HARNUM, Wendell J. - Passed peacefully away at Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, May 17, 2006, Wendell J. Harnum of Heart's Delight, age 86 years. Member of Masonic Lodge, Heart's Content and Mazol Shriners. Predeceased by brother Denzil. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories, wife Isabelle; one son Robert, Heart's Delight; two daughters: Judy (Tim Walsh), Largo, Florida, Paula (Ernie Brown), Hamilton, ON; two granddaughters: Christina (Mark), Florida, Staci (John), California; two great-grandchildren: Sarah and Johnnie; sister, Kay Lohnes, Vancouver, BC; four sisters-in-law: Dorothy Harnum, Cairine, Emily and Gladys; also a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Resting at Bethel United Church, Heart's Delight. Visiting hours Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m.; Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Monday 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. from Bethel United Church. Interment in Bethel United Cemetery, Heart's Delight. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Nfld. Cancer Treatment Foundation or a charity of one's choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the care of Green's Funeral Home, Winterton.

HILLYARD, Ewart A.E. - Passed peacefully away on Tuesday, May 9, 2006, of Topsail (formerly of Hearts Content), age 82 years. Predeceased by brothers: Bill, Jack and Bert, sister-in-law Audrey. Left with fond and loving memories, his wife Jean (nee Underhay); son Don (Michelle); daughters: Robin Power (Gordon), Karen Austin (Peter); grandchildren: Elliott, Lauren and Evan Power, Carly and Zoe Austin, Allan, Colin, Mackenzie Hillyard and Amanda Roberts; sisters: Noreen Smith (Terrance), Ottawa, Phyllis Sooley (Ivan); brother Roland (Marguerite); brother-in-law Boyd Underhay (Elaine); sisters-in-law: Carol Kelland, Jessie Squires, Marina Hillyard, Irene Moores (Jim), N.S.; also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation in the James J. Hickey Memorial Funeral Home, Kelligrews on Thursday 7-9 p.m. and Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service in Topsail United Church, Topsail on Saturday, May 13, 2006 at 10 a.m. Inurnment in Topsail United Cemetery, Topsail. HOGAN, Thomas G.Catalina, worked with construction all his life. He was predeceased by his brothers William Hogan, John Hogan and sister Josephine Target. Surviving are his wife: Bernadette Hogan (Sutton); sons: Patrick Hogan (wife Kim), Port Union, NL, John Hogan (Roxanne) of St. John's, NL, Gregory Hogan, Catalina; daughters: Theresa Hogan, Charlottetown, NL, Sharon Hiscock (Michael), Port Rexton, NL, Ellen Porter, Port McNeil, B.C., Paula Scobey (Stephen), Liverpool, N.S.; grandsons: Jeffery Hogan, Bonavista, NL, Nicolas Justin, Liverpool, N.S., Conrad and Carson, Port of Port, McNeil, B.C.; granddaughters: Holly Hogan, Port Union, Krystal Hiscock, Port Rexton, Samantha Scobey, Liverpool, N.S.; one great-granddaughter: Kay-Lee Goodland; two sisters-in-law Mary Hogan, Catalina, Helen Hogan, Gander; one sister: Rita Kedell, Ship Cove, NL; many nieces and nephews.

HODDER, Geraldine - August 2, 1922 - May 8, 2006. It is with great sadness the family of Geraldine Hodder announces her sudden passing at Brechin, Ontario. Geraldine was born in Ireland's Eye to the late James and Eunice (Cooper) Hodder. She was a retired school teacher. She devoted herself to her students in Ivanhoe, Little Hr., Lockston, Jacks Beach, Corner Brook and Buchans. Later years at the Trade School in Lewisporte. Geraldine was predeceased by her parents, sisters Frances (Harold Peddle), Edith (Ralph) Pitcher, brother Walter, nephew Weston Pitcher. She leaves to mourn niece Annie King (Reg), nephews: Lindsay Pitcher (Ellen), Edgar Pitcher (Daphne), Jim Hodder (Cathy), John Hodder (Mary), James Peddle (Michelle); sister-in-law Carrie Hodder, Marina Pitcher (niece-in-law). Special great-niece and nephew Marilyn and Alvin King. Special friends at Brechin, Ontario, Ann, Elizabeth and Malcolm. Also a large circle of other family and friends. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Gordon Woolfrey Funeral Home, Lewisporte. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 11 at 2 p.m. from St. Paul's Anglican Church, Lewisporte. Donations can be made to the St. Paul's Anglican Church, Lewisporte or a charity of one's choice.

Resting at Green's Funeral Home, Winterton. Visiting hours Friday 10:00 - 12:00 p.m., 2:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 10:00 p.m.; Saturday 10:00 - 12:00 p.m. Funeral service to take place at 2:00 p.m. from Trinity United Church and Cemetery, Winterton. IVANY, Pearl E - Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on January 12, 2006, Pearl Ivany, age 74 years, of Whitbourne. Predeceased by her husband Douglas, 1993. Leaving to mourn son Barry (Kathleen); daughters Sandra Johnson (Greg), Sharon Davis (Peter); six grandchildren Natasha (Luc Mallett), James, Kristopher, Tanya, Amanda & Graeme; four great-grandchildren Jasmine, Natalie, Evan, Seth; special friend Olive Noseworthy; also, a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Holloway's Funeral Home, 17 Cabot Avenue, Whitbourne. Visitation 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Monday, January 16 at 2 p.m. from St. John the Baptist Anglican Church, Whitbourne. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Whitbourne. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
