BOLAND/WHEELER- What to say, what to say about that exciting day, as we walked the golf course mommy was contracting away, then we hurried to Future Shop to get a new camera, but Mommy’s water broke causing quite the drama. We didn’t have time to hear about the extended warranty, to the hospital we drove and the rest is history! Blair and Leslie are thrilled to announce the birth of their first child. Cameron James Rafael, 8 lbs 2 oz arrived 12:12 am on April 23rd, 2007. Proud Grandparents are Carl & Lucy Wheeler (Nova Scotia) and Gerry & Helen Boland (Outer Cove). A huge thank you to Dr. Kum, Dr. Kravitz, Dr. J. Mercer and Dr. Clarke for their speedy anesthesia and operative skills, Case room nurse Stacey Lambe, NICU nurses Kim, Olivia and Cindy, and the nurses of 5NB especially Deanne Squires. We would also like to thank all our family and friends for their unending support - including aunties Cathy, Jill and Paula for all the great advice and Nanny and Poppy Wheeler and Boland for all their words of encouragement and turkey dinners. Finally, thanks to Daddy for his unending patience and love over the past year!

CROCKER/DUGGAN- Mark, Denise and big sister Kaitlyn are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their beautiful baby girl, Keira Genevieve. Keira was born on April 16, 2007 at 2:07 p.m. weighing 6 lbs. and 9½ oz. Keira is welcomed by her grandparents Kevin & Irene Duggan and Paul & Jenny Crocker & a large circle of family and friends. A very special thank you to Daddy and Nanny Duggan for being there for Mommy during my arrival. Also thanks to the doctors and nurses of the case room and 5NB.

HAWKINS/HOLTZ - Chad and Jen are pleased to announce the safe arrival of their son, Nathan, born April 17, 2007, weighing 6 lbs. 8 oz. Born in Cambridge, Ontario. Gramma, Bernadette Carew, welcomes Nathan, her first grandchild.

HYNES - Angela and Dr. Allan Hynes along with their children Cameron 6, Faron 3, and Jainen 2, happily announce the birth of Merridy Viola. Merridy weighed 7 lbs 5 oz and was born April 15, 2007 at 2:24 AM at HSC in St. John's. We thank Dr. Murphy and team for their help and especially LPN Joy Delaney for her extra special touch and professionalism. Above all, we especially thank Almyra Hodder for her devotion and ungoing support to our children and family.

MOORES - Big sister Rachael and proud parents Terry and Katrina (Burden) are thrilled to announce the birth of our precious baby boy, Andrew William, born April 7, 2007 at 2:13 a.m., weighing 10 lbs. 2 oz. Also welcoming Andrew are grandparents Les and Helen Burden (Carbonear); grandmother Daphne Colbourne (Carbonear) and a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Lacelle for her excellent prenatal care and to case room nurse Robyn Beaudry for helping Dr. Lacelle bring our beautiful son safely into the world.

MULROONEY/WELLS - Colleen and Joey and big brother Daniel are proud to announce the birth of their precious little bundle of joy. Claire was born on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 at 8:07 p.m., weighing in at 5 lbs. 6½ oz. Also welcoming Claire are first time grandparents Rose and Jackie Mulrooney, and Aunt Danielle Mulrooney, seventh grandchild for Patricia Wells, also a large circle of relatives.

PARSONS- Randy, Jennifer (nee Perry) and big sister Katie are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of a healthy baby boy. Jake Ethan Perry was born on April 19th at 2:18 a.m. weighing 7 lbs 11 ozs. Welcoming Jake are grandparents Ralph Parsons and Anne Tucker of St. John’s; Nelson and Diane Perry of Topsail; as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, and guardian angel, Nanny Parsons (Katie). A special thank-you to Dr. Sarah Healey and the staff at the Women’s Health Centre for the pregnancy and the excellent prenatal care. Many thanks also to Dr. Healey, Dr. Jennifer Mercer, Beverly Hawco and Lisa Petten for a safe delivery; and to the staff in the NICU for their care of Jake.

STEVENSON/POPE- New parents, Chris and Sandra, are overjoyed to announce the arrival of their precious baby girl, Miriam Rose, born at 4:27 a.m., September 17, 2007, at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John's, weighing a healthy 9 lbs. 7.6 ozs. Proud grandparents are Thomas and Charity Rose Pope, and Carl and Wendy Stevenson, both of St. John's. Special thanks go to Dr. O'Shea, nurse Margaret-Ann and all the staff of the case room and 5NB at the HSC.

TAYLOR - Big brothers William and Alexander, along with their parents Gillian (Elton) and Arthur, are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their baby sister, Julianne Heather, born 8:18 a.m. on April 18, weighing 6 lbs. 11 oz. Proud grandparents are William and Faith Elton, and Douglas Taylor and Phyllis Taylor. Our thanks to Dr. Kum and the case room and 5NB staff for their care.

VEY - Jarrod and Nicole (Anthony) are proud to announce the birth of their first child a beautiful daughter. Mackenzie Hazel Vey was born at 5:08 p.m. on April 3, 2007 at the Health Sciences, St. John's, weighing 7 lbs. 03 ozs. Mackenzie was much waited for and welcomed by her grandparents Wayne and Glenys Vey, Upper Gullies, Alfred and Bernice Anthony, Kelligrews, Uncle Dwayne and Uncle Travis. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at the Health Sciences.

WHITTY - Darryl and Jennifer (Dalton) are pleased to announce the safe arrival of their daughter, Sydney Jane, from the arms of her guardian angel, poppy Joe Whitty in heaven on April 12, 2007 at 1:07 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 7 oz. Proud grandparents are Reg and Mary Dalton of Mount Pearl and Edith Whitty of Torbay. A special thank you to Dr. Howse and her team, nurses in the case room, the nurses of 5NB and friends and family who visited with gifts and well wishes, it is greatly appreciated.
