Boy, Oh Boy. IT'S A BOY!
Roger, Arlene and big sis Makala are thrilled to announce Nathan Riley to the Butler family. Our bundle of joy arrived March 5th, 2001, weighing 9 lbs. 4 ozs. Stephen and Cheryl (Dunphy) are pleased to announce the arrival of a second son and little brother for Dennis. Ryan Stephen was born at the Janeway, HSC, on Friday, March 9th, 2001, at 8:36 am. He weighed 8 lbs. 8 ozs. Proud grandparents are Arthur and Marie Cook and great-grandmother Jennie Cook, as well as Patrick and Helen Dunphy. We would like to thank Dr. Mary Watson and Dr. Heidi Kravitz for their prenatal care as well as the caseroom and maternity floor doctors, nurses and staff.

Big brother Bradley is thrilled to finally announce the arrival of his baby sister, Jenna Theresa. Born March 29th, 2001 at 8:23 am., weighing 9 lbs. ½ oz. Mike and Michele (nee Hillier) and big brothers Christopher (3 ½) years and Riley (21 months) are thrilled to announce the latest addition to their family. Jeffrey James was born at Soldier's Memorial Hospital, Middleton, NS., March 29th, 2001, at 7:24 pm., weighing 8 lbs. 11 ozs. Jeffery is welcomed by grandparents Neil and Marty Hillier, Whitbourne, and Mick and Mona Fewer, Lakeview. Gates
On March 21st, 2001 at 10:45 pm., our third son, Macauley Gabriel Bennett made his dramatic entrance, enriching our family and surprising the caseroom staff (sorry Michelle, but you did a great job). Zachary and Jeremy welcome their little brother and Mom (Myra), Dad (Rocky) are ecstatic. We thank family, friends and medical staff for their love and support.

Harris / Benson
Rachel and Rebecca, daughters of Stephen and Gillian Harris, are extremely proud to announce the birth of their baby brother. Andrew Ryan safely arrived at the Health Sciences Centre on March 18th, 2001, at 4:12 pm., weighing 8 lbs. 1 oz. A grandson to Rev. Gerald and Ruth Benson and Elmer and Joan Harris. Special thanks to Dr. Patrick O'Shea for a safe delivery.

Hearn / O'Reilly
Don and Kathy Lee (nee O'Reilly) are delighted to announce the arrival of their son, Jack Michael at 6:06 pm on Thursday, March 8th, 2001 at Western Memorial Regional Hospital in Corner Brook. Jack weighed in at 8 lbs. 2 ozs., and measured 21 ½ inches. Thrilled grandparents for the first time are Annav and the late Mike O'Reilly, for the tenth time Jim and Bessie Hearn.

Peter Hearns and Cheryl Stephenson-Hearns are tickled pink to announce the safe arrival of their first child, a precious baby girl Lauren Elizabeth, born at the Women's Health Centre-Health Sciences Centre at 11:13 pm on Friday, March 30th, 2001, weighing 7 lbs. 7 ozs. Also welcoming little Lauren are proud grandparents John and Greta Stephenson and Gilda Hearns and Leonard Hearns, as well as special Aunties, Uncles and Cousins Wendy, Roger and Rebecca Dooley and Cecilia, Craig and Ian Stephenson. I have lots of people who love me, three grandparents, Linda Cook Ryan and Renee and Kenneth Penney, two great-grandparents Essie and Ernie Granter, two uncles; David and Jonathan Penney, as well as great aunts, uncles and cousins. My Nanny and Poppy Cook, my Nan and Pop Penney and my Poppy Mercer missed my arrival, but I know they will always watch over me.

Daryl and Wanda Traverse are proud to announce the arrival of their son, William Thomas, born March 13th, 2001 at 11:52 pm., weighing 8 lbs. 5 ozs., measuring 51 cm. Proud grandparents are Bill and Lois Murray of Dunville, Tom and Lene Traverse of Ferndale and great-grandmother Augustia Hann. A special thank you to the staff at the Health Sciences Center.

Wall / Walsh
Mark, Mary and big brothers Nicholas and Tyler are tickled pink to announce the safe arrival of Makayla Jean born March 19th, 2001, 3:04 am., at the HSC. Proud grandparents are Bill Wall and Jessie Walsh. Especially proud is Makayla's guardian angel Nanny Jean Wall. Many thanks to Drs. Callahan, Dyer, Tennent, Kum and Power, and to the caseroom and 5th floor staff. Once again, special thanks to coach Daddy.

Whittle / Collier
Born in Ottawa to Paul Whittle and Paula Collier, a son, Jacob Tyler, 7 lbs. 7 ozs., on March 19th, 2001. First grandchild for Kevin and Veronica Whittle, St. John's and Paul and Matilda Collier, St. Albans. Great-grandparents are Arthur and Minnie Wilcott, St. Albans and Veronica Mills, St. John's. First nephew for Paul's sister Karen and Paula's brother Boyd. Congratulations to all!

Wilkins / Byrne
Richard and Kelly (Byrne) are thrilled to announce the birth of their first child, Ethan Charles, born at 5:06 pm., on March 7th, 2001, weighing 10 lbs. 1 ½ ozs. Proud first time grandparents are Nelson and Margaret Wilkins and proud first time great uncle John Kavanagh. Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Crane and all the nursing staff in the caseroom, especially Margaret Ann and Bev and the nurses of 5NB. Also a special loving thanks to Daddy for all his support and love.

Winsor / O'Keefe
Barry and Karen (O'Keefe) are thrilled to announce the arrival of their first child, a precious baby girl. Born at the Health Sciences Centre March 9th, 2001, weighing 6 lbs. 9 ½ ozs. Proud grandparents are Philip and Agnes O'Keefe and Bill and Daphne Winsor. Sincere thanks to Dr. C. Pike, Dr. A. Gill, Dr. Butler and to the nursing staff of the 3rd and 5th floors, especially caseroom nurses Evelyn and Michele and OBS nurses Annette and Kim. Special thanks to Aunt Carol for her support and also to Aunt Sandra Adams, R.N., for her support and loving care during our baby's birth. We love you very much.

Young / Rose
Wayne and Kim (Rose) are pleased to announce the safe arrival of their second child, a daughter Sydney Rose, born March 24th, 2001, weighing 7 lbs. 5 ozs. A little sister for Jared. Proud grandparents are Albert and Eileen Linehan, Paradise and Lou and Sadie Young, Wabush, Labrador. Thanks to doctors and staff of 5NB, HSC.
