It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ambrose Maynard announce his passing on Friday, May 28th, 2004 at his family residence in his 81st year. He will be sadly missed by his six daughters: Dorothy (Milton) Payne, Masie (Bruce) Boose, Eyvonne (Dean) Blanchard, Edith, Frances, and Shirley Maynard; his sons: Wesley (Masie) Maynard, Raymond, Wilfred, Calvin, Andrew, Baxter Maynard, Milton (Karen) Maynard; nineteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; his sisters: Dorothy Hillard, Louise (Harold) Ryan and Margaret Green; his brothers: Wallace (Helen), Stan and Hazel Maynard, also a large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his wife Frances and parents Mike and Ada Maynard; his brothers: Andrew and Garfield; his aunt Maude Hillard and Myrtle Mayor. Visitation will take place from St. Luke's United Church, Norris Point, starting on Tuesday, June 1st, 2004, where funeral services will take place on Wednesday, June 2nd, 2004 at 2:30 p.m., with Rev. Raymond Clouter officiating. Interment to follow at the family plot. Flowers graciously accepted. Donations made to Diabetic Association. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Annie (nee Payne); son: Algon (Olive) Park, Steady Brook; daughters: Lida (Wayne) Pear, Cox's Cove, and Beulah (Roy) Hillier, Kitchener, ON; grandchildren: Michelle White (Peter), St. John's, Dale Park (Jennifer), Steady Brook, Tammy Whalen, Mississauga, ON, Krista and Nathan Pear, Cox's Cove; three great-grandchildren: Lucas Raymond and Jessica Park, and Stephanie White; sisters: Lillian Abbott (Ralph), Geraldine Cox (Walter), Hilda Park (Dave), and Julie Osbourne (Scott), as well as a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Passed away peacefully May 19, 2004, in hospital surrounded by his family, and will be forever missed and dearly loved by them. He was the former employee of F.W. Woolworth's Ltd., 18 years of which were spent in Corner Brook, NL. He enjoyed the outdoors, family life and his dogs. and Murray Bernard Hancock were united in marriage in a very beautiful ceremony by Edward Payne at the Glynmill Inn, Corner Brook on April 16, 2004. Angela is the daughter of Fred and Hilda Bennett, Murray is the son of Bernard and Dorothy Hancock. Angela and Murray work and reside in Irishtown.

50th ANNIVERSARY

are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary today. They were married on June 5, 1954, by the late Reverend Father Thomas Moakler at St. Patrick's Church in St. John's. It is with much love that Rob, Gus, Bernadette, Suzanne, Bernard, Brian, Sean, sons- and daughters-in-law, and 11 grandchildren wish them a day filled with beautiful memories and a happy, healthy future. An anniversary celebration will be held in July.

of Pasadena will be celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary on Sunday. They were married on June 6, 1964, in Toronto. , A Royal Navy veteran of the Second World War and an experienced bush pilot who began his career flying the E.P.A. mail plane in the mid-fifties, passed away Tuesday, June 8th, 2004 after a short illness. He was 82. Bill was well known and loved by many across the island and Labrador. Originally from St. John's, he and his wife Alicia (Norris) lived in Gander, Baie Verte, Goose Bay and retired in Pasadena in 1983. Bill, son of the late Daisy and William Eaton of St. John's; brother to the late Campbell Eaton, Helen Smith, Douglas Eaton, Allister Eaton, Daisy Delong and David Eaton; father to Margo Eaton, Norris and Marina Eaton, Kathie and Chris Paterson, Alicia and Gary Dean and James and the late Val Eaton and grandfather to Allison Eaton, Caitlin Paterson and Erin Paterson.
