John, Rhonda (nee Batten) and big brother Jonathan are proud
to announce the early, but safe arrival of their second child, Devon
Charles, born on September 5th,
2000 at 10:48 pm., weighing 4 lbs. 14 ¼ ozs.
Proud grandparents are Allan and Shirley Batten of Foxtrap
and Mary Warren of Chapel Arm. Watching him from heaven is
Poppy Raymond Warren. Many thanks to the caseroom and OBS staff,
as well as Drs. Verge, Crane, Bennett and O'Grady. A very special
thank you to all the nurses of the ICU and SCN at the Janeway,
as well as Dr. Price. Thank you Daddy and aunt Nancy Ann for
all your support.

David Zelcer and Leigh Anne Power are pleased to announce the
birth of their first child, Claire Elizabeth, born September
11th, 2000 at 3:46 am., weighing 8 lbs.
12 ozs. Proud grandparents are Rita and Derm Power of Placentia,
Newfoundland and Phyllis and Joel Zelcer of Toronto. Thanks
to staff of James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander.
