BARTLETT, Erika Marie - In loving memory of our "little angel," Erika Marie Bartlett. March 31, 1994 - May 14, 1999 God's Child and Ours I'll send you for a little time a child of mine, he said for you to love her while she lives and mourn for when she's gone. It may be five or seven years or twenty-two or three, but will you, till I call her back, take care of her for me? She'll bring her charms to gladden you and should her stay be brief You'll have her lovely memories as solace for your grief. I cannot promise she will stay since all from earth return But there are lessons taught down there I want my children to learn I've looked this wide world over in search of teachers true and from the throngs that crowd life's lane, I have chosen you. Now will you give all your love nor think the labour vain and hate me when I come to call to take her back again? Reply Dear Lord Thy will be done For all the joy this child will bring, the risk of grief we'll run We'll shelter her with tenderness, we'll love her while we may and for the happiness we have known, forever grateful stay and should the angels call for her much sooner than we'd planned We'll brave the bitter grief that comes and try to understand. Your smile in our heart, dear little Erika will forever be. We love you. Resting at Conway's Funeral Home, Conception Harbour, Sunday 10 a.m.-10 p.m., Monday 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Funeral mass 1 p.m. Monday at St. Anne's Church, Conception Harbour. Interment to follow.
