FLORIDA - John J. Jack Hynes
, of Marco Island, Florida, formerly of Weymouth, died Thursday, February 5 at home. He was 76. Mr. Hynes was the devoted husband of Jean L. (Chella) Hynes for 50 years. Born in St. Johns, Newfoundland on December 30, 1932, Mr. Hynes was the son of the late John W. and Josephine M. (Kearsey) Hynes. He was retired from Procter and Gamble and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Hynes also served as a Staff Sargeant in the US Air Force during the Korean War. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hynes is survived by his sons, John J. Hynes, Jr. of South Yarmouth, Jeffrey P. Hynes of Quincy, Michael T. Hynes of Alexandria, VA and Peter J. Hynes of New York, NY. He was also the dedicated father-in-law of Eileen and Shannon; Proud grandfather of Conor, Keelan, Lindsay, Landon and Logan; and Loyal uncle to many nieces and nephews. Mr. Hynes was preceded in death by his loving son, Stephen M. Hynes, dear sister Alice Brow and brother Ron. His funeral will be from the Bolea-Buonfiglio Funeral Home, 116 Franklin St., Quincy on Tuesday, February 10 at 9 a.m. Followed by a Funeral Mass in St. Johns Church, 44 School St., Quincy at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours Monday, 4-8 p.m. Interment in Mt. Wollaston Cemetery, Quincy. Memorial Donations may be made to Avow Hospice, 1095 Whippoorwill Lane, Naples, FL 34105.

BILLERICA - Patrick D. Morey, age 89, husband of the late Evelyn C. (Powers) Morey, died Saturday, at his home. He was born in Torbay, Newfoundland, Canada, the son of the late Robert Morey and Catherine (Quigley) Morey, and lived in Billerica since 1955.

Mr. Morey was a self-employed roofer for many years, prior to his retirement. He was a former member of the Billerica Lodge of Elks, and the Irish American Club. He is survived by his 6 sons, Philip Scarpaci of FL, Robert Morey of ME, David Morey, James Scarpaci, John Scarpaci and Stephen Morey, all of Billerica; 6 daughters, Donna Feetham and Evelyn Mayhew of Milton, Barbara Chronowski of Dracut, Patricia Brown of Sutton, Debbie Carlson of CO, and Peggy Morey of Billerica; brother of Margaret Mahon of Canada. He is also survived by 28 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Tuesday from the Sweeney Memorial Funeral Home, 66 Concord Rd., Billerica at 8 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Theresa Church at 9 a.m. Relatives and friends respectfully invited. LOWELL - Jennie M. (Thistle) Rawnsley, 79, a resident of the Belvidere section of Lowell for many years, died unexpectedly on Sunday morning, June 14, 2009, at her home. She was the beloved wife of Charles F. Rawnsley, with whom she celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 6, 2008. Born in Newfoundland, Canada, on December 15, 1929, she was a daughter of the late William and Patience (Evely) Thistle. Mrs. Rawnsley was a longtime member of the Centralville United Methodist Church. She was devoted to her family and especially devoted to her two grandsons. In addition to her husband she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Gary F. and Alicia (Johnston) Rawnsley of Newburyport and Glenn W. Rawnsley of Lowell; a daughter and son-in-law, Charlene R. and Duncan H. MacLean of Lowell; a brother, Harold Thistle of Windham, NH; two sisters, Vera Stanford and Bertha Rowe, both of Canada; two grandsons, Daniel and Ian MacLean, both of Lowell; several nieces and nephews. She was a sister of the late Fred and Benjamin Thistle, Mabel Noseworthy, Aceneth Cramm and Millicent McCann.

RAWNSLEY - Relatives and friends may call at the McKenna-Quellette Funeral Home, 327 Hildreth Street, from 4 until 7 P.M. on Wednesday. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday morning with the time and place to be announced in Wednesday's edition of the newspaper. Burial in St. Joseph Cemetery. SCOTT, Colleen Mary Crawley

Littleton - Colleen Scott, of Littleton, MA, died unexpectedly on 6/11/09 at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MA, surrounded by her eight children, she died peacefully.

Mrs. Scott, a proud Newfoundlander and widow of the late John J. Scott, Jr., who died in 1972, was a longtime and active resident of Littleton. She was a member of the St. Anne's Parish, St. Anne's Sodality, Littleton Garden Club, and Littleton Boosters club. An avid ice hockey and golf fan, she also enjoyed traveling, snow skiing, working in her yard and flower gardens and visiting with numerous friends and family in the area.

She is survived by her eight children and their families: Sean A. Scott of Merrimac, MA and his seven children: Sean R. and Charlotte Scott, Jacquelyn and Adam Loren, Ross, Catherine, Madison, Samantha and Tobias Scott, Teresa and Mike Jacobson of Savannah, GA and her two children, Nathan and Kelley Brock, Joshua and Kana Brock, Patricia Atkins of Littleton MA and her two children, Shannon and Christopher Atkins. Kevin Scott and his fiancée, Cheri Leach, and children, Haley and Dylan of Littleton. Peter and Patty Scott, and their children, John, Alexandra and William of Littleton, Elizabeth and Bruce MacWilliams and their children, Brynne and Colleen of Salt Lake City, UT, Sheila and Matt Field and their children, Melissa and Emily of Littleton, Sharon J. Scott of Jacksonville, FL; and six great-grandchildren: James and Gracen Scott, Rachel, Emma, and Sasha Loren and Lilia Brock.

She leaves behind William and Colleen Crawley, Kevin and Theresa Crawley, Bob Crawley, Sheila Morrissey and Larry and Patricia Powers; and numerous nieces and nephews from Newfoundland and the Canadian Provinces. Additionally, she will be sadly missed by her in-laws, Petty and William Gleason, their four children and families and Ross and Bernice Scott and their five children and families of Rochester, New York,
Our goofy Newfie will forever be in our hearts and minds and prayers.

SCOTT - A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne's Church, 75 King St., Littleton on Tuesday, June 16 at 10 a.m. Visiting Hours at the Badger Funeral Home, 347 King St., Littleton on Monday from 3-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations will be gratefully accepted for the John J.
