HOWLETT, Lucy
Passed away suddenly at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Sunday, March 9th, 1980, Lucy Howlett (nee O'Keefe), Tors Cove. Leaving to mourn two daughters: Leonora and Marie; one sister, Mary O'Keefe and brother Chris O'Keefe; two sons-in-law: David Walsh and John Chafe; four sisters-in-law: Mary Power of Tors Cove; Catherine Power and Rita O'Keefe of St. John's; also Kit O'Keefe of St. John's; eight grandchildren and a large circle of relatives and friends. Remains resting at Caul's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Tors Cove, 12 o'clock Wednesday.

PEARCE, Kevin
Passed peacefully away at his residence, 451 Southside Road on March 2nd, 1980, Kevin Francis Pearce, aged 48 years. Leaving to mourn: his loving wife, Agnes; one son, Kevin Francis Robert; one step-daughter Mrs. Barbara Delaney of Halifax, N.S. and one step-son Scott Pearce at Halifax, N.S.; his mother, Mrs. Anna Pearce and one sister, Annie (Mrs. Kevin O'Grady); four brothers, William, Austin, Edward and Eric of St. John's; one uncle, Mr. Frank Olsen; sister-in-law, Daphne (Mrs. Austin Pearce); one aunt, Mrs. Hazel Field, Montreal; a number of nephews and nieces and a large circle of other relatives and friends. Resting at Caul's Funeral Home. Funeral on Wednesday following service at St. Thomas' Anglican Church at 2 p.m. Interment at the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.

RYAN, Nicholas J.
Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on March 10th, 1980, Nicholas J. Ryan, of Bay Bulls, in his 85th year, and the 59th year of his marriage. Left to mourn his passin, his loving wife Annie (nee Dunphy); also his three sons: Thomas, Michael, and Nicholas Jr.; three daughters: Hannah, Mary, and Catherine; 23 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a large number of other relatives and friends. Remains resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls. Funeral from St. Peter and St. Paul's Church, Bay Bulls on Wednesday, March 12th, at 10:30 a.m.

Tilley, Mary Elizabeth (nee Squires)
Passed peacefully away March 31st, 1980, at her residence 6 Blackwood Place, Mary Elizabeth (nee Squires) Tilley, wife of the late James L. Tilley, Pharmacist, age 59 years. Leaving to mourn two sons; John in Ontario and James Jr. (and wife Carol) in St. John’s; one daughter Brenda (Mrs. William Walsh), five grandchildren; Tina, Robbyn, and Mark Tilley and Allison and David Walsh; three brothers; Mike, Dick and Jack Squires, all at St. John’s; two sisters; Joan (Mrs. Robert Snow) and Kathleen (Mrs. Sidney Bearns) both at St. John’s; also a large number of relatives and friends. Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home. Funeral on Thursday, at the Basilica for Funeral Service at 10 am.. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
