1 Muster Rolls are basically employee records for a vessel. This is a typed document so the spellings are as they were typed. A ? mark will indicate that no info was provided. 2 Nfld. is abbreviation for Newfoundland (K. B.) 3 On May 21 1774 Robert Brown Occupation Sail Maker married Katherine Power at St Johns Nfld. (K.B). 4 no mention of the voyage (K.B.) 5 Note: John Melvin on the First Vessel, but is different K.B. ) 6 Note: Ferryland is located on the Southern Shore of the Avalon Peninsula of Newfoundland (K.B.) 7 a shore man was a man who fished close to shore in a small boat (K.B.)
