Hynes, Eugene (Hughie)
Passed peacefully away at the General Hospital on August 7, 1971, Eugene (Hughie) Hynes, age 54 years of Portugal Cove. Leaving to mourn his wife Mary, two daughters, Carmel (Mrs. Philip Littlejohn), Dolores (Mrs. George Stapleton), one sister Elizabeth (Mrs. Ed Antle) one brother Patrick, seven grandchildren and a large number of relatives and friends. No flowers by request. Anyone wishing to can send donations to the Cancer Fund. Remains resting at Caul's Funeral Home until Mass 10:30 a.m., Tuesday at Holy Rosary Church, Portugal Cove.

Picco, Matthew
Passed away at Boston Hospital on August, 11, 1971, Matthew Picco of 143 Orange St., Chelsea, USA, age 67 years. Leaving to mourn his wife Florence, two daughters and one son, one sister Violet (Mrs. Jack Pike), St. John's, two brothers, Duncan at Portugal Cove and Harold at San Diego, California. Interment at Chelsea, Mass.
