She would make light of any rude remarks made to her by saying ³darn them all, the short and the tall² She was a very kind and forgiving person. Annie's favorite things included: a love of animals, Christmas, needlepoint, sewing, singing and just having fun. Her dream was to be a teacher, however this didn't come to be. Annie was a loving wife, devoted mother, daughter and sister, who was very proud of her family. She was a warm and loyal friend to all who touched her life. A funeral service was held March 9, 2001 in the Roman Catholic Church, Bell Island. Following the service, a reception was held at her sister Angela Johnson's home, where family and friends reminisced about the "good old days". Special thanks to Father Brown & the choir for the beautiful service. I would like to thank all who came to the services, sent cards, flowers, phoned, or sent food. Many thanks to Frankie Pendergast for his help -it was appreciated. Thanks to Darren Pynn for helping Annie during the snow storms this past winter. Also thanks to the pallbearers and everyone who offered comfort and support. God always takes first the ones he loves best. Annie was a good person and I thank God she was my sister. Annie will be sadly missed by all who deeply cared about her. Her loss will be deeply felt by her sons & family. In Annie's memory, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Diabetes Foundation.
