Mr. John B. Mercer
of Spaniard's Bay passed peacefully away at Pte. Josiah Squibb Memorial Pavilion, Carbonear on Sunday, November 7, 2021. He was 88 years old. He leaves to mourn: Daughter: Melaine, Sons: Terry (Lynn) & Paul (Charmaine). Grandchildren: Rebecca, John Matthew (Sherry), Michael, Kelly (Jamie), Noah & Thomas, Great Granddaughters: Gwen & Julia, Brother: Robert (Dot), Sisters: Pearl (Herb) & Patricia (Baxter, Sisters-in-law: Helen, Freda & Charlotte and a large number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Predeceased by: Wife: Mary, Parents: Baxter & Susie, Brother: Gerald Sister: Clara. The family received relatives and friends at Slade's Funeral Home, Conception Bay Highway, Spaniard's Bay on Tuesday and Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy donations may be made is his loving memory to Holy Redeemer Anglican Church, Spaniard's Bay. The Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 2 P.M. from Holy Redeemer Anglican Church, Spaniard's Bay. Interment followed at Maul Tree Hill Anglican Cemetery, Spaniard's Bay. Condolences may be written to the family at: sladesfuneralhome.ca , on the Memory Wall section of the obituary. For further information please call Slade's Funeral Home, Spaniard's Bay 786-1613. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Slade's Funeral Home, serving Carbonear, Upper Island Cove, Bay Roberts, Spaniard's Bay and surrounding areas.
