Louise (Richard) Chaffey, Corner Brook, NF, Frances (Bruce) Patey,

NF, Mary (Lorne) Audia, Nelson, BC, Hubert (Margaret) Butler,
Windsor, ON, Audrey (Garry) Atkins, Truro, NS. She is also survived
by aunts and uncles, especially her beloved Aunt Delphine Butler;
as well as 29 nieces and nephews and numerous friends. She was
predeceased by sister Rosamond, December 3, 1938; father Hubert
Butler, February 12, 1974; and mother May (nee Bennett) Butler,
July 28, 1994. Funeral Service will be held on September 19,
1998 at 1 p.m. in St. Peter`s Anglican Church, Campbell River,

CORBETT, Doris - Died peacefully on May
22nd, 1998, at her
home in Belleville, Michigan, U.S.A., in the presence of her
devoted cousin, Marie Corbett and others who loved her. Born
at Conception Harbour, Newfoundland, October 22nd, 1938, Doris,
a former teacher was also well known as a popular folk-singer
and story-teller. Prior to her death, she was a Professor at
Wayne State University, Madonna College, and Centre of Creative
Studies at Michigan, U.S.A. She is survived by a large circle
of relatives and friends throughout Newfoundland and other Canadian
provinces and the United States as well. Cremation to follow.
Burial in the family plot at Conception Hr, at a later date.

of October, 1998, at 84 years. Born on Bell Island, Nfld., moved

of WWII, he served with the 166th Royal Newfoundland Field Regiment,
Royal Artillery from April 1940 to 1945. Leaving to mourn his

and Cecil (Lillian) of Georgetown, Ont.; sisters-in-law: Florence

Member of Ironworkers Local 721 for 40 years. Lived and worked
in Toronto, Ontario until his early Retirement in 1990 where
he returned to the land he loved so much NEWFOUNDLAND. Greg was
also a 26 mile marathoner and was involved in the Terry Fox walks
from Marysvale to Holyrood raising money for Cancer research.
Passed peacefully away in the presence of his family, at the
Pallative Care Unit, St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Tuesday,
April 7th, 1998 Gregory John Doyle, in his 64th year of Middle Arm,
Avondale. Predeceased By his Father George Doyle, Sr , his mother
Mary Doyle, his brothers James, Patrick and Edward. Left with
fond and loving memories are his devoted Wife of 28 years Shirley
Marie at Avondale, his son Glenn at Toronto, and his step-children

Newfoundland. She was the daughter of the late William John and
Lillian (Goodwin) Martin. She retired from the Hotel Newfoundland
in 1987, where she had worked for many years. Surviving is her
partner Cluny Jones; five daughters: Rosalind Jacobs, Fort McMurray,
Alberta, Cathy Murphy (Paul), Halifax, Anne Penny (Paul), Saskatoon,
Marilyn Phalen (Mike), Winnipeg, Carmel Stevenson (Randy), Dartmouth;
three sons: Jack Hickey (Shirley, British Columbia, George Hickey
(Darlene), Manitoba, Rod Hickey (Doreen), British Columbia; two
sisters: Lillian LeBlanc, Halifax, Jean Penton, Mount Pearl;
son-in-law Derrick Malinowski; daughter-in-law Jean Hickey; twenty-eight

She was predeceased by daughter Betty Malinowski, son Bob (Midge)

Army and Even Tide Nursing Home, Cambridge, Ont. for 10 years.

Blanche (Mrs. Maurice Emsley), Point Claire, Que.; brothers:

MARSH, William Norman - It is with great
sadness that the family of the Late Norman Marsh announced his
passing on Sunday, May 31, 1998, in his 78th year. Norman was
a WWII Veteran serving with the Merchant Navy. Leaving to mourn
with a lifetime of loving and cherished memories are his wife
of 52 years Nancy (Gaythorpe); his children Bill (Barb) Paradise,
Norman of England, Peggy of Topsail, Hazel (Blaine Kelly) of
Topsail, also his pride and joy his eight grandchildren and 2
great-grandchildren whom he dearly loved. His loving sisters:
Alfreda (Clem Yetman), Bella (Chas Grandy) of Garnish, Marina
of Burin Bay and their families; sister-in-law Flo (Arthur Sherwood)
of England. Also a large number of friends in Garnish where he
was born and in Topsail where he resided for the past four years.

late Joe Meaney (formerly of Avondale) announce his passing at
the Sir Thomas Roddickton Hospital in Stephenville on Tuesday,
September 22, 1998 at the age of 64 years. Leaving to mourn with
precious memories are his loving wife of 24 years, Bridget (nee
Gushue); three brothers: Michael (Linda), Woodrow (Eileen) and

George Morgan of West Field,
New Brunswick, husband of Gladys (Chipman) Morgan occurred on
Wednesday, October 7, 1998 at the St. John Regional Hospital.
Born in Manuels, Newfoundland, George was the son of the late
George and Hannah (Squires) Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a resident
of Manuels, Newfoundland most of his life and resided in West
Field for the past five years. Mr. Morgan was a taxi driver by
profession. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch
Number 50. Besides his wife, George is survived by two sons:
Leonard (Wynn Ann) of St. John`s; Bruce (Sharon), Seal Cove,
Newfoundland); one daughter, Mrs. Judy (David) Sheaves of West
Field; one brother Harold, Paradise, Newfoundland; two sisters:
Lillian Pearcey, St. John`s, Newfoundland and Rebecca Parrott,
Winterton, Newfoundland; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren;
several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers
William, Clarence and Herman. Resting at Brenan`s Funeral Home,
