BOLAND-CASHIN- Lesley and Jason are thrilled to announce the arrival of their beautiful son, Aiden, born on July 5, 2007 at the WHC weighing 8 lbs. 8 ozs. First time grandparents are Paul and Leila Boland and Wayne and Lois Cashin. Also welcoming Aiden are proud Aunts and Uncles, Leanne, Scott, Jen, Lorne, Allison, Dale and first time great-grandparents Mary Boland, Vera Cashin and John and Jean Bastow. Special thanks to case room nurses Lorna Kearney and Ruth Martin.

CARTER- Kathleen (Doyle), Paul and big brother Michael are delighted to announce the birth of Lillian Kathleen Laura, born July 3, 2007, in St. John’s, weighing 7 lbs. 8 ozs. Grandparents are Maureen and the late John Doyle and Bernice and Graham Carter.

CROCKER/MESHER- Tom, Lisa and big brother Max are proud to announce the arrival of Jack Nicholas Crocker, born July 3, 2007, 9 lbs. 5 oz. Proud grandparents, Bert & Rosemary Crocker, Joan & Howard Harnum. Special thanks to Dr. Bartellas for his prenatal care, his attending staff, and Krista Brown for their patience. A heartfelt thanks to all the nurses who go above and beyond, who made my stay a little easier. Thank you Dr. Roche, Dr. Miller and Dr. White for the delivery. Also, I would like to thank all my family and friends for their help and support.

DAWE - James and Kimberly Dawe (nee Yates) are overjoyed to announce the arrival of their amazing baby boy, CALVIN JAMES. Calvin was born on the lucky day of 07-07-07 and weighed 6lbs. 7oz. Welcoming Calvin are proud grandparents Calvin and Carol Yates of PouchCove; James Dawe of Bay Roberts; and Helen and David Crawford of Torbay. Aunts Alexia, Katherine and Valery, Uncle Robert, and cousins Stacy and Carter are so happy Calvin has joined the family. Watching over Calvin are late great grandparents Lloyd and Florence Yates and Joseph and Florence Lambert. Mommy would like to thank Daddy and Nona for all their help in the delivery room. Calvin can't wait to go camping with his Daddy, and chopping wood with his new axe that Poppy Yates gave him.

DAWSON - A birthday present for Nanny Marshall! Stephen and Renée (Marshall) are thrilled to announce the arrival of Grace’s baby sister, Kathryn Mary Julia at the Health Sciences Centre on July 6, 2007. She is welcomed by grandparents Thomas and Bernice Marshall (Arnold’s Cove) and Mary MacDonald (Stephenville), late grandfather Glen MacDonald and Stephen Dawson Sr. Special thanks once again to Drs. Bartellas, Gill and Tina Squires.

HEDGES- Sherry Hedges and Chris Fifield are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Hailie Morgan Hedges, born Friday, July 13, 2007, at 3:23 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. 11 ozs. Proud grandparents are Sue and Gerry Hedges of Mt. Pearl, Rhonda Mackey of St. John’s, Dave (Irene) Fifield of St. John’s. Also welcoming Hailie is Aunt Kimmy, Uncle Dwayne and cousin Kiersten Snow, Uncle James (JJ) Fifield, Uncle Dave, Aunt Paulette and cousin Alana Fifield, three great-grandmas, one great-grandpa, a lot of other family and friends. Also great-grandpa Mackey is watching Hailie from above. Special thanks to Dr. J. Lacelle and the case room and 5SB for all their care.

JACOBS- Albert and Deanne (Downey) are delighted to announce the arrival of their first child, a boy. Aaron Christopher Dean, born July 28, 2007 at 12:08 am, weighing 8 lbs. Welcomed with love by grandparents Art and Shirley Downey (St. John’s) and Albert and Delphine Jacobs (Hant’s Harbour) as well as his aunts, uncles, and cousins. A very special thank you to Drs Heather Scott (Halifax), Patrick O’Shea, and Megan Robbins for all their care.

LANGDON/DROVER- Twins! Trent and Tammy are thrilled to announce the arrival of their beautiful boys, Noah Trent Frank, 5 lbs. 9 oz. and Riley Trent Cyril, 6 lbs. 7 oz., born July 6, 2007. Welcoming Noah and Riley are proud grandparents Cyril and Eva Langdon, and Frank and Ethel Drover of Norris Arm, first time Uncle Christopher and many friends and family. Thanks to Dr. Pike, Dr. House, Beverley and the nurses of 5NB. Special thanks to Daddy for his love and support.

LEBLANC/BULGIN - Joshua and Tara are thrilled to announce the arrival of their son, Sawyer Richard Bulgin LeBlanc, born July 18th, 2007, weighing 8 lbs. 11½ oz. Ecstatic grandparents are Cyril and Pam Bulgin of St. John's, and Richard and Barbara LeBlanc of Yarmouth, NS. Also welcoming Sawyer are great grandparents, Harold Parsons of Mt. Pearl, and MacCallum and Patricia Sherman of Berwick, NS; aunts and uncles, Genevieve and Paul, Jessica and John, and Sarah; cousin Danny; as well as many other friends and family. Special thanks to Dr. Patrick O'Shea, Dr. Meghan Robbins, and the caseroom nurses at the HSC.

LOCKE - Matthew and Cindy Locke are delighted to announce the arrival of their first child, a beautiful baby girl, Ava Laura Marguerite. Ava was born July 25, 2007 at 9:30 a.m. via c-section at the Health Sciences Centre. Welcoming Ava are first time grandparents, Paul and Carol Squires, and fifth-time grandparents, Ted and Claudette Locke. Special thanks to all our family and friends. We would also like to thank Dr. Pike for her care throughout the pregnancy, Dr. Kum for the safe delivery of Ava, and the nurses in the case room and on 5NB.

LONDON - Greg and Paige (nee Yabsley) are proud to announce the birth of their daughter, Katherine Paige, on July 20, 2007 at 5:55 p.m., weighing 7 lbs. 2 oz. Kate is especially welcomed by her sister and very special friend Sydney, who is so delighted to have a little sister! Also welcoming Kate are proud grandparents Dick and Paula Yabsley, Dwight and Karen Conwell, and Paul and Judy London; great-grandmothers Marjorie Rogers and Geraldine Logan; aunts and uncles: Jillian (Chris), Peter (Jennifer) and Heather; and cousins Chloe, Ciara, Nathan, Jane and Emma. We would like to extend a very special thank you to Dr. O’Shea and Dr. Robbins for their ongoing care and support, and to Nurse Roxane Jackson for being such a great coach! To all of our family and friends - your continued support and excitement means so much to us during this truly special time in our lives - thank you!!

MAHON - Margaret and Robert Mahon welcome their baby girl. Helen Rose was born on July 24, 2007, at 1:02 p.m., weighing 5 lbs. 1 oz. First grandchild for Edna and Wilson Hudson; thirty-sixth great-grandchild for Hazel Chafe, Petty Harbour. Sending blessings from Heaven are grandparents Helen and Patrick Mahon. Thank you to everyone who helped out Mom, Dad, and Helen Rose.

MALONEY- Doug, Elizabeth (Puddister), cousin Andrew and big brother Patrick are thrilled to announce the arrival of Michelle Helen Mary Elizabeth. Michelle was born on July 16, 2007 at 9:16 a.m., weighing 8 lbs., 6 oz. at the Women’s Health Centre, St. John’s. Michelle is welcomed by grandmother Marjorie Puddister. Watching over Michelle from heaven is Poppy Mike Puddister and Poppy Doug and Nanny Helen Maloney.

O’BRIEN- “Mommy’s little princess, Daddy’s little angel”. Tracy (Willcott) & Chris are overjoyed to announce the arrival of their first child, a beautiful baby girl, Ava Danielle. Ava was born at the WHC at 10:43 a.m. on July 29, 2007, weighing 6 lbs. 11 ozs. With grandfathers Ronald O’Brien and Daniel Willcott as her guardian angels, Ava was welcomed by her proud grandmothers Carmelita O’Brien, St. John’s, and Judy Willcott, Milltown. Special thanks to Dr. Strand, Dr. Bartellas, and the nurses of the case room and 5NB for their care and attention.

OSBORNE/HATFIELD - Proud parents Philip Osborne and Kerry Hatfield of St. John’s are thrilled to announce the arrival of their precious daughter Megan Ruth, born July 28, 2007. Welcoming Megan are grandparents Tom and Sheila Osborne of St. John’s, Hilda MacVicar of Sussex, New Brunswick, numerous aunts and uncles and many adoring cousins. Many thanks to our family and friends for all of their love, support and best wishes.

POWER- Stephen and Paula (Hagerty) are thrilled to announce the arrival of their first child, Ethan John, born 11:54 a.m. on July 17th, 2007, weighing 9 Ibs. 4 ozs. Proud grandparents John and Donna Hagerty of St. John’s and Ron Power of St. John’s. Ethan would like to give hugs and kisses to Nanny Mary Power who is watching over him from heaven. Great-grandparents Margaret Hagerty (St. John’s), Marie Buote (Brantford, Ontario) and Angela Power (Broad Cove). Anxiously awaiting Ethan’s arrival were his special cousins Shayne, Ashley, Brianna, Seamus and Kian. Special thanks to the wonderful doctors and nurses who assisted with Ethan’s labour and delivery. A big thank you to all our family and friends for their love and support during Ethan’s birth.

RICHARDS- Morgan & Gail (Cumbie), are delighted to announce the late but safe arrival of their son, Henry Walter, born July 21, 2007 @ 10:22 a.m., weighing 9 lbs., 4 oz., at the WHC. Henry is welcomed by proud grandparents, John and Kathleen Cumbie (CBS), Mae Richards (St. Carols), and great-grandmother, Delphine Richards (St. Anthony). Looking down from Heaven with love is Poppy Clifford. Special thanks are given to the Case Room nurses, especially Tammy and Dawn for their exceptional care, and to the nursing staff of 5NB. A sincere thank you is extended to Dr. Megan Robbins for her superb care of both Mom and Henry throughout pregnancy and delivery. Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to our family, friends and co-workers for their love and support during this wonderful time in our lives, every gesture and kind word were deeply appreciated.

SAUNDERS- Blair, Danielle (Spurrell) and big brother Tristin, are thrilled with the arrival of their precious twins, Joshua George, 5 lbs. 13 oz. and Julia Lilly, 4 lbs. 10 oz., born on July 24, 2007. Proud grandparents are Glen and Carmel Saunders and Cecil and Imelda Spurrell. Great-grandparents are George and Mary Saunders, Susie Greeley and Peter Walsh. Aunts and uncles are Jennifer, Steven, Darlene and Dino, Lisa and Greg, Scott and Heather, Michelle and Chris. Cousins are Ryan, Nathan, Noah, Luke, Avery and Owen. A special thanks to nurse Christina Angelopoulos for being such a great friend and her presence during the delivery was greatly appreciated. Thanks to Nanny and Poppy Saunders and Nanny and Poppy Spurrell for all your support. A special thanks to Daddy for all of his love and support during this wonderful experience.

SQUIRES- Rodney and Frances (nee Thoms) are thrilled to announce the birth of their beautiful baby boy Malcolm Viktor Paul. He was born on July 20th, 2007 at the Health Sciences Center, weighing in at 7lbs 6ounces. Malcolm is welcomed into the world by big sister Nadyezhda, proud Grandparents Calvin and Daphne Squires of St. John's, and Paul and Elsie Thoms of Gambo. A special thank you to nurses Lorna Kearney and Karen Fanning, doctors Cherry Pike, Krista Browne and Matthew Langdon, Auntie Janice, and the Newfoundland Drive send off crew.

STINSON- David and Lana (Littlejohn) are thrilled to announce the early but safe arrival of their twins Allison Catherine and Andrew Ryan born July 12, 2007 at the WHC in St. John’s. Allison (3lbs 4oz) and Andrew (4lbs 12oz) are the grandchildren of David & Mary-Lou Stinson and Thomas & Suzanne Littlejohn, all of St. John’s. Special thanks are extended to Dr. Teresa O’Grady for her exemplary prenatal care - your support will never be forgotten. We must also thank the Caseroom nurses and Drs Colleen Cook, Stephanie Fowler and Elias Bartellas for the safe delivery of our precious little ones. Too, we must note the unbelievable nurturing and attention given to Allison and Andrew by the nurses and staff of the Janeway’s NICU where they were required to stay for 26 days. Your incredible care for Allison and Andrew and support to “the Mommy and Daddy” touched us deeply.

SUMMERS/MORRY- Darrell & Kelly are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their beautiful daughter, Raina Taylor, born on July 13, 2007 weighing 8 lbs. 3½ ozs. Welcoming Raina are first-time grandparents Shirley O'Brien & Adrien Duguay & Jack & Margaret Morry and fourth-time grandparents Florence Summers & Leonard Connors. Watching over Raina from heaven is Poppy Bob West. Mommy & Raina would like to thank daddy for all his love and support.

WOOLRIDGE- Proud new parents Dr. Craig Woolridge and Dr. Debbie Delaney welcome the early arrival of their precious, beautiful baby girl. Sophia Patricia Woolridge was born two months early on July 12 at 1:10 a.m., weighing 2 lbs. 7 ozs. and measuring 15 inches in length. Welcoming Sophia are proud grandmother Daphne Woolridge of Grand Falls-Windsor and grandparents Dan and Patricia Delaney of Gull Island, Conception Bay. Special thanks to Dr. Agboola and Nurse Pam Pelley at the Central Newfoundland Regional Health Centre in Grand Falls-Windsor and to Dr. Colleen Cook and Dr. Sarah Healy for the safe delivery of Sophia. A heartfelt thanks to the doctors and caseroom nurses at the Health Science Centre in St. John’s for their care and personal touch in Dr. Delaney’s recovery, especially Dr. Erika Fowler. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses of NICU for all the TLC they gave Sophia during her stay. We would like to extend our gratitude and appreciation to all our family and friends for their prayers, love and support that helped us through such stressful times. Thank you for all the warm wishes and gifts for Sophia. She is our little miracle!
