Browne, Charles Fredrick
Passed away peacefully at the Health Science Centre on Friday, May 19, 2017, age 74 years. Predeceased by his parents Sara and Levi Browne; daughter Paula; brothers Jim and Danny (Eileen); sisters Marie and Blanche. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife of 50 years Carol (Will): daughters Trudy (Ambrose) and Dayna (Tommy); special grandson Brandon; brother Harold (Jane); sister Bertha; sister-in-law Blanch Browne; special sister-in-law Marlie (Tone) Hayes and special friend Bev Vey, also a large number of family and friends. Cremation has taken place. Visitation from Caul's Funeral Home, LeMarchant Road on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 pm-9 pm. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, May 25, 2017 from Caul's Chapel at 10 am. Inurnment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Greeley, Susannah (Susie) (nee Dowden)
Passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 28th, 2017 in her 89th year. Predeceased by her husband Harold (1999). Leaving to mourn 6 children, Chris (Hannah), Brenda Picco (Bob) in Nova Scotia, Roger in Ontario, Keith (Alma), Daisy Summers (Ron), Carmel Saunders (Glen), 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren. Sisters-in-law Daisy Greeley in Boston, MA, Elsie Toope (John), brother-in-law Matthew Greeley (Gina) in Ontario, daughter-in-law Beverley Greeley in Domincan Republic. Special life time neighbour and friend Madeline Gibbons. Sevveral nieces and nephews and other family members and friends. Sincere thank you to the caring staff on 2 Northwest and 2 Northeast at the Pleasant View Towers (Long-term care). The family will receive visitors at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, on Thursday, June 1st, 2017 from 2-9 pm.. Interment to follow in the United Cemetery, Portugal Cove. King, Elizabeth Elsie (nee Tucker)
February 11, 1933 - May 2, 2017

Passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital in St. John's, NL, after a lengthy illness. Predeceased by her husband John; son Lloyd; parents Christine and Gordon Tucker; and sisters Mabel, Emma and Alice. Left with fond and loving memories dearest partner of 38 years James Pittman; sons Eric (Linda) and Robert (Donna); daughters Yvonne and Marilyn (Bill); sister Margaret; brother Gordon; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren and a large circle of nieces and nephews, relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at 4 West St. Clare's. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road, St. John's, NL on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 7-9 pm and Sunday, May 7, 2017 from 12 - 4 pm and 6-9 pm. Cremation to follow. KING, William Edward
Passed on: May 29th, 2017

Passed peacefully away on Monday, May 29th, 2017 in the presence of his loving family at the Veteran's Pavilion, L.A. Miller Centre at the age of 97 years. Predeceased by parents Johannah and Michael King, brothers Jack and Michael, sisters Mary Reelis, Madeline Evans and Eileen Earle. Leaving to mourn his loving wife of 61 years, Ruby (Snow); sons: Robert (Sheryl), Billie, Barry (Patricia), Jeffrey; his loving granddaughter Lauren; nephew John Reelis (Joyce); brothers-in-law: Harry Snow and Kevin Snow (Peggy); also, a large number of nieces and nephews. William was a veteran of World War II as a member of the 166th Field Regiment Royal Artillery and a member of the Singing Legionnaires. He fought in the Battle of Britain, North Africa, Sicily and Italy. William was the last survivor of the first draft of the 166th Regiment. Upon returning from the War he became a very successful business man. A self taught player of musical instruments and provided entertainment to his comrades at Branch 56 for many of their functions. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home 329 Freshwater Road from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, May 31st, Thursday, June 1st and Friday, June 2nd. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 at 10 a.m. from the Carnell Memorial Chapel. Cremation to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Last Post Fund of the Royal Canadian Legion. Neil, Claude
Passed away in the presence of his loving family on May 23, 2017 after a brief illness, Claude Neil, age 71. Predeceased by parents Jessie and Elsie Neil, and brother Gerald, Leaving to mourn his wife of 47 years, Cavell (Samson); son Scott (Debbie) of St. John's; daughter Penny Power (Craig) of Paradise; four precious grandchildren Joshua and Brooke Neil, and Emily and and Riley Power; brother Tom (Nina) of Corner Brook; sister Sheila Mugford (Dave) of Makinsons; mother-in-law Pearl Samson, brother-in-law Tony Samson (Betty) of Goulds; sister-in-law Dale Samson of St. John's; life long friends Art Boyles, Bill Drover; several nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends. A real special thanks for the help and devotion from Dave and Sheila Mugford during the past five months, and the entire palliative care team and a special thank you to Dr. Rick Bhatia. It was truly appreciated. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive visitors at Carnell's Funeral Home, 329 Freshwater Road on Thursday, May 25th, 2017 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm and Friday, May 26th, 2017 from 1-4 pm, and 7-9 pm.. A funeral service will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Goulds, on Saturday, May 27th, at 9:30 am, with inurnment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Kenmount Road.
