hugh Rowe of Burin Bay aged 84 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Dorothy; sons Wallace and wife Brenda of Red Harbour and Hughie and wife Kathy of Fort McMurray; daughters Cornelia and husband Stan Warren of Burin Bay and Debbie and husband Mike Power of Burin Bay; grandchildren Fern (Brad) of Edmonton, Jamie (Pam) of Edmonton, Sonya (Jimmie) of Ft. McMurray, Michael (Robin) of Ft. McMurray and Misty of Burin; great grandson Braden of Ft. McMurray; sisters Millicent Janes of St. John's, Elizabeth Pitcher and Gouldie Hollett both of Burin; sisters-in-law Joan Mayo of Creston, Marguerite Martin and husband Levi of Burin and Alma Dunbar of Halifax plus a large circle of other family and friends. Predeceased by parents Tryphena and Felix and brothers Woodrow and John. Rev. Susan White officiated funeral service on June 13th from Zion United Church, Collin's Cove with interment following at United Church Cemetery, Collin's Cove. Pallbearers were Hughie Rowe, Jamie Rowe, Michael Rowe, Gerald Hollett, Shane Foote and Winston pitcher. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Serenity Funeral Home, Burin. "WE CARE."
