ANDREWS- Randy and Janet (Saunders) are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their precious baby boy. As Poppy Lewis Saunders and Great-grandma Julia Greeley watched from heaven, Ethan Lewis Julian Andrews, was born on January 11, 2007 at 5:04 p.m., weighing 8 lbs. 9 oz. at the Misericordia Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta. Anxiously awaiting Ethan’s arrival was second time proud grandmother Helen Saunders of Long Pond and first-time proud grandparents are Dale Andrews-Keats and Scott Keats of Foxtrap, Randy Andrews (Maxine) of Upper Gullies, also great-grandpa Wils Greeley of Foxtrap and Great-grandma Mary Saunders of Glovertown. We would like to express a sincere thank you to the nursing staff of the labour and delivery unit and a special thank you to Daddy for his support and encouragement during the labour and delivery and for taking such good care of Mommy and me.

ANDREWS - Craig and Jessica (Bridson) are very happy new parents of Euan Forbes Andrews, born on January 31, 2007 in Ottawa, weighing 11 lbs. 5 oz. Euan is welcomed with love and joy by his grandparents, John and Mary Bridson of St. Philip’s, and David and Lisa Andrews of Renfrew, Scotland.

ANTHONY - A baby! A baby! exclaimed Claire as she welcomed home her little brother, Kyle Philip, with hugs and kisses. Kyle is also welcomed by furry playmate Nacho Cat. He arrived on January 4, 2007 to proud parents Annette and Joe. Grandparents are Stan and Irene Beales of Corner Brook, and Moses and Jeanette Anthony of Mount Pearl. Mommy sends special thanks to Daddy and Claire for their love and care, and to Dr. Strand for bring Kyle safe and sound into our world.

BARRETT - Dean and Jennifer (Reid) joyfully announce the birth of their first child on January 25, 2007 at 6:17 p.m., 6 lbs. 14 oz. Jackson Harry is adored by grandparents Fred and Glenda Barrett, and Juanita Reid; great-grandmothers Toms, Drover and Barrett; aunts, uncles and very excited cousins. Jack is also blessed to have Poppy Harry watching over him from heaven. Our thanks to Dr. O’Grady for her excellent pre/post natal care; Dr. Kravitz for a safe delivery; and the WHC’s OBS and case room nurses (especially mommy’s friend Heather) for their exceptional care.

BARRETT/LUCAS- Alexis is very excited to announce the arrival of her identical twin brothers, William & Logan. At 2:04 am on January 09, at the Health Sciences Woman’s Health Center, William weighed in at 7 lbs. 6 ozs. with Logan following 6 minutes later at 2:10 am, Logan at 8 lbs.. Mommy & Daddy (Jessica Barrett & Jimmy Lucas), Nana & Papa (Julie & Bill) Barrett, and Nanny & Poppy (Pauline & Jim) Lucas are delighted that the Boys made the journey safe and sound and are hearty and healthy. We all would like to express our appreciation and a big Thank-You to all that have been involved along the way; doctors, interns, nurses and staff at all the check-ups, the ultra-sounds, the case room, & the delivery, Special thanks to Dr. Jillian Parsons and Extra Special thanks to Dr. Atamjit Gill.

BENNETT/VINCENT- Sean, Donna and “furry” brother Cabot are thrilled to announce the much anticipated arrival of their first child, Ceili Bronwyn, born January 14th, 2007 at 8:17 a.m., weighing 8 lbs. 3 ozs. at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Ceili is welcomed by Nana & Poppy (Phyllis & Bill) Vincent, Nana (Debbie) & special angel Poppy (Mick) Bennett watching over her from heaven. Patiently awaiting Ceili’s arrival were uncle Mike (Katherine) Bennett, aunts Kim Vincent (Martin Bagley) and Meghan Bennett (Steven Kieley). Mommy would like thank Daddy & Auntie Kim for all their love, support and care during labor and delivery. We would also like to express our appreciation to all family and friends who joined in this wonderful journey. Special thanks to Dr. Moffat for his exceptional prenatal care and Unit 25 nurses Jen and Nora for ensuring the safe delivery of such a precious gift.

BUTTON OSMOND - Barbara and Selby Button of Mount Pearl are delighted to announce the birth of their first grandchild, a boy! Arran Selby was born to Kerri and Gerry on January 24, 2007 at Sturgeon General Hospital, St. Albert, Alberta, weighing 6 lbs. 2 oz. Also thrilled are third time grandparents Cassie and Gerald Osmond of Gambo, Aunt Alison & Uncle Jamie and cousins Lucas and Kylie, Aunt Trudy & Uncle Paul and Aunt Roxanne & Uncle Joe.

CARROLL - Pat and Lisa are very excited to announce the arrival of their baby boy, Will Joseph, born January 6, 2007, weighing 7 lbs. 12 oz. Welcoming Will into our family are proud grandparents Bill and Geraldine Carroll and John and Zita Murphy, as well as all his aunts, uncles and cousins and Nanny Connie who will watch over him from heaven. Many thanks to Dr. Heidi Kravitz for her wonderful care and to the nurses and staff in the case room, especially to our amazing nurse, Lavina Madden who was outstanding during our delivery.

COLLINS - We are so cute I'm sure you'll agree. Here we are Twin A and Twin B. Tommy and Sammy Collins born January 21st, 2007. Congratulations to Tommy and Jennifer Collins , from proud grandparents Harold and Regina Somers, and Tom and Theresa Collins.

COADY/SEARS- Rhonda Coady and Pat Sears are pleased to announce the arrival of Kennedy Louise on January 11, 2007 at 9:50 p.m., weighing 8 lbs. 2 oz. at the Health Sciences. Proud grandparents Jean and Ronald Coady and great-grandparents Jean and Dave Hudson and Doris Coady, numerous aunts & uncles and other relatives and friends welcome Kennedy. Special thanks to all the Doctors and staff of the caseroom and 5NB.

CRANE- Rick, Connie (Powell) and ‘furry’ siblings Tyler and Shilo are thrilled to announce the much anticipated arrival of their first child, Keegan William Crane, born on January 16, 2007 at 8:33 a.m., weighing in at a hefty 5 lbs. 14 oz. at Northern Lights Hospital in Fort McMurray, Alberta. Welcoming his arrival are proud grandparents Jimmy and Patsy Powell, Bill and Julie Crane, and Elaine Crane (Lloyd) and great-grandparents Charlie and Mary Powell. Keegan has 5 uncles, 2 aunts, 6 cousins and many great aunts and uncles who can’t wait to spoil him. Thanks to all our family and friends for your love and support. Keegan can’t wait to meet all of you in Newfoundland this summer. Many thanks to those who sent shower gifts, cards, flowers, phoned or e-mailed to congratulate us on the arrival of our precious little man. Special thank you to Daddy and Nanny Powell for all your love, support and fantastic care of Mommy and me.

DALEY - Chris and Cauleen are thrilled to announce the early, but safe, arrival of their precious little miracle, Tyson Christopher, born on January 16, 2007, weighing 6 lbs., 3½ ozs. Waiting to spoil him are proud grandparents, Benedict & Eileen Leonard of Southern Harbour and Aloysius & Laura Daley of St. Josephs. Thank you to the caseroom nurses, especially Lisa Patten. Thanks to Drs. Joanne White, Erica Howse and Sarah Healey. Thanks to our friends and family (aunts & uncles) who called and visited. Thanks to Nanny & Poppy Leonard for their continued love and support. Mommy would also like to say a special thanks to Daddy for his excellent support, care and love throughout pregnancy and delivery.

FISHER- Kevin and Suzanne (Goodland) are delighted to announce the early arrival of their baby boy, Samuel Michael Justin, born January 16th, 2007 at 6:42 a.m., weighing 6 lbs ½ oz. Samuel is welcomed by Poppy and Nanny (Kevin and Margaret) Coady, Grandpa and Grandma (Kevin and Kathryn) Fisher, Great-grand Uncle Thomas Stamp and angel Poppy (Justin) (Barney) Goodland. Also welcoming Sam's arrival are Uncle David (Jennifer) Goodland, Uncle Tim (Beverly) Fisher, Aunt Lisa (Fred) Phalen, Aunt Kathy Camire and cousins Stefanie, Katie, Juliana, Jenna, Keegan and Cody. Mommy would like to thank Daddy for his love, support and care during pregnancy, labor and delivery. FRENCH – Robert and Tonya would like to announce the birth of Noah Matthew on January 12, 2007, weighing 7 lbs. 12 ozs. and 51 cm long. Welcoming him are his brothers David and Kyle and extended family. Special thanks to Daddy, Dr. Roche, case room and 5NB staff.

FRENCH/BURKE – John and Kelly are delighted to announce the birth of their second child, Claire Rose, born at 11:03 p.m., January 22, 2007, weighing 8 lbs. 12 oz. at the Health Sciences Centre. Claire is welcomed by big brother, Liam, and by proud grandparents: Cheryl French, Jim and Rosemary Burke, and Vern and Maria French. A special thanks to all the wonderful staff at the caseroom for their care and encouragement.

GEORGE- Jerry and Roxanne are pleased to announce the birth of their baby girl, Emily Rachel, born on January 16, at 6:12 am weighing 8 lbs. A baby sister for big brother Luke. Proud grandparents are Daphne Bursey and Donald and Theresa George, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends that welcome baby Emily. Many thanks to the nurses and doctors in the caseroom for the safe delivery of the new addition to their family.

GRAHAM- Proud parents Laura (Gorman) and Andrew welcome to the world their precious son Benjamin James, born January 15th, 2007, weighing 8 lbs, 3 ozs. Benjamin is welcomed by many relatives and friends, including his favourite cousins Evan and Emma Natsheh and grandparents Gary and Cynthia Gorman and Carolyn and Adrian Graham. Mommy and Benjamin would like to send special thanks to Nanna Gorman for taking such good care of us while Daddy was away. Also, a special thank you to Dr. Patrick O’Shea for his excellent pre and post-natal care.

HOYLES- Chad and Rebecca Yetman (and fuzzy brother Sam) are delighted to announce the early but safe arrival of their precious baby boy, Aiden Alexander, born on January 1, 2007, 6:45 p.m. at the Women’s Health Center, NL, weighing 5 lbs. 8 ozs. Mommy would like to thank all the nurses in the case room as well as 5NB, also to Dr. LaSalle who gratefully made it there just in time for Aiden’s arrival. Mommy would also like to send lots of love to Daddy for all his strength and encouragement in the delivery room. “You’re our rock.” Welcoming Aiden are proud grandparents Mike Yetman and Monica Hoyles and great-grandmothers Betty Yetman (who shares Aiden’s birthday) and Viorene Hoyles. Watching Aiden from heaven are two guardian angels Nanny June Yetman and Poppy Ray Hoyles.

LEWIS/SIMPSON – Shannon and Toby would like to announce the birth of Sarah Victoria Lewis Simpson on 28 January at 0540, the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s. She weighed 7 lbs. 12 oz. at birth. Sarah is the first great-grandchild of Doris Young of Masonic Park (formerly Grand Falls). First-time grandparents are Bernard and Linda Lewis of Chapel’s Cove (formerly Holyrood). Sarah is looking forward to meeting her English grandparents, Fred and Mary Simpson of Felixstowe, Suffolk, along with her aunts and uncle there. Shannon and Toby would especially like to thank Drs. Whitty and Pike for their prenatal care, and Dr Colleen Cook for her considerate and sound care during labour and delivery. The nurses in the caseroom and 5NB are all simply excellent.

MCCARTHY (Greenland) – It’s a girl! Big brothers Benjamin and Matthew are delighted to announce the birth of their baby sister, Julia Mary, on January 17, 2007, at 2:10 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 11 ozs. Proud parents Joy and Charlie, grandparents Gail and Dave Hynes and Bridget McCarthy also celebrate our “Princess.” We wish to thank Dr. Patricia Roche for her excellent pre-natal care, Drs. Erika Howse and Joanne White and clinical clerk Gina Higgins for Julia’s safe (and fast) delivery. Special thanks to Darlene (10 minutes!) Fleming, ShiAnn Collins and Kathy Tilley (again!) for their help before, during and after Julia’s arrival.

McGRATH - Born on January 24, 2007, at Vancouver Women and Childrens’ Hospital to Patrick and Heather McGrath (nee Wellman), a daughter, Leah Jane, 7 lbs. 14 ozs. Granddaughter for John and Elizabeth McGrath, St. John’s and Larry Wellman, Goose Bay and Jane and Willie, Halifax. Great-granddaughter for Rose Wellman, Corner Brook, Leah Brett, Gander and Lot Brett, Fogo Island. Mother and baby well.

MEANEY- They’re finally here!! Woodrow and Johannah (Fowler) are delighted to announce the long awaited arrival of their beautiful twin baby boys on January 1, 2007 at the WHC. NATHAN WOODROW was born at 1:30 p.m. weighing 6 lbs. 3 ozs. followed by NOAH DANIEL at 1:36 p.m. weighing 5 lbs. 12.5 ozs. Welcoming Nathan and Noah are proud grandparents Woodrow and Eileen Meaney and Danny and Mary Fowler, as well as, many aunts, uncles and cousins. A heartfelt thank you to Dr. Sarah Healey for making this all possible and for her excellent prenatal care. Thanks to Dr. Roche, Dr. Collins and the case room nurses for a safe delivery and to the nurses on 5NB for their exceptional care. Mommy, Nathan and Noah would like to especially thank Daddy for all his love and support.

MORRIS– John and Christine (Lilly) are delighted to announce the birth of their son Jack Gordon. Jack was born at the Health Sciences Centre on Saturday January 20, 2007, at 9:27 a.m., weighing 8 lbs., 13.6 ozs. Jack is welcomed by proud first time great-grandfather, Jack Morris, and proud first time grandparents Peter and Theresa Morris and Augustus and Janet Lilly and uncle Stephen. Thanks to Dr. Tennant, Dr. Kabisios and all the wonderful nursing staff in the caseroom and on 5NB. Also, a very special thanks to Dr. Duggan for her wonderful prenatal care and her help and support during the labour and delivery

NEWHOOK - Barry and Jennifer are delighted to announce the arrival of their new baby son and a new little brother for Max, the wonderful and amazing Charles Leslie Walker Newhook. Charlie was born on January 12, 2007, at 4:28 p.m., weighing 8 lbs. and 4 ozs. Welcoming him with open hearts and arms are his grandparents Eleanor and Maynard Clouter, Nanny Alverna Newhook, Uncles Jon and Paul, Aunties Leigh Ann and Suny and his big cousins Henry, Kathleen, Ben and Sam. Looking over Charlie always will be his own special guardian angels Poppy Leslie Newhook and Great-Grandpa James Walker Bowman. RICKERT/PETTEN- Amanda and Robin are pleased to announce the arrival of their first child, Katie Amanda, born January 27, 2007, at 8:26 a.m., weighing 6 lbs. 1 oz. Proud grandparents are John and Paula Rickert and Effie Petten. Watching over Katie from heaven is Poppy Petten. A special thank you to Dr. Johanne Lacelle for her care during pregnancy and delivery and to the case room and 5NB nurses.

RICKETTS - Stephen and Sherri (Hoffe) are delighted to announce the arrival of their first child, a beautiful baby girl. Nicole Danielle, born January 28, 2007 at 11:21 p.m., weighing 8 lbs. 9 oz. Also beaming with joy are grandparents Peter and Donna Hoffe (Buchans, NL) and Edward and Daphne Ricketts (Fort McMurray, AB.) A very special thank you to our family and friends for all their support and encouragement. Also, a big thank you to Daddy and Grammy for being so wonderful to us and helping us through labor and delivery. RYAN/MCKIM-RYAN - Will & Sharon are extremely excited to announce the arrival of their handsome baby boy, Cohen Nathaniel Ryan. Weighing 6 lbs. 4 oz., Cohen was born at 4:29 a.m. on Wednesday, January 31st, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre in St. John’s. SILVER – Jason, Stacey and big brother Michael are thrilled to announce the arrival of Collin David, born January 19, 2007 at 1:54 a.m., weighing 8 lbs., 15 ounces at the WHC in St. John’s. Also welcoming Collin are grandparents Joseph and Patricia Silver and Levi and Jenny Willcott, all of Mount Pearl and uncles Ashley Willcott (Calgary) and Bryan Willcott (Halifax) and uncle and aunt Jeff and Krista Silver (CBS). SMITH - Clifford and Heather (Hunt) are tickled pink to announce the arrival of their first child, Sally Catherine, on Jan. 7, 2007 at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s. Along with many family members and friends and her feline brothers Cod and Oreo, Sally’s grandparents and great-grandparents are thrilled with their bundle of joy; Grandparents Charles and Mae Hunt, Hr. Grace and Mark and Alice Smith, Bishop’s Cove; Great-grandparents Meda Hunt, Hr. Grace, Rose Smith, Bishop’s Cove and Joe and Audrey Fitzpatrick, Bay Roberts. Mommy and Sally would like to thank Drs. Kirby and Pike for their prenatal care, and Drs. Healey, White, Fowler and Pridham for the safe delivery. A huge thank you to the wonderful staff of the case room and to Mommy’s colleagues on 5NB for the care provided before, during and after delivery. Sally would like to especially thank all of her family and friends who have showered her with lots of love, hugs, kisses and beautiful gifts since her arrival! Mommy would like to thank Daddy for his support and love throughout the pregnancy and in the weeks since Sally’s birth.

SULLIVAN- Dean and Dawn (Kavanagh) are thrilled to announce the early arrival of their first child, Noah Craig. Noah was born on January 8, 2007 at 6:55 p.m., weighing 4 lbs. 7 oz. Noah is welcomed by proud grandparents Robert and Theresa Kavanagh of St. John's along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Thank you to Dr. S. Healey and staff of the WHC at the HSC. SULLIVAN - Derek, Donna and big brother Parker are thrilled to welcome the birth of their second child, a beautiful baby girl. Casey Katherine Donna Sullivan was born at the Women's Health Centre in St. John's, on January 12, 2007 at 10:46 pm. Proudly celebrating her arrival are grandparents Carl and Margaret Sullivan and Roy and Betty Clarke. Special great-grandmas Katherine Sullivan and Rita Percy will watch over Casey from Heaven. Casey looks forward to playing with her brother, as well as Aunt Beverly, Uncle Dean and cousin Jordan Sullivan, her Aunt Robyn Sullivan, and her Aunt Olive, Uncle Darrell and cousins Stephanie and Lindsay Clarke of Whitby, ON. VEY- Chris and Della (Ryan) are thrilled to announce the birth of their precious baby girl, Jada Isabella. Jada was born on January 31st at 12:36pm, weighing 7lbs 9 ozs. WHITE/CAREY – Don, Lynette and big sister Sophia are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their newest addition, Courtney Anne, born January 5, 2007 @ 5:17 am, weighing 8 lbs. 6 oz. Courtney is the twelfth grandchild of Joan and Gerard White and the fifth grandchild of Barbara Carey and Ken White. Also welcoming Courtney is a large circle of family and friends. WILSON- Glen & Natasha (Collins) are the very proud new parents of their son Nathan Maxwell Wilson, born January 15th, 2007 in Calgary, AB, weighing 7 pounds 14 ounces. Nathan is welcomed with love from his proud grandparents Nelson & Theresa Collins, Don & Darlene Wilson, Kelly Wilson & many aunts, uncles, friends and other family.

YABSLEY – Peter and Jennifer (nee Smyth) are delighted to announce the birth of their first child, a beautiful baby girl. Emma Victoria was born on January 10th, 2007 at 12:25 am, weighing 9 lbs.13 oz. She is welcomed by proud grandparents Frank and Anne Marie Smyth and Dick and Paula Yabsley. Emma is the second great-grandchild for Mrs. Isabelle O’Brien and the fourth great-grandchild for Mrs. Marjorie Rogers. YETMAN - A little sister for Elizabeth! Gus and Michelle (Breen) are delighted to announce the birth of their second child, Olivia Claire Yetman. Olivia was born on January 19, 2007 at 8:09 p.m. and weighed 9 lbs. 8 oz. Proud grandparents are Michael and Barbara Breen and Henry and Margaret Yetman of St. Mary’s Bay.
