Died peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday,
November 25, 2009, Robert (Bob) J. George of Whiteway, Newfoundland
aged 93 years. Predeceased by his parents, five siblings, and his precious
great-granddaughters Andrea and Becky Sparkes. Leaving to mourn his loving
wife of nearly 60 years, Vivian, their seven children, two daughters: Helen
Sparkes (Gary), Elaine Drover (Jack) and five sons: James (Clara), Lloyd
(Jackie), Robert (Jo-Anne), Darryl (Karen), all of Newfoundland and the Reverend
Kevin George (Lieutenant (Navy) Catherinanne George) of Tecumseh, ON, as
well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Bob enjoyed his visits
to Southwestern Ontario, and the many friends he made in Windsor and Essex
County. He will be particularly missed at St. Mark's by-the-Lake Church,
where he spent a great deal of time. Funeral Services were held on Saturday,
November 28 in Whiteway. Messages of condolence may be sent care of St. Mark's

In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to St. Mark's by-the-Lake
Raising the Roof fund, or a charity of one's choice.

Born in Lushs Bight Newfoundland. Passed away peacefully
on November
22, 2009
in her 82nd
year. Reunited with her husband Robert Sr. (2006) with whom she
shared 53 years of marriage. Loving mother to Nancy Zvric and husband Greg
of Windsor; Robert and wife Marianne of London. Cherished grandma to Kali Sak
and husband Chris of Windsor; Casey Balmer and husband Matthew of Windsor,
Alaina Zvric, Adam Zvric, Matthew Zvric, David Hatchard, and Jessica Hatchard
of London. Great-grandmother to Noah Sak. Dear sister to Stan Colbourne and
wife Rita of Newfoundland, Jenny Wells and her late husband Calvin of Bancroft,
and predeceased by sister Lillian Clark and husband Les, Annie Spracklin and
husband Sy, and brother Roderick Colbourne and surviving wife Ruby. Dear sister-in-law
to the late Art and Jean Hatchard. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Longtime member of First Lutheran Church of Windsor. Visitation at the WINDSOR
CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Wednesday, November 25, 2009 from
2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers Wednesday evening at 8 p.m. Funeral Service
on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Pastor Gilvan de Azevedo
officiating. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Special
thanks to the staff of Royal Oak Nursing Home, Kingsville for their love and
care provided to Mom. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may

of Florence Marie Shipley (nee: Walsh) at Victoria Hospital,
London, on September
20, 2009, in her 69th year. Loving wife of Colin and beloved mother
of Bruce and Dayle (Alan Simpson). She will be sadly missed by her loving
granddaughter Kaila Simpson. Dear daughter of Elizabeth Walsh of St.
John's, Nfld. Also survived by 6 sisters and 5 brothers. Very much loved by many
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her father Walter Walsh and her brother
Jerome Walsh. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William
St., London, on Thursday from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral
Mass will be celebrated in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, (1 Fallon Lane

Promoted to
glory on Wednesday, July 8, 2009 in his 85 year. Beloved husband of Lillian
(2000) and Gen (2004). Will be sadly missed by daughters Margaret (Maggie)
Taylor and husband Herb, Sheha, Saskatchewan; Ruth Gilliland and husband
Reverend Kim, Cottam, Ontario; and son Donald, Edmonton, Alberta. Proud grandfather
of Andrew, John, Stephen and Rebekah Gilliland, Michael, James and Katherine
Taylor. Predeceased by his parents Edgar and Margaret (Maggie) Wiseman of
Little Bay Islands, Newfoundland, and sister Delphina (Mrs. Brigadier Arthur
Evans), and brother Maxwell.
He entered the C.F.O.T. in the Courageous Session
Commissioned (Ordained) in 1958. Lillian and Bernie pastored several churches
before being transferred to Men's Social Services where they were instrumental
in establishing a rehab for alcoholics in Saskatoon, and overseeing the erecting
of two buildings in Edmonton, one of which houses the Divisional Headquarters
for the Alberta and Prairie Division. Bernie retired in 1989. He was a faithful
soldier of the Salvation Army South Windsor Citadel.
