Passed away at the Grace Hospital, Monday, February 28th, 1977, Marjorie Barrett of Upper Island Cove, age 40 years. Leaving to mourn his husband Graham; three daughters, Carol, Joan, and Carla, all at home; one son Lloyd, at Lewisporte; four sisters; three brothers. Funeral from her late residence Thursday at 2:30 P.M. to St. Peter's Church. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery. No flowers by request.

Murphy, Bertha
Passed away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital, March 1, 1977, Mrs. Bertha Murphy of 583 Empire Avenue, in her 73rd year. Left to mourn their sad loss are five daughters; Kathleen, Mary, Madeline (Mrs. Harold McDonald), Jenny (Mrs. Peter Oliver), and Carmel (Mrs. John Tompkins); at New York; one son Pat; three sisters, one brother; 18 grandchildren. Also a large circle of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at Caul's Funeral Home. Funeral on Thursday to St. Teresa's Church for Mass at 10:30 A.M. Interment at Mount Carmel Cemetery.
