June 2007

 

CODNER - Chad and Jennifer are delighted to annouce the arrival of their little man Luke William. Luke was born June 19th, 2007 @ 3:49 pm weighing 6lbs 13oz. Proud grandparents welcoming Luke are Arnold and Donna Codner of Outer Cove and Kevin and Diane Miller of Marystown. Also welcoming Luke is Great Grandpoppy Miller; Great Grandparents Emberley in Marystown; Uncle Rodney and Aunt Anna Codner and Uncle Kevin Miller and Uncle Roger Miller. Mommy and Daddy would like to thank Dr. Howse and all the nurses who helped during delivery and Luke's stay in the NICU. Also, a big thank-you to all of our family and friends for all your well wishes.

HILDEBRAND-HOBBS- Kellie and Clayton are thrilled to announce the birth of their first child, Jake Clayton, born June 1, 2007, in Grande Prairie, AB, weighing 7 lbs. 12 ozs. Welcoming Jake are proud grandparents Steve and Sandy Hobbs, Paradise, Elemer Hildebrand, Morse, SK, and Mary Hildebrand, Regina, SK, Uncles Rod Hobbs (Ginny), John Hildebrand, Eon Hildebrand, great-grandparents Pearl Froude, Chamberlains, Hubert and Doreen Hobbs, St. John’s, and many family and friends.

HYNES - It’s a Girl! Darrell and Kelly (Coish) Hynes are thrilled to announce the early arrival of their first child, Maggie Elizabeth, weighing 2 lbs. 15 ozs, on June 27, 2007. We would like to especially thank Dr. Sara Healey for her excellent pre-natal care. Thanks to the nurses of 5NB, especially Rose, for all their care during Mom's extended stay. Special thanks to Sue from the MFAU for her encouragement and Drs. Roche and Carpenter for a safe delivery. As Maggie spent 2 months at the NICU, we would like to say a very special thank you to Dr. Downton and all the staff there for Maggie’s excellent care and their support for Mom and Dad. Finally, we would like to express our gratitude to our family, friends and co-workers for their prayers, well wishes, gifts & visits during this time. We are truly blessed to have our precious little girl home and healthy.

MATTHEWS- TRIPLETS! Michael and Darlene Matthews are thrilled to finally announce the birth of their beautiful and precious triplet, fraternal boys (Albert Noah, Benjamin Douglas and Gavin Michael) born on June 1, 2007. Albert is the eldest, weighing in at 3 lbs. 10 ozs. at 10:29 a.m., Benjamin 4 lbs. 4 ozs. at 10:31 a.m. and Gavin 3 lbs. 13 ozs. at 10:32 a.m. The boys are welcomed by very proud first-time grandparents Byron and Phyllis Matthews, Jabe and Sylvia LeGrow; great-grandparents Mrs. Phyllis Matthews and Mrs. Mecco Butler; along with a large number of family and friends. Due to arriving 10 weeks early, the boys had an extended stay at the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Janeway Hospital and have all been home together for a month. We would like to thank Dr. Pike and her staff (especially Michelle) for all their care, attention and support along with the wonderful staff and nurses from 5 South B, the case room (Aunt Lisa and Bev), and NICU. We would like to thank everyone (too numerous to mention) who have given their support, time and loving attention in caring for the boys. Without great family and friends, this adventure would not be possible.
A new baby is like the beginning of all things - wonder, hope, a dream of possibilities.

MOSS (Adams)- Paul and Riley joyfully announce the birth of Samuel Isaac at Corner Brook on June 10, 2007. Welcoming Sam are big sister Alexandrea, grandparents Donna Adams and Paul Adams of St. John’s and Wade and Ruby Moss of Deer Lake.

PETERS- Nicole and Mark are pleased to announce the birth of their third child, Elliott Thomas Peters, weighing 8 pounds 12 ounces. Elliott was born in St. John’s at 4:43 am on June 30th, 2007. Excitedly greeting Elliott are his curious big sister Clara, proud big brother Lewis, Grandparents Wayne & Christine Williams of Torbay and Geoff & Deanne Peters of St. John’s, and his Great-Grandmother Sarah Power of Chapel Arm. Elliott looks forward to learning to kayak with Uncle Gordon, playing video games with Uncle Brian, picking blueberries with Aunt Heather & Uncle Sean, and camping at site 84 in Terra Nova.

SQUIRES- Ten tiny fingers and ten tiny toes, gorgeous blue eyes and the cutest button nose. Scott, Christy, and big brother Evan are tickled blue to announce the arrival of our newest precious bundle, Chad Myrick Squires, born on July 19, 2007 weighing 8 lbs. 1 oz. Chad is also welcomed by proud grandparents: Marguerite and Brian Payne and Glenys and Aubrey Squires; great-grandparents: Irene Payne and Vida Reardon, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Thanks to Dr. Strand and Dr. Parsons for excellent prenatal care and the doctors and nurses in the case room and 5 NB. Special thanks to Daddy for all of his love and support during the pregnancy and delivery.

VAVASOUR- Andrew and Kathy (Rossiter) are thrilled to announce the arrival of their daughter, Emma Kathryn, born at 9:27 pm on June 28, 2007, weighing 8 lbs. 14 oz. Also welcoming Emma are proud grandparents Jim and Gail Vavasour, and Lar and Alice Rossiter, and great-grandmother Madge Doyle. A sincere thank you to Dr. Fitzgerald and Dr. Howse for their excellent prenatal care, and to the wonderful nurses and doctors in the caseroom and 5NB for their help during and after delivery. Emma and Mommy would also like to give a special thank you to Daddy and Nana for their love and support during delivery.

WHELAN- Scott, Michelle (Sullivan) and big sister Isabella are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their precious baby girl Sophia Marie born June 18, 2007 at the Women’s Health Centre, weighing 7 lbs. 14 ozs. With Nanny Louise as her guardian angel Sophia was welcomed by her proud grandparents Bill Sullivan and Jerry and Marie Whelan. She is also the seventh great-grandchild for Lester and Gertrude Snelgrove. Thank you will never be enough to Dr. Patricia Roche, your attention and care will always be remembered. Thank you to all the staff in the caseroom, and 5 North B and especially to the dedicated ladies of the PNHCP. Isabella misses your visits! Sophia and Mommy would also like to give Daddy a big hug and kiss. Once again you proved why you are simply the best!
