Fred and Melanie (nee McCarthy) are thrilled to announce the birth of their first child, a beautiful baby girl Kathryn Mary born on May 30, 2011, weighing 7 lbs 15 oz. Kate is welcomed by third time grandmother Nancy Butler and first time grandmother Diane McCarthy all of Bell Island. Excited to meet Kate are all her uncles, aunts and cousins. Watching over Kate from above is her grandfather James Bennett Butler, great aunt MaryAnn Butler and great-grandmother Mary McCarthy. We would also like to thank Dr. Hayes and Dr. Bartellas for all their prenatal care during the past nine months and to Dr. White and her team for Kate's safe arrival.
