Passed away Thursday afternoon, October 31st, 2002 at the Sudbury Regional Hospital - St. Joseph Health Center; beloved wife of Reginald Park Sr. (Rex) of Lively, loving mother of Daryl (wife Karen) of Sudbury, Reg (wife Nancy) of Chelmsford and Larry (wife Kathy) of Brampton; cherished grandmother of Stephanie (friend Jon Pratt), Jeffrey, Joshua, Stephen, Daniel, Kristen and Sara; dear daughter of Fred and Gladys Williams, both predeceased; dear sister of Albert, Ethel Blacker-Pike, Olive Hunt, Marjorie (husband Everett Barriault), Verna (husband Lloyd Buckle), Elizabeth Keough (husband Phonse), Fred (wife Winnie), David (wife Phyllis) and Raymond (wife Linda). Born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, she married Rex in Quebec in 1952. She was a devout member of Christ Anglican Church and the A.C.W. Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street at Hazel St. Funeral service in Christ Anglican Church, Lively, Monday, November 4th, 2002 at 11 a.m. Interment in the Water's Cemetery, Walden. Donations to Christ Church Bell Tower Fund or Alzheimer Society would be appreciated.

GREEN, Sean Patrick
November 24, 1968 - October 31, 2002

Tragically in Ottawa on Thursday, October 31, 2002; beloved husband and best friend of Christine Vaillancourt; precious son of Andrew and Myra Green; cherished brother of Glen (Andrea); loving grandson of Cecilla Peters (Max Rose) and the late Patrick Peters and the late Sidney and Lillian Green; dear son-in-law of Robert and Eileen Vaillancourt; special uncle of Aimee and Alexander Green, Mikaela and Olivia Groulx, Emille, Nicholas, Joel, Tianna and Caitlin Vaillancourt; wonderful brother-in-law of Darrell and Suzanne Vaillancourt, Lyne Vaillancourt (the late Gary), Bernie and Susan Groulx. He will be greatly missed by his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Sean was an enthusiast of sports and laughter. He loved the great outdoors - from playing ultimate to swimming oceans to hiking mountains. Friends may visit Fillatre's Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m., and Monday, 2-4 and 7-9:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 5th at 10:30 a.m. from All Hallows Roman Catholic Church, Humber Road, Fr. Gordon Grace officiating. Interment to follow Mt. Patricia Cemetery. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Agnes Gorman announce her passing at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre in Stephenville Crossing on Tuesday, October 22nd, 2002 at the age of 83. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Theresa (Bill) Ellsworth, Marian Bache (Hal Sippel), Helen Dougan, Pamela (Robert) McNeely all of Toronto, ON; Jack (Rita), Tweed, ON, Bernard (Linda), Kingston, ON, Jerry (Patricia), Milton, ON, Monica Christy, Windsor, ON, Ron (Louise), Grand Falls-Windsor, Margaret (John) Lytle, North Carolina and Bernadette of St. George's; 24 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild; sisters: Mary Mahar, St. John's, Joan MacPherson, Robinsons and Rita Butt, Curling; brothers: John (Clarissa) Gillis, Stephenville, Michael Gillis, Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing and Lawrence Gillis of Lark Harbour, as well as a very large circle of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She is predeceased by her husband Tom, son Danny, parents John and Margaret Gillis, sisters: Margaret, Betty, Eleanor and by her brother Cyril. The Funeral Mass took place from St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, St. George's on Friday, October 25th, at 10:00 a.m., Fr. Ariel Garcin officiated. It is with great sadness that the family of Sheila Battcock announce "Heaven has claimed another angel" on November 1, 2002 (All Saints Day), Sheila departed our world surrounded in the love of her husband of 43 years, John F. Battcock, her daughters: Jeanine Cardinali (Tony), Jo-Ann O'Brien (Dulach), Michele Draper (Jeff) and son Johnny Battcock (Barbara). Tara, Rory, Liam, Mark, Alley, Danny and Ryan will never forget their darling Nanny. Awaiting Sheila's arrival in Heaven are her parents, Mary and William Howlett with her brothers Martin and Jack Howlett. Carmel Buckingham and Sheilagh McGrath (Robert) will cherish the memory of a wonderful sister-in-law. Brother Bernard Howlett (Pats) and sisters Bridget Hannis (Rollin) and Patricia Cass will dearly miss their baby sister. Diane Chaulk (Leslie) and children Melanie, Monique and Michael will deeply miss a special and loving influence in their lives. Anne Galway (John) will cherish the memory of a longtime best friend. The Florida Snow Birds will miss an important member of their flock. Her spirit will continue to shine with the many friends she loved dearly. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Verna Hope Budgell announce her passing on Saturday, November 2, 2002 at the Palliative Care Unit, W.M.R. Hospital in her 73 year. She will be sadly missed and ever remembered by her loving husband William, her 3 sons: John & wife Maureen Anstey, Eugene & wife Bonnie Anstey, and Melvin & wife Patsy all of Deer Lake. Her 2 daughters: Ena (Mrs. Raymond Lewis) and Mrs. Julie Smith both of Deer Lake. Her brother Melvin & wife Wavey Cross of Deer Lake. 19 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren & 1 great great grandchild. Dearly loved husband, father, grandfather, brother, father-in-law and brother-in-law, Arthur Charles Hewitt. He leaves to mourn his wife of 57 years, Mary. Her daughter-in-law: Marie of Hampden. 10 grandchildren: Brad, Robbie, Bobbie, Tonya, Tyler, Kirk, Kelly, Dion, Natasha and Matthew. 3 great-grandchildren; Dylan, Kaylee, Mariah. Three sisters: Florence (Cecil) Parsons of Hampden, Winnie (Wallace) Harris of Grand Falls and Adelaide Colbourne of Hampden. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elizabeth (nee Simon) Wheeler announce her passing at the Health Science Centre in St. John's on November 1, 2002 at the age of 75 years. She will be sadly missed by her family and a large circle of relatives and friends. Left to mourn are her husband, Elmer and daughter, Audrey, grandson, Darrin of Alberta and granddaughter, Ronalda of Ontario, two great grandchildren, Nelson and Nathan and her brother Michael of Deer Lake, sister, Youenna Pichette of Boston and all of her brothers and sisters-in-law on the Simon and Wheeler sides of her family. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Frank Augustus Troke announce his passing on Sunday, November 3rd, 2002 at the W.M.R. Hospital in his 71st year. He will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 48 years Joyce. Nine children: Hazel (Willie) Reid of Reidville, Kevin (Catherine) Troke of Deer Lake, Bruce (Debbie) Troke of Waasis, New Brunswick, Linda (Craig) Nichols of Whitby, Ontario, Daphne (Dave) Jones of Deer Lake, Shawne (Belinda) Troke of Cormack, Cathy Troke, Cynthia Troke and Karen (Alvin) Osbourne all of Deer Lake. Four grandchildren: Paula, Amanda (Raymond), Christa and Melanie. One sister Gladys Gabbard of Deer Lake. One brother George Troke of Pollards Point. Also a large circle of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, brother and two sisters. It is with great sadness that the family of the late Patrick Rowsell of Vancouver, BC, formerly of Curling, NF announce his passing after a courageous battle with cancer, on Monday, November 4th, 2002 at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, BC, at the age of 76 years. He leaves to mourn his 2 brothers: Gerry (Bernice) and Alphonsus (Marjorie) of Corner Brook, NF. 3 sisters: Stella Regush, Vancouver, BC, Sharon (Gene) McHugh, Calgary, AB, Sheila (Jack) Boland, Corner Brook, NF. He also leaves to mourn numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Pat was predeceased by his father and mother: Stephen and Ethel Rowsell, sisters: Bernice and Patricia. WEDDING

ROCHE / WISE
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Martin take pleasure in announcing the marriage of their granddaughter Lucia Roche to Jeremy Wise, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Wise of Ottawa, Ont. The wedding took place on September 28, 2002 followed by a reception at the Southway Inn. The newlyweds spent their honeymoon on the Mayan Riviera, Mexico, and are now residing in Ottawa.

ANDERSON & ST. HELENE
A beautiful wedding took place on the lawn of Brock House in Vancouver, British Columbia on July 26, 2002 when Janice, daughter of Elaine and the late Denis St. Helene of Ottawa, and Brent, son of Helen and Henry Anderson of Corner Brook, were united in marriage. The ceremony was officiated by Judge Peter Doherty, Uncle of the Bride and Janice was escorted down the aisle by her brother David St. Helene. Maid of Honour was Sharon Lahey, friend of the bride, and bridesmaids were Carla French and Karen Roberts, both friends of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Emma Anderson, niece of the groom. Best man was Brian French, friend of the groom, and groomsmen were Ken Anderson, brother the groom, and David St. Helen, brother of the bride. Junior groomsman was Anderson Traverse, nephew of the groom. The happy couple live in Vancouver where Brent is employed as an Account Executive at UPS and Janice, who is completing her Master's Degree in Education, is teaching at Vancouver Talmud Torah, a Private Elementary School.
