Proud grandparents Arthur and Shirley Ghent and Mabel Abbott and watching over him from heaven, Poppy Gordon. Thanks to Dr. Kum, and his team, as well as the fourth and second floor nurses and the NICU nurses at the Grace Hospital. Special thanks to Daddy and Aunt Valerie for being great coaches.

Dave and Bonnie (nee Brophy) of Petersburg, Illinois are proud to announce the birth of their son John William, born December 2, 1999, weighing 7 lb. 3½ ozs.  Welcomed home by big brothers Joshua (3½) and Jacob (2).  John is the fourth grandchild for George William and Triffie Brentnall, Fort McMurray and the 12th grandchild for Mary and the late John (Kevin) Brophy, Fermeuse.

Kyran, and Anne (nee McGrath) thank God for the safe arrival of their daughter, Emily Anne, born December 23, 1999, weighing 6 lbs. 2 oz.. Jerry and Tammy (Lear) are delighted to announce the birth of their first child, Mitchell Gerald, weighing 6 lbs. 11 oz. on December 10, 1999 at Gray Nuns Hospital, Edmonton.  Proud first-time grandparents are Wayne and  Paula Fagan and Betty and John Lear, also proud first-time uncle; David Fagan (Tammy Dawe) and Perry Lear. 

Follett
Mommy and Daddy (Juanita and David) are pleased to announce the safe arrival of their first precious little boy. Christian Nathaniel Follett was born on December 29, 1999 at 8:44 p.m. weighting 7 lbs 12½ ounces. We would like to thank Dr. Will and Dr. Dill, as well as all the caring nurses in the N.I.C.U. and on the second floor. Special thanks to Dr. Bartellas for making all this possible.

Gibbons / Zwack
Ross and Lisa (Zwack) of Grand Prairie, Alberta, proudly announce the birth of their first child, a precious baby girl, Sara Helen, weighing 6 lbs, Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at Queen Elizabeth II Hospital, Grand Prairie. Sara is the third grandchild for Leonard and Evelyn Gibbons, St. Vincent's, and Alma Beaudoin and Gary Zwack, Edmonton.  A little cousin for Nathan and Lucas, St. John's and Jessica and Tayler, Edmonton. 

Goulding / Mooney
Stephen, Ellen and big sister Kathleen are pleased to announce the arrival their beautiful daughter and little sister Rachel Ellen Goulding.  Rachel was born on December 2, 1999, weighing 7 pounds, 10 ounces, at the Grace General Hospital in St. John's.  Proud grandparents are Maude Goulding and the late Allan Goulding of Gander and Ellen Mooney and the late Arnold Mooney of Branch.  Also welcoming Rachel are a large number of aunts, uncles and cousins.

Hand / Stewart - Bill and Margo (nee Stewart) are proud to announce the arrival of Graham's baby brother, Mitchell Scott.  Born on December, 8, 1999 at 8:40 am, weighing 8 lbs. Thrilled grandparents for the second time are Bill and Lestra Stewart, and for the 28th time Alice and the late J.B.Hand.  Thanks to Dr. Don Tennent for arriving before Mitchell and to Dr. Steve Walker for his continuing care and friendship.

Hanlon
A Perfect Christmas Miracle. Born to Danny and Karen Hanlon, December 13, 1999, a beautiful and precious son, Sheldon Daniel Hanlon.  "Unto us God gave a son, the answer to a 14 year prayer".

Harris / Pink
Claudia and Gerry are ecstatic. They wish to announce the arrival of their first child, a precious little boy, Gerald Claude. Our little man arrived December 16th, 1999, at 6:57 pm., weighing 6 lbs. 9 ozs. Proud grandparents for the 2nd time are Claude and Barbara Pink, Mount Pearl and 1st time David and Alice Harris, Goose Bay. First time great-grandparents are Rev. Harvey and Pansey Harris, Shoal Harbour, and Mrs. Hilda Short of Port aux Basques, whom was called to God's garden shortly after Gerald's arrival. Also, smiling down from heaven is special cousin Christopher. Special thanks to Nanny Pink, whose guidance and special care for mommy was invaluable.. She helped mommy through her pregnancy and never left her side until after my arrival, which was really cool. Just ask Nanny! If I ever play hockey, I know who I want my coach to be. Sincere thanks to Dr. Joan Crane and team, and Dr. Jeff White for their excellent support and care.

Hounsell / Stead
Dwayne and Leah (Stead) are proud to announce the arrival of their precious baby boy, Nicholas Gerald, born on December 28, 1999, weighing 8 pounds 2½ ounces. Proud grandparents Sandy and Maisie Hounsell, Margaret Stead and the late Gerald Stead. We would like to extend our thanks to Dr. Bob Miller, Dr. Heidi Kravitz and all the nursing and medical staff of the caseroom and second floor Grace Hospital.

Kennedy / Flaherty
On December 10, 1999 the Kennedy and Flaherty Families were blessed with the early Christmas gift with the arrival of their first granddaughter, Katherine Marie.  Katherine Marie was born to John (Johnny) and Pauline at Oakville Memorial Hospital, Oakville, Ontario, weighing in at 8 pounds.  Welcome comes from very proud grandparents Jimmy and Edna Flaherty, John and Marg Kennedy; and great-grandmother Mrs. Frances Duggan; aunt Tina and cousin Andrew; uncle Michael; aunt Denise and uncle Tony and cousin Nicholas, aunt Deanne and uncle Gerald.  Special thanks to Nanny Edna and Poppy John for being there for the special event.  Merry Christmas everyone!

Conrad and Roxanne (Vey) are very proud to announce the safe arrival of their first child, a precious baby boy, Noah Gordon John, weighing 8 lbs. 9½ ounces. Catherine Marie Bouchereau was born December 30, 1999 at 8:05 a.m., weighing 6 lbs. 13 oz. in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Catherine is anxious to meet her special cousin Erin Sullivan. O'Neill / Hussey
Santa has come early! On December 17, 1999 at 5:37 A.M. (two weeks early) a precious little angel was born to Todd and Tracy (nee Hussey) Noah Bernard O'Neill tipped the scales at 8 lbs. 1 oz..  Noah is the second grandchild for elated grandmother Joan O'Neill and the sixth grandchild to very proud grandparents Linda and Maxwell Hussey.  Also welcoming Noah with joy are great-grandmother, Margaret Hussey and uncles Mike, Derrick, Todd and Scot; aunts Cindy and Sandra and cousins Kayla, Kristen, Tyler, Sam, Emily and Briana.  Looking down from heaven, Noah is blessed with two special Guardian Angels, Poppy O'Neill (Bernard) and great-grandmother Sarah Brophy.  Thanks to Dr.'s Pike and Singh, caseroom nurses, especially Joan.  Mommy and Noah would especially like to thank Daddy for his exceptional support and coaching before and during delivery.

Proud grandparents are Jim and Rosemary Wall of Grand Falls-Windsor and Harold and Eunice Wells of Botwood. Whiffen / McCormick
Jackie (McCormick) and Joe Whiffen are pleased to announce the arrival of their third beautiful baby daughter, Natalie Cynthia.  Natalie's sisters  Catherine and Maria are also thrilled by her arrival. Natalie was born December 2, 1999 at 11:41 p.m., weighing 8 lbs. 2 oz..  Proud grandparents are Patrick and Elizabeth McCormick and Alexander and Rosemary Whiffen.  We would like to thank Dr. Kravitz and the nursing staff at the Grace General Hospital. 

Whitten / Miller
Yawn...stretch...ahhhhh!

Hello, my name is Nicholas Ryan, sleepy and hungry. Son of Kerry and Cheryl (Miller), living in Paradise. I was born at the Grace General Hospital, December 24, 1999, 6:12 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 14¾ ozs.. Sharing in my joyous arrival are grandparents Florence and Douglas Whitten (Mount Pearl), Frazer and Shirley Miller (Chamberlains); great-grandparents; Myrtle Whalen (Foxtrap), Harold Miller (Bell Island) and my only Aunt Heather Miller. My parents and I would like to extend a special thanks to all the nursing staff, on the 4th and 2nd Floors for their patience and friendly assistance. I'd also like to thank my Doc, Dr. Elizabeth Bannister, she put my Dad and Mom at ease. It can't be easy being parents for the first time, but I'm getting them to adjust quite well now.
