Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care on Friday, March 18, 2011, Arthur Barnes of Harbour Mille in his 82nd year. Predeceased by father Roy,mother Susie, sister Lucy, and nephew Thomas.Leaving to mourn, Wife Josephine; Son Donald (Ada) of Harbour Mille, Daughters Lucy Rose (Reginald) of Stephenville, Barbara Grimes (Wayne) of Fall River, Nova Scotia; brothers Reginald (Barbara) of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Stanley (Marie) of Clarenville, sister Marion Scott (Cecil) of Harbour Mille, 4 grandchildren: Connie and Steven Barnes, and Glenn and Shawn Rose, 1 great-grandson Jacob Rose.Also 5 Great Great Grandchildren.Funeral service was conducted by Rev.Ken Abbott,& Lay Minister Roy Hillier from St.Mary's Anglican Church Harbour Mille at 2pm on Monday March 21st. Interment followed at the St.Mary's Anglican Cemetery, Mille. Music was provided by Rev.Ken Aboott.Pall Bearers were Len Pike, Carl Dominix,Wade Pardy, Fred Wall, Ches Tibbo, & Leroy Baker. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late BERNARD JOSEPH BUTLER of Marystown announces his passing at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Friday March 25, 2011 at the age of 93. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories are Sister Geraldine (Alex) Stapleton of Marystown; Brother Cyril (Maude) Butler of Marystown; Nephews Con, Edmund, Bernard, Craig, Keith and Jonathan; Nieces Berni, Kathleen, Lizeta, Denise, Rosalind, Nora, Staci and Kelsi; Long Time Friend Pad Drake; plus a large circle of family and friends. Predeceased by Parents John & Mary Butler, Sisters Kathleen Fitzpatrick and Lenora Butler, and Nephews Gerard & Calvin Butler. Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, on Monday, March 14, 2011, Millicent Ford (nee Brake) of Garnish, formerly of Corner Brook, NL, in her 78th year. Leaving to mourn, son Darryl (Gloria), daughter Darlene (Clifford Grandy); granddaughters Diane (Chad Antle), Cheryl (Aaron Andrews); brothers Wilbur (Marge), Jim (Nina), Eric (Dar), Allan (Darlene); sisters Hilda Payne, Mildred (Wallace Shears), Evelyn Gardiner; special friend Jesse Cribb and family; nieces and nephews; and a large circle of relatives and friends. Predeceased by husband Eric, infant son Eric Jr., parents Sydney & Wilhelmina Brake, brothers Gerald, Aubrey and Max, and sister Una. Rev. Mary Harris conducted the funeral service at the Garnish United Church on Thursday, March 17th, at 2:00 PM, with interment at the United Church Cemetery in Garnish. Passed away suddenly at his residence in St. Lawrence on March 22nd Dominic Rennie age 58 years. Father Edward Raj officiated Funeral Mass from St. Thomas Aquinas RC Church, St. Lawrence Friday at 10AM with interment following at Mount Cecilia Cemetery.
