| To His Excelency the Governor in Council
the petition of the undersigned humbly ???
19th Dec 87 that your petitioners are duly
qualified electors residing in an area or section of the
electoral district of Trinity Bay comprised and
bounded as follows on the south by Spread Eagle
on the west by Chapel and north by Colliers Bay Cove
that the said area or sections contains the following
harbours or settlements Norman's Cove, Chapel, Lodges,
Little Ridge, and Long Cove
That your petitioners are desirons and humbly pray your Excelency in Council that a proclomentation or notice be issued under the of an act passed in the forty seventh year of the reign of Her Majesty Queen Victoria chapter of ??? An act to provide for the better preservation of sheep and for other purposes prohibiting the keeping of dogs within the above area or section of the above district and petitioners will ever pray Voted at Norman's Cove Chapel Arm the 19th day of December 1887 |

I certify that upon due scrutiny of the annexed petition, from the electors
of Norman's Cove, Chapel, Lodges, Little Ridge, and Long Cove in the district
of Trinity Bay - I find that the same contains the bona fide signitures
of more than one third of the duly qualified electors resident within
the limits or boundries set forth in the said petition.
