BOLAND - Keith, Alison and big sister Brooke are thrilled to announce the birth of Riley Alexandra. In the words of a five-year old…Mommy and I couldn't figure out what to get my Daddy for his birthday. We thought about it for a long time. We all got a BIG surprise on his birthday, June 8th, 2009, when my baby sister Riley arrived 5 weeks early. Mommy said she would have saved herself $200 on paintball gear if she had known Daddy would be getting a new daughter on his birthday! Riley was born at 10:54 am and weighed 5 lbs 9 oz. My Nana and Poppa in Cape Breton (Edwin and Bertha MacLeod) and my Nanny and Poppy in St. John's (Clyde and Frances Boland) are happy to have another granddaughter. Thanks for all the cool gifts and thanks to Daddy for taking care of me while Mommy and Riley were in the hospital.

BONNELL - York Bonnell is pleased to announce the birth of his baby sister, Nanea Emma Wayne Bonnell, at Mt Sinai Hospital in New York City on Wednesday, June 17, 2009. York and his parents, Scott Bonnell and Kaena Clark, are thrilled and humbled to have Nea in their world. Nea is eager to meet her Newfoundland family, which includes Grandparents Aubrey and Eleanor Bonnell, Great Nanny "B" Minnie Bonnell, Great-Aunt Louise Dawe, Great-Great-Aunt Marguerite Dawe and a host of other Bonnells, Dawes, Harrises, Pieroways and many others. Nea also hopes to soon meet her Aunt Denise Mullett, Uncle Steve Bonnell and cousins Evan and Isaek who currently reside in Indonesia. We all look forward to following Nea

BURSEY - I'm here! Scott, Denika and big brothers Brandon and Brody are happy to announce the safe arrival of Piper Dawn at Barrie's Royal Victoria Hospital on June 24, 2009, weighing 8 lbs. 8 ozs. Also welcoming Piper are grandparents John & Hilda Bursey of Chamberlains, NL.; Marvin & Carol Degazio and Susan & Clark Quinlan, of Ontario, as well as aunts, uncles & cousins.

CHURCHILL - Amanda Gough is proud to present to the world her little baby sister, Olivia Patricia Churchill, born June 2, 2009. Proud parents Brian and Michelle are blessed to have such beautiful girls. Special thanks to the care unit staff at the Janeway in bringing "Little O" to us five weeks early. Nanny and Poppy, Patricia and Allan, watch from heaven over little Olivia.

CLARKE - "Move over Eldrick - Here comes Oldric!" Oldric Noel William Clarke moved into 1st place in our world ranking on June 8th, 2009, at 2:58 a.m., HSC, weighing 7 lbs. 4 ozs. Big Sister Elizabeth is the premiere caddy, while Mommy keeps him clean and hydrated, sometimes around the clock. Coach Dad started training him at 1 month in the Jungle Gym and most recently the Exersaucer. Sister Elizabeth, Mommy Deanna and Dad Noel are very happy to make this announcement. Oldric is the grandson of Elizabeth Clarke and the late Norman Oldric Clarke of Norris Point and Greta and Chesley Parsons of Corner Brook. A special thank you to Aunt Evelyn, the Nurses at HSC and Dr. Sean Murphy for their important role in Oldric's debut.

DOWNTON-OAKE - Laura Downton and Chad Oake are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their precious son, Maddox Stanley. Born at the HSC on June 22, 2009, at 8:34 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 8 oz. Welcoming Maddox to the family are proud first time grandparents Rowena and Terry Oake, third time grandparents Gwen and Gord Downton. Great-grandparents Lillian Clarke, Hilda Oake and Sadie McLean.

EARLE - Allison, Jonathan and big sister Julia are very happy to announce the arrival of Matthew William Charles. Matthew was born on June 13th, 2009, at 2:53 a.m., weighing 7 lbs. 5 ozs. Welcoming Matthew are grandparents Julia and Chuck Hobeika and Claudia and Randell Earle, great-grandfather Lawrence Hiscock, as well as a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. O'Shea for his prenatal care, Dr. Duggan for a speedy delivery, case room nurses Millie and Lisa and the nursing staff of 5NB.

EVANS - Mark and Helena (Hewitt) are thrilled to announce the birth of their first child. Madison Helena arrived on June 23, 2009 at 11:19 am, weighing 8 lbs. 3.9 ozs, and measuring 20.5 inches. Welcoming Madison are proud grandparents Richard and Anne Hewitt, Rosemarie Evans and Joe Farewell, and her special guardian angel, poppy Jim Evans. Also sharing in the joy are Uncle Neil and Aunt Michelle, Uncle Jason, Aunt Cheryl and Uncle Paul, special cousins Ava and Taylor, and a large circle of family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. White and the nursing staff at the HSC for their excellent care.

GEAR/RYALL - "Little yawns, sleepy sighs, nursery rhymes and lullabies. Tiny hands, tiny feet, there is someone new for you all to meet!" Proud first-time parents Melanie Gear and Tony Ryall are delighted to announce the birth of their handsome baby boy, Joshua Patrick Ryall. Joshua surprised everyone, making his early entrance into the world on June 14, 2009 at 9:11 a.m., weighing 5 lbs. Welcoming their first grandchild, are excited grandparents Pat and Kay Ryall, and Kevin and Shirley Gear. Also sharing in the joy are Uncle Philip and Aunt Melissa, and a large circle of family and friends. Thank you to the Doctors and nurses of the Case Room, who helped make Joshua's arrival a safe one, and to Dr. Joanne White for her pre-natal care. Most importantly, a very special thanks and heartfelt appreciation to the wonderful nurses at the NICU for the care and support given to Joshua, Mommy and Daddy during Joshua's hospital stay. You do an exceptional job each and every day!!

KIRBY - With joy and gratitude for another dream come true, we introduce our sweet little girl - Jane Margaret Kirby. Born June 15th, 2009, on her big brother Scott's 3rd birthday! Weighing in at 7 pounds and measuring 48.5 cm in length. Other members of her proud family include parents Mark and Colleen (Rossiter), grandparents Loretta & Andy Forsyth, Bill & Gail Kirby and Ron Rossiter. Jane is also welcomed by her aunts, uncles, cousins, and a large circle of special friends & neighbours. We are forever thankful to Dr. Elias Bartellas for yet another skillful delivery, as well as to Drs. Andrew Major & Steve Crummey. Heartfelt thanks to nurse & family friend Denise Maher for her extra special attention to us during Jane's delivery. Thank you to all our co-workers especially Drs. Saunders, Robbins, Efford and Matthews. To our families - thank you for all of your help and continued love and support - it is greatly appreciated! XO

KWABIAH - Allan and Debbie are pleased to announce the early, safe arrival of Allan Benjamin II (Benjamin) on June 23, 2009. A little brother for Rebecca and Michael. Delighted grandparents are Charlie and Winnie Tuck of CBS. Many thanks to the doctors and nurses for their excellent care.

LEGROW - Paul and Heather (Decker) are overjoyed to announce the birth of their first child, Benjamin Louis, born on June 3, 2009, weighing 9 lbs. 12 ozs. Proudly welcoming Benjamin are the happy grandparents: Rosalind and Keith Decker and Jocelyn LeGrow. Also welcoming Benjamin are aunt Dawn, uncle Mike and cousins Eileen, Tynan, Kelly, Kymn and Peggy.

McCARTHY - Bob, Nicole (Philpott), Aiden, and Claire are very happy to announce the arrival of Sarah Catherine born June 3, 2009, weighing 8 lbs 14 ozs. Welcoming Sarah are proud grandparents Nick & Francis Philpott and Tom & Betty McCarthy and many aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends. Special thanks to Dr. Cherry Pike and the great nursing staff at the HSC.

MELVIN-WINDSOR - Jana & Steven are happy to announce the birth of their beautiful little girl, Taylor Emily, born at the HSC on June 15th/09, weighting 8 lbs, first grandchild for Algy & Anne Windsor, 5th grandchild for Gertie Melvin (Poppy Ron Melvin, watching over from heaven) great-grandmothers.Jessie Sweeney, Anna Windsor & Madeline Hawkins, lots of loving aunties, uncles & cousins. We love you princess.

MULLETT - Victor, Sherry, Emma and Grace would like to announce the newest member of our family - Sophia Ruth. Sophia was born June 27, 2009 and weighed 11 lbs. 5 oz. Also welcoming Sophia is her Nanny Daphne Howell and watching him from heaven are her Grandparents Victor and Mary Mullett. Thank-you to all the staff at the WHC for your care.

NEWELL - It's a Girl! Rudy and Cindy (nee Hunt) are very excited to welcome the safe arrival of their first child, Paige Madison Newell - Born, June 1, 2009, at HSC in St. John's, weighing 8 lbs. 10 oz. Proud Grandparents are Doris and Fraser Gillingham; Judy and Ed Newell; Kevin Hunt and Marion Butler. Also welcoming Paige are her Great-Grandmothers Hilda Carberry and Elizabeth Rumsey and a large circle of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Cindy and Ruby extend special thanks to friends and family; Dr. Gill and his team, the nurses at 5NB, the staff at the Women's Health Clinic; Corrine Bursey, Olive Goobie and Linda Redfern.

O'REILLY (nee Dixon) - Dayna and Sean are delighted to announce the birth of their precious son, Benjamin Gordon, born on June 1, 2009, weighing 6 lbs. 9 ozs. Proudly welcoming Benjamin are his elated grandparents: Gloria Dixon and the late Gordon Thompson, Conception Bay South, and John and Betty O'Reilly, St. John's; great-grandmothers: Julia Dixon and Ethel Thompson. Special thanks to the doctors and a very special thank you to nurse Joan Dalton and all case room staff.

PENNEY-HANCOCK - Jada Clara Teresa has arrived! She was born at 3:18 p.m. on Saturday, June 20, 2009. She weighed 7 lbs., 2.5 ozs. and was a whopping 48 cm! She is the beautiful baby girl of Amy Hancock and Bobby Penney. Her overjoyed grandparents are David Hancock & Sandra Boland and Bonnie & Gene Penney. Her special aunts are Kayla Hancock & Gina Penney & proud great-grandparents are Harold & Ruby Hancock, Mary Boland & Anitta Halleran. And let's not forget proud Godfather Clint Halleran and everyone else in the Penney & Hancock families. Special thanks to the Maternity and Neo-natal staff at the Health Sciences Centre.

PHILPOTT - Joseph and Kelli (Brown) are thrilled to announce the arrival of their beautiful baby girl, Charlotte Jane, born on June 2nd, 2009 weighing 5 lbs. 10 ozs. Also welcoming Charlotte are proud grandparents Judy and Gary Brown and Wilma and Brendan Philpott, Uncle Steve, Aunt Cathy, Aunt Leah, Uncle Mark and big cousins Madison and Noah. Special thanks to Dr. Pike, Dr. Brown and the nurses of 5NB, HSC.

PIERCEY - Proud parents Jeff and Susan (Moore) are thrilled to announce the birth of their baby boy, Benjamin James Robert. Ben was born at the HSC on June 16, 2009, at 7:10 am, weighing 8 lbs. 3 oz. Welcoming Ben are his delighted first-time grandparents Clara Moore, St. John's and Bram & Cynthia Piercey, Bareneed, as well as his loving aunts and uncles and many other family members and friends. Mom and Dad want to thank Dr. Pike and nurses Joan (caseroom) and Loretta (5NB) for all their kindness and support.

PYE/CURRAN - Stephen and Jill are delighted to announce the arrival of John Hugh Pye born on June 6, 2009, a healthy boy weighing 8 lbs. 15 oz. John is welcomed by many family & friends in Ferryland, including grandparents Jerome & Dolores Curran, Aunt & Godmother Julie, Uncle Martin, Aunt Jillian and Cousin Chase, Uncle Eamonn and Godfather Stephen Doyle, and furry friend Tippy. In New Zealand proud grandparents Dianne Pye, David & Leigh Pye, Aunts Helen & Vikki and Uncle Nathan and lots of cousins and family are all anxiously awaiting to meet John. Special thanks for John's safe delivery to Dr. Collins and Dr. Hartmann and Nurses Connie and Ramona.

SLADE/EDDY- Cynthia and Trevor and furry siblings Brandy, Milo and Seamus are happy to announce the newest addition to their family. Lauren Elizabeth was born on June 8, 2009, weighing 5 lbs. 8 ozs. Special thanks and appreciation go to Drs. O'Grady, Healey, Cook, Robbins and Kennedy, nurses Darlene and Rochelle, our case room nurses and 5NB nurses, including Flora Eddy, who provided such great care. Lauren is welcomed by grandparents Ettie and Berkley Slade and Dora and Willis Eddy as well as many aunts and uncles who patiently waited her arrival.

SOOLEY - Kristi (Mercer) and Darren and big brother, Nathan, are tickled pink to announce the safe arrival of their "little princess," Ella Christina. Ella wasted no time almost arriving on the Trans-Canada Highway on June 27, 2009! Ella tipped the scales weighing in at 8 lbs., 4 1/4 oz. and measuring 51 cms. long! Welcoming Ella are her proud second time grandparents, Clarence and Shelagh Mercer and Edward and Daphne Sooley and great-grandmother, Evelyn Reader. Also welcoming Ella are her proud Aunts and Uncles, Heather (Les) and Shawn (Misha), her feline siblings Vester and Syd, as well as many other excited relatives and friends! Special thanks to Dr. Sarah Healey for her excellent prenatal care, the caseroom staff for a safe and speedy delivery, and the staff on 5NB. Mommy would also like to thank Daddy for his Nascar driving skills in getting us to the hospital just in the nick of time!

WILLIAMS - Big sisters Jane and Kate, along with Mommy and Daddy (Cathey and Brent) proudly announce the arrival of two little boys. Luke Peter and Matt Lambert were born June 18, 2009, weighing 7 lbs. each. Also welcoming "The Boys" are grandparents Roberta and Lambert Hughes and Kathleen and Peter Williams. A very special thanks to Dr. Heidi Kravitz for her exceptional prenatal care and support, along with Dr. White, Dr. Mullaly and the nurses of the case room and 5th Floor.

WISEMAN - Mommy and Daddy's little ninja has arrived! Robbie and Nikki Wiseman are proud to announce the birth of their 1st child. Danika Beth Wiseman was born on June 4, 2009 at 7:14 pm at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John's, NL, weighing 8 lbs 3 oz. Proud of her arrival are grandparents Ed and Mary Hynes and first-time grandparents Jim and Elizabeth Wiseman. Great-grandmothers are Loretta Hynes and Annie Benmore. Loving aunt, uncles and cousins are Eddie, Rennie, Hilary, Blake and cousin-to-be Hynes and Jason Wiseman. Thank you to all hospital staff, especially nurse Regina.

YOUDEN - Greg and Heather (Regular) and big brother Mark are proud to announce the arrival of Alex Gregory on June 22, 2009 at 10:17 am, weighing 7 lbs. 7 oz. Welcoming Alex are extremely proud Grandparents Don and Pat Regular of Harbour Grace and Doug and Mary Youden of St. John's. Alex is also welcomed by Great-Grandmothers Goldie Sheppard and Hazel Regular along with many other family and friends.
