BISHOP - Little girls are so much fun, we thought we'd have another one. Robert, Amy & big sister Ava are delighted to announce the arrival of Stella Rose on Sep. 10, 2008. Stella is blessed with a large circle of loving family and friends. We would also like to convey our deepest thanks to Dr. Erica House and her team, the wonderful nurses of the case room and our dear friend Dr. Deanna Murphy for their outstanding care.

BOLAND/DUGGAN - Tim and Amanda are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their baby boy, Jayden Michael, born on September 2, 2008 at 1:25 p.m., at the HSC, weighing 8 lbs., 15.5 oz. Welcoming Jayden with lots of love are proud first time grandparents Brian and Wendy Duggan of Cape Broyle, and Derm and Bernice Boland of Calvert, and great-grandparents Junior and Bern O'Brien, along with uncles Jody and Bradley Boland, and Michael Duggan, as well as many other family and friends. Special thanks to Dr. McCarthy for her excellent prenatal care, and Dr. Roche and Dr. White for a safe delivery as well as all the nurses and staff of the caseroom and 5NB, especially Nurse Joan Dalton. Mommy and Jayden would also like to thank Nanny Duggan for all her help before, during, and after delivery and thank Daddy for all of his love and support, especially during delivery.

BROWNE - Big brother Damian is thrilled to announce the arrival of his sister, Claire Marie on September 21st, 2008 weighing 8 lbs. Sharing in his joy are parents Mike and Kim, grandparents Mike and Marion Browne and Brad and Ann Rowsell. A heartful thank-you to Dr. Pike for her excellent prenatal care. Thank-you to the nurses and Dr. Delaney in the Fetal Assessment Unit for their care during the pregnancy. Also, special thanks to the nurses and staff of the case room, O.R., and 5NB. Thank-you to Dr. Strand and Dr. Collins for bringing our precious girl safely into our world. Lastly, thank-you to Daddy for all his love & support.

BURKE - Hello World! This is 7 year old Anna Kathleen Burke announcing the safe arrival of my little baby brother, Patrick David Edward on September 26th at 11:48 a.m., measuring 49.5 centimeters and weighing 7 lbs. 13 ozs. Mommy Angie, Daddy Jeff are joined by Nanny Anne and Poppy Dave Brenton and Nanna Patricia Burke in welcoming the newest member to the Burke family. Thank you God and the staff of the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre.

BUSSEY - Paul and his wife Rebecca Dick gratefully announce the safe arrival of a daughter Charlotte Grace Dorothy, a little sister for big brother Ethan. Charlotte was born September 1, 2008, at the Ottawa General Hospital. Proud grandparents Doug & Barbara Bussey, Monty & Barbara Dick are thrilled once again for this newest little blessing.

BUTT - Sheldon and Krista are proud to announce the arrival of their baby boy. Jackson Riley was born at the HSC on September 22, 2008 at 10:46 a.m., weighing 9 lbs. 3 ozs. Jackson is also welcomed by his big brother Nolan, who loves him very much.

CHAFE- So Cuddley and Sweet from his head to his feet. Our Precious 2nd Son has made our lives Complete. Carson and Heather (O'Keefe) Chafe and big brother Jack proudly announce that REED JOSEPH came into their lives on September 5, 2008 weighing 8lbs 10oz. Proud Grandparents Jerome and Brenda O'Keefe, Alex and Lucy Chafe along with a large family of friends, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Great-Gran King and his dog Morgan welcome Reed Joseph home.

COLE- Mark and Laura (nee Pottle) along with big brother Sean, are proud to announce the arrival of their daughter, Sadie Anne Cole, born September 17th, 2008, weighing 6lbs 13oz. Sharing in their joy are grandparents Leo and Lorraine Cole, Wally and Georgina Pottle, Robert and Beverley Blake, Great Grandmother Pottle, and all of Sadie's Aunties, Uncles, and cousins. Special thanks to Dr. Pike and all of the staff in the Case Room and 5NB. Sadie and Mommy would like to thank Daddy and Nana for their support during the delivery.

COLLINS/NOONAN - Before you were conceived we wanted you. Before you were born we loved you. Before you were here we would die for you. This is the miracle of love. Peter and Leslie Ann are proud to announce the arrival of their beautiful daughter, Caylee Leah Alma Collins, born on September 8, 2008, weighing 7 lbs. 15 ozs. Celebrating with them are grandparents, Aidan and Gloria Noonan (Bay-de-Verde) and Clayton and Lois Collins (Twillingate). Also great-grandma Maggie Noonan (Bay-de-Verde). Caylee has the pleasure to be named after her two great-grannies, Leah Fowlow and Alma Collins who unfortunately left this world before Caylee entered into it. Mom and Dad would like to specially thank Dr. Patrick O'Shea and Dr. Krista Brown, as well as all the doctors and nurses from triage to discharge for providing such wonderful care. A very special thank you to nanny and poppy Noonan for all thir love and support during mom's recovery and dad's return to work.

FIANDER - Noel and Amy are thrilled to announce the arrival of their sister, Gracie Hannah, born September 6, 2008 at Burin Peninsula Health Centre, weighing 6 lbs. 4 oz. Proud parents are Trudy and Leon Fiander. Also welcoming Gracie are grandparents, many aunts, uncles and cousins.

FOSS - Jason and Susan (nee Mugford) are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their son, KAMDEN FORD WILLIAM, born at 10:51p.m., September 22nd , 2008, weighing 9 lbs. 15oz. at the HSC, St. John's. Sharing the joy and love and welcoming  their first grandchild are Judy and Doug Mugford and Shirley and Bruce Foss.  First-time uncle, Darrell Foss, great-grandmothers, Audrey Withers and Mary Foss as well as family and friends are also excited to finally meet Kamden. Special thanks to the wonderful nurses and doctors involved in the care and delivery of our little bundle of joy. 

GREELEY - Paul and Alicia (nee Woodford) joyfully announce the safe arrival of their baby girl, Ella Anne, born on September 17, 2008 at 6:36 a.m. Ella was born at the Ottawa General Hospital weighing 7 lbs. 5 oz. Welcoming Ella with lots of love and kisses are first time grandparents Aubrey and Lynda Greeley of Upper Island Cove, second time grandparents, Fred and Maria Woodford of Harbour Main, and great-grandparents Alban and Mary Murphy also of Harbour Main. Also welcoming Ella are her uncles Michael (Deidre) and Steven (Tasha), aunt Lori (Curtis) and cousin Joseph along with many other family and friends who are anxiously waiting for her visit to Newfoundland in December. Mommy and Ella would like to thank Daddy for all his love and support and to Nana Woodford for travelling to Ottawa for Ella's arrival and all her help while Mommy was recovering. We would also like to express our love and gratitude to both our families for their love and giving Ella such a warm welcome to our family.

HOWELL - He's a wiggly, giggly, bundle of joy; our huggable, loveable new baby boy. Scott and Nicolle (Clarke) are thrilled to announce the early, but safe arrival of their first child, a precious baby boy, Clark Scott. Clark was born September 14, 2008, weighing 5 lbs. 15 oz. and measuring 18.5 inches. Also welcoming Clark are proud first time grandparents: Pat and Michele Clarke and Ron and Marilyn Howell, great-grandfather Bill McLean, great-grandmothers Ruby Howell and Ann Lee, uncle Chris and aunt Bridgette, uncle Mark and aunt Jen, uncle Nicholas, uncle Andrew, along with a large circle of family and friends. Clark is also welcomed by his furry friends: Abby, Gizmo and Coby. A special thank you to Dr. Lacelle and Dr. Cook for their outstanding prenatal care and to Dr. Kennedy, Dr. Saywan and the caseroom nurses for Clark's safe delivery. A very special thank you to the nurses and staff of the Janeway NICU for the exceptional care Clark received during his 4 week stay. We would also like to extend a thank you to all of our family and friends, especially Clark's grandparents, before, during, and after delivery and during his time in NICU.

HURLEY - Scott and Kim (nee Lambe) are very happy to announce the arrival of their first child, a beautiful son. Ryan William Hurley arrived a day ahead of schedule on September 26, 2008 at 8:06 am weighing 9 lbs. 5 oz. Proud, first-time grandparents are Phyllis Lambe, Ed Hurley (Brenda), Jim Knee (Molly), Judy Hurley, and Gerald Lambe (Paula). Thanks to Dr. Cherry Pike for her excellent prenatal care, Nurse Lisa Madden for her coaching and to Dr. Paula Mallaley for the safe delivery of our little angel. We would also like to express our gratitude for the fantastic medical support of the case room, 5NB and NICU. Ryan is blessed to be surrounded by an amazing group of family and friends who have offered continued support to us on our journey into parenthood.
Every baby begins the world again.

KELLY - Sean, Lori (Coombs) and big brother Sam are proud to announce the birth of KATIE LAUREN KELLY on September 10, 2008, weighing 9 lbs. 10 ozs. Katie is welcomed by grandparents Richard and Gloria Coombs and Frank and Phyllis Kelly.

LETTO - Mark and Cheryl are proud to announce the arrival of their first child, a beautiful baby boy, Blake Mark Letto, born September 8, 2008 at 11:01 a.m., weighing 6 lbs. 4 ozs. at the Health Sciences Centre. Sharing this exciting news are first-time grandparents Thomas and Diane Bath (Twillingate) and Lester and Violet Letto (L'ance au Clair, Labrador). Also welcoming Blake are his aunts and uncles: Jackie Letto, Doug Letto, Crystal Bath and Bradley Bath. A very special thank you to Dr. Brown, Dr. Murphy and case room nurse Jessica Fry for bringing our little angle into the world. Also, thanks to Dr. Howse for prenatal care.

MCGRATH - A wonderful gift, so precious and sweet, our hearts are full, our lives complete. Derek and Dawn (O'Keefe) McGrath joyfully announce the birth of their daughter SARAH ANNE who arrived on September 28, 2008 weighing 6lbs 12 oz. Thanks to all the nurses in the case room and especially to My Daddy for all the love and support he gave me and Mommy ensuring my safe arrival. Welcoming SARAH ANNE home are proud Grandparents Jerome and Brenda O'Keefe, Gilbert and Shelia McGrath, uncles, aunts, Great-Gran King and friends.

MCGRATH - Terry and Donna (nee Careen) are very proud to announce the arrival of their beautiful baby girl, AVA ELIZABETH, born September 19, 2008, weighing 6 lbs. 12 ozs. Welcoming Ava are Nanny and Poppy (Bernadette & Foncy) Careen, and Poppy (Aloysius) McGrath. Special thanks to Dr. Sheilagh McGrath and Dr. Tim Strand. Thanks also to Dr. Robert Kennedy & Nurse Donna Bradley for a safe delivery and to all the case room nurses. Ware so lucky to have a precious little miracle in our lives!

MORRIS - John, Christine (Lilly) and big brother Jack are delighted to announce the birth of Sarah Jane. Sarah was born at the Health Sciences Centre on Tuesday September 30, 2008 at 12:34 am, weighing 7lbs. 12 ounces, and measuring 49 cm. Sarah is welcomed by proud great-grandfather, Jack Morris, and proud grandparents Peter and Theresa Morris and Augustus and Janet Lilly and uncle Stephen. Thanks to Dr. Gill, and all the wonderful nursing staff in the case room and on 5NB. Thank you to the nurses and Dr. Crane in the Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit at the Health Sciences Centre for their care during the pregnancy. Also, a very special thanks to Dr. Duggan and Dr. Pike for their wonderful prenatal care and their help and support during the labour and delivery.

NASH-VINCENT - Her guardian angels have delivered her safely! Gerard and Sharon thank God for their newest blessing, a beautiful daughter. Elizabeth Sharon was born on September 19, 2008 at 8:39 am weighing 8 lbs., 9 oz. She is adored by three big brothers, Josh, A.J. and Connor who love her immensely! Elizabeth is the fourth grandchild of Gus and Marie Nash of Point Lance, seventeenth great-grandchild of Gus and Sadie Nash of Branch and ninth grandchild of Dorothy Vincent of Bay L'Argent. Poppy Fred Vincent is surely smiling on her from heaven! Many thanks to Dr. Sarah Healey and her team as well as the nurses of 5 North A and caseroom, especially Sheila, Rose, Beverly, and Carolann. To all our family and friends who helped welcome Elizabeth, please accept our sincere thanks for sharing in our joy. Very special thanks to those who remembered Mommy and baby in your prayers. An extra special thank you to Daddy from Elizabeth for being so thoughtful and kind to Mommy and me! We feel so blessed!

O'BRIEN - Andrew Malcolm. Born September 9, 2008 to Con O'Brien and Robyn Squires. Delighting big brother Martin; grandparents Rita O'Brien, Malcolm & Andrea Squires and Bud & Janice O'Brien; and great-grandmother Vera Squires.

PENNEY- Derm and Linda are thrilled to announce the arrival of their first grandchild - a beautiful baby boy. Matthew and Tomoko welcomed Taro on September 10, 2008, in Oita, Japan. Taro weighed 3.7 kg and measured 52 cm. Uncle Tim, great-grandparents Ed and Margaret Penney, all his great-aunts, great-uncles, and cousins can't wait to see him when he returns with his parents to Canada.

RALPH - Ken and Sherri Ralph are thrilled to announce the safe arrival of their beautiful baby girl, Jenna Nicole, born September 20, 2008. Weighing 5lbs 5ozs.  Jenna is joyfully welcomed by her grandparents Eugene and Connie Ralph of Bellevue, NL. And Stanley and Reita Sparks of Grande Prairie, AB. As well as her proud new Aunties, Uncles, and Great Grandmothers. Our heartfelt gratitude is extended to Dr's O'Grady, Motin, Healy, and Havelock, as well as all the staff of 5NB and the case room, for their outstanding care.

ROCHE - Team Roche (Susan & Ed) are thrilled to announce the signing of their second star, a boy, Ned Michael, on September 16, 2008. Ned's official weigh-in marked him in at an agile 6 lbs. 10.5 oz. Welcoming Ned to the lineup are big sister Shae, proud grandparents Joan Byrne and Bill Hann, and watching lovingly from heaven are grandparents Ned & Margaret Roche. Special thanks to Dr. O'Shea, case room nurse Karen and the staff of 5NB.

ROSSITER - Melvin and Sandra are proud to announce the arrival of their first child. Shyanne Mary was born at the HSC St. John's on Sept. 15st, 2008, weighing 7 lbs., 2.4 oz. Lovingly welcomed by first time grandparents William and Veronica Hawkins of Cape Broyle and Genevieve Rossiter of Calvert. Thank you to Dr. Annette McCarthy and Dr. Cherry Pike for their prenatal care and the caseroom staff.

SAHAJPAL/SLADE-SAHAJPAL - Vijay and Adriah are proud to say that Baby Kaidan is here to play! In the early hours of Thursday, September 11, 2008, another miracle, another life, Paula and Vic's third child, Kaidan Victor came into this world. Kaidan is a third grandchild for Gordon and Agnes Slade (Mount Pearl) and a fifth grandchild for Kant and Rita Sahajpal (Charlottetown, PE). Also welcoming him are Aunt Janet and Uncle Nick (Mount Pearl), Uncle Riki and Aunt Connie and cousins Ronan and Kiran (Ottawa). Thank you to Dr. Tim Strand for his excellent prenatal care. Thanks also to Dr. Joanne White for her soothing and reassuring mannerism during labour and for facilitating Kaidan's safe arrival along with the great nursing staff of the caseroom. We would also like to thank Dr. Strand and Dr. Anne Drover for expediting our post-partum hospital discharge so we could rest at home comfortably amongst our family! Kaidan is so blessed to be surrounded by a loving group of family, friends and neighbours. Thank you all for your ongoing support!

SCHWARTZ/MCGARRIGLE - Mark and Natasha McGarrigle (nee Schwartz) are thrilled to announce the arrival of their precious son, at the Sturgeon Hospital, St. Albert, Alberta, “Finn Joseph John” arrived at 1:48 a.m. on September 27, 2008, weighing 7 lbs. 3 ozs. Proud and feeling very blessed are grandparents John and Bev Schwartz of St. John's, NL and Maura and Aidan McGarrigle of St. Albert, Alberta. A very special thank you to the nurses and doctors of Sturgeon Hospital for their wonderful care and compassion.

SIMMS - Trevor and Darlene (nee Molloy) of St. Anthony proudly announce the arrival of their precious baby boy, Blake Richard, born September 10, 2008 at 3:30 p.m., weighing 6 lbs. 12 ozs.  Blake is the first grandchild for Richard and Irene Molloy of Peter's River, St. Mary's Bay and the first grandson for Wilmore and Hazel Simms of St. Anthony.

Sooley-O'Rielly - Erin and John welcomed a beautiful baby girl on Sept. 27, 2008.  Lilly Josephine weighed in at 7 lbs. 13 ozs.  She is the first Grandchild for Susan Parsons, Paul Sooley and Patricia & Allister O'Rielly and the first Great-Grandchild for Shirley & Boris Jensen and Sheila & Allan Sooley.  Lilly is also welcomed by Aunts: Megan Sooley, Susan & Sheena O'Rielly, and Uncle Michael O'Rielly.

SHEPPARD - Big brother Ian is thrilled to announce the arrival of his brother Zachary Luke who was born on September 22nd, 2008 weighing 7lbs., 10oz. Zach is welcomed by his proud parents Greg & Cynthia (Noel), grandparents Lee & Marjorie Noel of Pasadena, Barry & Lynda Sheppard of St. John's and great-grandparents Jessie Simms of St. Anthony Bight, Eldon & Marie Sheppard of Embree and Clement Tremblett of St. John's. Special thanks to Dr. Young and Dr. Kravitz for their excellent prenatal care and case room nurse Dinah O'Brien for Zach's safe delivery

WILLIAMS - Gary and Heather (Dunne) are thrilled to announce the arrival of their precious baby boy, Connor Luke, born September 16, 2008, weighing 9 lbs. Sharing in the joy are very proud grandparents Judy and the late John Dunne and Kenneth & Diane Williams as well great-grandmothers Kathleen Scott & Mary Joyce. Also, very happy to finally meet baby Connor are cousins Julia & Nathan Dunne, Marissa & Maya Williams & Isaac Corbett. Thank you to the case room staff of the HSC, especially nurse Krista May for her wonderful care during labour & delivery.
