Megan Shannon Kieley was recently presented with an Academy Award for her outstanding performance in the highly acclaimed "Birth of a Daughter". Megan, whose previous credits included "Trimester 1, 11 and 111-The Trilogy", "Womb with a View" and most recently, "Leaving Placentia Bay", played the part of a 7 lb. 15 ozs, newborn. The awards ceremony took place 5 pm., Monday, July 12, 1999 at the magnificent Grace Auditorium. Megan credited her performance to her parents Rob and Paula Kieley for their strong support throughout the grueling 9 month filming schedule. She was also quoted as saying, "This would not have been possible without a strong supporting cast, especially the actors who played Drs. Healey, O'Grady and the case room staff!" While grandparents Robert and Helen Kieley and Great Aunt Winnie Shea marveled at Megan's performance, they feel we will even be more impressed with her in the upcoming saga "I Cry- You Jump". After a few weeks of rest, parents Rob and Paula plan to celebrate with friends at the premiere of their own adventure flick -"Lamb Chops and CERONA Go To A Picnic".
