Our second little pride and joy has arrived! Ryan Kristopher Hounsell joined us on Saturday, September 15th, 2001 at 10:28 am and weighed in at 7 lbs. 10 ozs. Mom and Dad, Krista and Roger Hounsell are so proud of our second little boy, as is his big brother Zachary, age three years old. Proud as can be are his grandparents Everett and the late Augusta (Gussie) Burden, Judith Guy, Gordon and Doreen Hounsell, as well as great-grandparents Flora Pike, Albert Guy and Pearl Hounsell and not to forget a special Uncle Peter Burden and a special Aunt Kim Hopkins. A special thank you to Dr. Jeff White and the staff at the Health Sciences Hospital as well as all our family and friends who have given Ryan such a loving welcome.

Alana is a Big Sister! Together with her parents, David and Deanne, Alana welcomes Madison Brooke into our family. This little 8 lbs. 14 oz. treasure was born at the Carbonear General Hospital, on September 27, 2001. Her proud grandparents are David and Margaret Clarke of Salmon Cove, Rosalie Squires and Bill Squires (Marie) of St. John's. Special thanks once again to Dr. I. Peacock for her excellent prenatal care. Thank you also to Dr. P. du Plessis for your exceptional obstetrical guidance and your constant availability, and to Dr. Marais for his assistance with this special event, and to the 5th floor obstetrical nursing staff for your genuine care given to both Mom and baby. Our special thanks to our friend and caregiver, Ruby, for taking such good care of our precious Alana while Mom was in the hospital.

Trudy (nee Boland) and Fred are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their second beautiful daughter, Holly Rose. Holly was born at the Women's Health Center, HSC on September 23rd, 2001, and weighed 6 lbs. 15 ½ ozs. Nanny, Doris Boland of St. John's and great-nanny Sophie Boland of Gander are delighted with her birth. Watching over Holly from Heaven is big sister Halley, Poppy Boland and Nanny and Poppy Stack. Also welcoming her are her half-siblings (Tara, Corey, Kellie, Ashley and Jordan) and a wide circle of extended family and friends. Sutherby / Barrett
Chris, Heather and big brother Joseph welcome with love the latest addition to our family -a beautiful baby girl. Ella Elizabeth Sutherby was born Friday, September 14th, 2001 at 6:22 am at the Women's Health Centre, Health Sciences Complex, St. John's, Proud second time grandparents are George and Judy Barrett of St. John's, fondly remembered at this time are the late grandparents Robert and Betty Sutherby. Also celebrating Ella's arrival is a wide circle of family and friends, at home and across the country. Special thanks to caseroom nurse Beverley Percy and the nurses of the 5th floor maternity ward. An extra special thanks to Dr. Patrick O'Shea for his care and guidance of our entire family.

Syster / Corcoran
Tom and Tanya are pleased to announce the early arrival of their first child, Devon Thomas, on September 17th, 2001, at 4:40 pm and weighing 7 lbs. 15 ½ ozs. Our pride and joy has finally arrived! Excited parents, John and Rosann (Putt) are thrilled to announce that Jonathan Thomas made his grand entrance September 23rd, 2001, at 00:29 hrs., weighing 7 lbs. 2.7 ozs. Welcoming Jonathan is Nanny (Marie) Taylor, Samantha and all his aunts and uncles. Adjusting to the new arrival are Mickey and Maggie (our canine children). A great big thank you to the caseroom staff of the Women's Health Centre, especially Karen, Cathy and Dr. Michelle Suka.

---Demonstrating an ability to keep up with his big brother Jaxson, Bradley Jason arrived quickly on September 17th, 2001, weighing in at a comfortable 7 lbs. 5 ozs. Heather and Jason are joined by grandparents Don and Joan Shears and Wayne and Gloria Thistle in welcoming the new addition to the clan. Special thanks to our delivery team Karen Fanning, Denise Maher and Steve Parsons and Daddy---(as always, you're the best), and prenatal caregivers Drs. Penton and Kravitz.
