Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre on Sunday, September 16, 2007, George Henry Burt of Grand Bank, age 86 years. Predeceased by parents Stanley and Julia Burt and sister Dinah. He leaves to mourn: wife Leona; daughter Eileen (Kevin) at Grand Bank; son Stanley and wife Minnie at Grand Bank; 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers Leonard and wife Beulah at Grand Bank, Chesley and wife Ruby at Corner Brook. Also a circle of other relatives and friends. Funeral service was conducted by Majors Frank and Rita Pittman from the Salvation Army, Grand Bank on Wednesday at 2 p.m. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Grand Bank. Music was provided by David Noseworthy and Herbert Dunford. Pall bearers were: Steve Burt, Bruce Burt, Bruce Stacey, Charlie Prior, Wayne Trimm and Les Price. Donations in his memory may be made to the Salvation Army Cemetery Fund, Grand Bank or the Janeway hospital. CLOUTER, Allan L.
Passed peacefully away at the Burin peninsula Health Care Centre Friday, September 14, 2007, Allan Clouter of Fortune in his 73rd year. Predeceased by wife Amelia and brother Don. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories wife Rose; sons Raymond (Eleanor) of Fortune, David (Ann) of London, England, Allan Guy (Donna) of Barrie, Ontario and Chris (Karen) of Brampton, Ontario; daughters Beverley (Denis) of Fortune, Ella (Roy) of Grand Bank and Janice (Paul) of Burin; step-daughters Muriel (Larry) Grosse of Dildo, Della (Winston) Chapman of Deer Lake and Sandra (Merrill) of Fortune; sister Jane Stacey of Swift Current; brothers Sydney of Mississauga, Ontario and Guy of Aylesford, Nova Scotia; 10 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; plus a large circle of relatives and friends. Leaving to mourn sons Walter and Wife Rose, Morley and wife Verna; daughters Marion Parsons and husband Willis (deceased). Hazel Harding and husband Eric, Effie Matchem and husband Jack, Doris Day and husband Jim, Rita Hardiman and husband Roy, Eileen Matthews and husband Harold and Linda Bulger and husband Pat. 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Passed suddenly away on Saturday, September 15, 2007, Dan L. Forsey of Grand Bank, age 44. Predeceased by grandparents Reuben and Winnifred Forsey and Hector and Rebecca Rose; aunts Irene and Ann, and cousins Jennifer and Donna. (July 31, 2007 - September 4, 2007)

Sara was born on July 31, 2007 at Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre. She fought bravely for 35 days. She passed peacefully away at the Janeway Children's Hospital, St. John's on September 4, 2007, Sara Paige Grandy of Garnish 35 days old. Pall bearers were: Fred Forsey, Clarence Brooks, Claude Follett, George Weymouth, Craig Weymouth and Kirk Snook. Donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the care of Warren's Funeral Home, Grand Bank; "Where Dedicated People Care."
