Passed peacefully away on January 18, Bertha Maria Chafe (Vallis); leaving to mourn four daughters: Queenie (Mrs. W. Driscoll), Etta (Mrs. L. Wareham), Robena (Mrs. W. Chafe), and Hazel (Mrs. T. Edgecombe); two sons: Claude and daughter-in-law Edith, and Jack and daughter-in-law Eva; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Flora Noseworthy; one stepson George A. Chafe; also one brother, Archibald Collier, and one sister, Mrs. Vivian Blake; also a number of grandchildren and one great-grandchild, and relatives and friends. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue. Funeral on Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Church of St. Mary the Virgin. Interment in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
